The first half of the song had been sung in the Hajong language. It originated from the Sino- Tibetan language family ; with Indo-Aryan influences( because of the hundreds of years of cultural amalgamation)having given rise to different dialects as well. The Hajong are an indigenous tribe living mainly in Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Bangladesh as well.
This rendition signifies the celebration of sowing paddy seeds, whilst worshiping nature's deities and having playful mud fights amongst all age groups.

As a Bangladeshi Muslim I truly love our Punjabi brothers. My father always told me that Sikhs are kind, brave people. I've met a lot of Sikhs in Canada and what he said has been proven true many times. May your people never face oppression.

Hi, hope you’re well. Thank you for the reaction and kind words. OMG you have to react to more Bengali songs especially movie songs to understand the diversity range of music & songs we have.

this song is a misture of two languages. First one is hajong. And second one is Bengali. As 99 percent people of Bangladesh are the bengali ethnic group ,it is our first language, And Hajong is a language of a tribal group of our country. 21st Fabruary is the International Mother Language Day, we sacrificed our lives in 1952 for our language and later in 1999 UNESCO recongnised it and its now celebrated all over the world. So in the month of language we paid tribute to our minorities and its a song mixing hajong and bangla folk. Loved your react very much, looking forward to more 😊

Well, the song is actually a fusion of Hagong (a tribal language of northern Bangladesh) and Bangla . Here, 'Nasek' means 'Let's Dance'. February is the month of International Mother Language day and Bangladeshi are only nation who sacrifice their life for mother language in 21 Feb. 1952.So, the coke studio Bangla paid respect to the multi-cultural languages that are present in Bangladesh. To make the songs comprehensible for non-Bengali viewers like you, Coke studio Bangla also enable the accessibility of English subtitle.
