And just to explain the methodology behind the testing a little bit:
-I took as many swings as necessary to get 4 'perfect' barrels with each bat.
-This was my 4th exit velo video of the day, so I had about 100+ 'warm-up' swings under my belt going into this video, so getting loose as the video went on was not a factor...if anything I was getting more tired lol.
-Hittrax is not a very good tool for tracking distance/spin when it comes to a softball, but it's exit velo & radar tracking is spot on. We have experienced inconsistent data and mis-read galore with Pocket Radar and Rapsodo, but never with Hittrax (when it comes to tracking exit velocity).

Absolutely agree with your rankings with one mention that the 240 axe barrel from unicorn sports is right on par with the genny. The big reason these two bats excel is I’m convinced they didn’t change their 220 barrels and just kept them as is for the 240 stamp. My rational is they both are stupid hot out the wrapper but will both break in ~500 swings you hit hard balls in 60 degrees. The other brands barrels changed significantly from last years performance.
The Easton has hot and cold spots on the barrel.

The 220 version the red balanced AP2 and the John kings swings the same way only half oz end load opposed to the 3/4. Would love to see what one of those does
Genesis bats are unreal always been loyal to LS. These bats put them back in the game and now people are starting to finally go back and realize these bats are crazy hot and durable.
I'm dying to get myself a new genesis to study. DeMarini and louisville bats have always been top tier slowpitch bats.

Re: how the Genesis outperforms models at similar compression. From a design engineering standpoint, exit velo & compression are not linear (as results showed). Various composite layups will have different bend & elasticity profiles based on factors such as weave, layers, and direction resulting in differences in energy transfer/trampoline effect (post compression) as the barrel material is returning to its “neutral state”.
I wish you to throw the KP 23 in there I know it doesn't pass compression but just to see where it is with these other bats

I'm just wondering if honestly you think there's a bit of a placebo effect when you pick up the Genesis? Or is it really just that far above all the other bats when testing. I've seen just about every video where there's a Genesis involved and your mood instantly changes every time you pick it up.
I'm really curious about your answer to this.

Love my Genesis, I have all 3 versions and all perform great....i really think the Blue Balanced Suncoast Austin Dawe model would perform better than the Endloaded black/gray Suncoast (personal experience plus the blue one is newer version) but really surprised by a 3 mph difference between the Genesis and the others...great job
I thought the blue suncoast was super light. My buddy has a 27 and I normally swing 26 and it felt like a 25 to me

Nothing would change. It would still be that order because you’re using the same ball for all 5 bats
Only thing with the sluggers is the durability. My son's balance two piece genesis busted with 75 swings.
Dirty Sanchez has a video on his ig from several months ago going over how you need to get 50-100 half swings on them to break in the inner barrel first and they’ll last longer. Can’t just go to town on them off the rip or they’ll break.

I have a 26.5 geny, scales at 27.3 ,it is suppose to be an once endload but does not feel like it. I know the APG is only 3/4 oz endload. Which of the two has a better enload feel? I'm wondering if handle weight might be different?
I really prefer the APG2

every 2 pc genesis Ive gotten has paint issues or cracked within 200 swings. League night or tourney games in Las Vegas. no more lousville for me. Fire flex is the way to go.

Ain’t gonna lie, I just don’t believe it🤣 the ruckus feels the best out of the 5. The pures feel like crap and so do the eastons. The Louisville has too long of a barrel and sounds terrible
The 240 slugger barrels are one of the softest and most responsive barrels I’ve felt in a long time. The only ruckus model I’ve tried is the dawe but it doesn’t feel as hot as any 240 slugger I’ve tried.

You can clearly see from the start compared the to the first swing with the genny, they ain’t the same. Measure your hand speed. Otherwise. I promise you, this was the 4th exit velo test video of the day. Those first swings with the Pure were probably swing 80, 81, 82, and 83 on the day.

those other 4 bats are all fantastic. The early Miken/Worth 240s (Krecher, Freak23, Mach1, Freak9r) were failing compression on us and cracking too much man. Looks like they're tweaking the new ones though with the Easton merger so we'll try them again soon (DC41, Watermelon, and their 2022 bats)
