Gary Moore Blood Of Emeralds
I was born up on the North side,
Where the Lagan River flows.
When I came across the border,
I was following my nose.
Dublin city '69,
There could have been no better place,
There was no better time.
Through the thunder and the rain,
The deepest blood of emeralds
Was running through my veins.
Blood of emeralds.
I was down and out on Skid Row,
But I held on to my pride.
The darkest son of Ireland,
He was standin' by my side.
We would sail the stormy seas.
Never looking back,
We were afraid of what we'd see.
Through the thunder and the rain,
The deepest blood of emeralds
Was running through our veins.
Some of us will win and some of us will lose,
The strong will survive.
Some of us will fall,
Some of us won't get out of here alive.
Blood of emeralds.
Blood of emeralds.
I was angry, I was sad,
Just thinking about the times we had.
I felt so lost and lonely too,
What could I say, what could I do?
After all, the time goes by.
No one knows the reasons why.
You lived each day like there was no tomorrow.
You spent those years living on time you borrowed.
And in your eyes, all I could see was sorrow.
Some of us will win, some of us will lose,
The strong will survive.
Some of us will fall,
Some of us won't get out of here alive.
Blood of emeralds.
Blood of emeralds.
Blood of emeralds.
Blood of emeralds.
The deepest blood of emeralds.
Blood of emeralds.
The deepest blood of emeralds.
The deepest, deepest blood of emeralds.
GARY MOORE
April 4th, 1952-February 6th, 2011 -- RIP - Hudba
Gary could not only play like a little god he also had a wonderful voice.
Rest in peace my beloved Gary Moore!
The best...the best musician of the all time!. He is the guitar God...He Is eternal!!
Gary's tribute to Phil.....Neil on the synthesizers.........all from Thin Lizzy......one of the most fitting and greatest pieces ever written and played. It combines the Irish jig, military beat, and lyrics that tell the life of the Northern Irish. God Bless Them!
Gary wrote this track in Phils memory, I hope some one does the same for Gary.
God bless mate, RIP.

Gary was truly one of the very best.
Got to love Gary Moore. Until his last days, he never stopped playing with so much soul and emotion. RIP Master.
This song means so much to me. May you rest in peace Gary! 💚
there will never be another Gary Moore again may you and Phil lynott be hanging togeather in heaven
My favourite Gary Moore song. So glad to find a live recording of it. A touching tribute to a friendship that saw him and the great Phil Lynott standing side by side going through tumultuous times together. A beautiful song that always brings a tear.
RIP my hero. This is so good that there are no great words. AWESOME!!!!
couldn't possibly agree more! ya true he was multi-talented but the blues is what he was UNMATCHED and BRILLIANT at, there are tons of guys who can rock, and a few who can play the blues, and ONE who could do both!
Gary was the blues master, so much feeling in his playing
We were waiting for so long for the rock days to return and new material sounded great.
You certainly left us high on your game-
Better to burn out than fade away.
RIP Gary Moore.
Es una de mis canciones favoritas de el Señoron Gary Moore junto con "Left Me With The Blues", "Once In A Lifetime", y "Over The Hills And Far Away". Por ahí tiene una gran interpretación de "Need Your Love So Bad", y "So Many Roads" con John Mayall, y como no olvidar la interpretación con B.B. King de "The Trhills Is Gone"
this guy was the real deal for sure....guitar god.
