Why do museums base their entire model on selling OG pieces? Couldn’t a print museum (that also sells OGs) do really well? They could even have it fresh printed for you by the time you hit the exit, you just select them in your museum app. Well if no one else takes the idea I’ll start one.
I think one of the problems with customers buying something online, and the colours matching the purchased print etc - is if they have a poor quality / general consumer monitor, it's very unlikely to be calibrated with a professional colour calibration device. Therefore, the colour of the print, won't always match what the customer viewed online - as an artist, you can't really do anything about that.
Agreed, all you can do is the best you can to try to get your artwork online to look like what most of the monitors out there will display. It's a best guess/approximation. What I do is look at my website on my iPhone, then on a PC, then on an iMac retina display. I try to make it look good on all of those that are running the newest operating systems. I realize there are a lot of people with older operating systems/computers, but I try to optimize for the newer ones.
This amazing episode made me realize that I would love to hear about artistic printing from you specifically. I wonder if you have ever tackled this topic on your channel already (new subscriber question, sorry and thank you 😄💖) Edit: Since the above comment was posted half-watching, I now got the answer at the end of the video. You're just a formidable soul. God bless you💖
Thank you! And yes, I have created a lot of videos about making art prints. Basically everything you want to know about the process is on the playlist on my channel but if you have any questions just comment and I'm happy to help :-)
Always a pleasure learning from the queen of common sense. God Bless you
Great information!
Thank you! Hope it helps!
