  • Growing up in 🇭🇰Hong Kong, Vivek Mahbubani was forced by his Indian family to learn Cantonese as a “survival skill”.
Now as a stand-up comedian, it's a superpower that enables him to make people laugh all over the world.
Back for another Melbourne International Comedy Festival with his act - performed entirely in Cantonese - he reflects on the growing Asian comedy scene and what it takes to be funny in another language. 🎤

I love how in Cantonese if your being sarcastic or have dry humour you really hear it with the tone, good video 🤙🏽
