Brent Simester solid call. The lack of a case really shocked me. They usually love to sell things in cases to take up toolbox space, so you need a bigger box.
Dude, thank you. I just picked one up Monday on an impulse buy from my local vendor. I thought it was a pretty good deal at 6 mos/0% finance, but after playing with it for a couple days I realize it's just not that special. Like you mentioned, an advanced Tech knows what they're looking for, my laser IR thermometer does the same thing- just without the visual image, for much less money. I love my Snappy tools, but I should have done more research before I bought this one. I'll be returning it next week. After I play with it around the house for a weekend. I like everything about it, but the price.
EuroCoffee they just released a newer version which seems better, though I don't know the price (my SO guy is on sick leave). That said, I haven't gotten to see or play with it at all. Sounds like you feel as I did about this one. I found some air leaks around my house with it, then returned it. Ha

I just bought this tool, it's simply awesome. Especially having bought it from ebay used for 350,00. For that price, it is a great tool.
