South Australia is one of the windiest places hence the huge amount of wind turbines on the eyre and yorke peninsulas. Adelaide can be windy very windy at times.
Really interesting q&a, guys. Thanks for doing it...and documenting the whole trip really. In regard to the passing, I think the states of Victoria and Northern Territory are the only two in Australia that haven't legislated for Minimum Passing Distance Laws. So, if a vehicle is travelling above 60km/h they have to give 1.5m of space. There's been a good campaign to legislate for it here in Ireland but unfortunately numerous Transport Ministers have dragged their heels when it comes to legislating. Safe cycling and enjoy the rest of the trip, guys!

“London’s worse”. Fuuuck. Actually find riding outside of cities here in Australia ok, although a lack of real should does make it worse than it should be. Never really found drivers that bad here though, the majority are actually good. Hearing that even London is worse scares the crap out of me given I want to do a UK ride soon 😬

Top tip: Once rolled, give the towel a few twists at each end! It wrings out your kit and is pretty much bone dry 🙌🏻
