  • I went to have a look at a 1972 Lancia Fulvia 1.3s.
The colour is a Bleu Jamaica metallized with beige seats.
Very nice but I don't like all the oil I saw under it.
Shall I buy it or not ? Let me know your thoughts

I remember buying my 1974 Fulvia coupe in 1976 with about 19,000 miles on it. Paid around £1,600 GB pounds for it. Sold it in 79 for about half that and with 85,000 miles on it. It’s great to see these are keeping their value. Great car!

I love the fulvias. They are so cool cars and I wanted to buy one but now the car prices are insane

I know the car is sold, but to anyone looking for advice buying a Fulvia; that overspray in the wheel wells shouts "leave it" to me. A cosmetic paint job I recon.

Unless it has something really seriously wrong this is a decent price as the mileage is quite high at 98000km i noticed.I paid £7.500, 5 years ago for a lower mileage car and it has been valued at double what i paid so they are an appreciating classic that has lived in Alfa Romeos shadow for a long time hence the relatively low prices.Go on Hagertys car valuation tool and that will give you a good idea on what they are worth now.8k models usually have some hidden rust issues on inner sills, driver and passenger floors ,boot area and subframe mountings.Any suspension/wheel hub work requires special tooling but engines if well maintained are bullet proof. Most importantly it may seem cheap and yes there is the covid issue but go over it thoroughly and get it up on some ramps if you can.Get a nice one and they are stunning cars to drive for their age but like with most classics lower mileage = higher price.

Remember it is X98000km ;-) My Fulvia has 51000km on the odometer, but over 45 years it bet it spun around more than one time. Italians (no offence) seems to stick to the belief "oh yes, those 5 digits are original km" :-) :-)

@@ste.fiorav I think it was a good price if the bodyshell was solid. it depends on what you are looking for. A perfect car is EUR 17000+ this looks a good car for 9400 but would cost another 9400 to make perfect so price is about right I think

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on....So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called "Abgasbespaßung". :-(((

That's why I moved to Portugal. Here, they will only forbid the sale of gas cars in 2030. You'll be able to by them second hand and drive them on the road. I have a 66 Fulvia with 110 PS on the wheels, an AR Giulietta 1600 from 1984 and a 4x4 Panda from 97 (great fun). 🙂

@@ste.fiorav I was expecting like this. Only if there is no rust on the floor and technically everything is ok, I would buy it. There are many Fulvia specific areas, but the mountings of the subframe on the body are the key area for me. If they are stable, the body should be ok.
