I grew up with an abusive mother who drank and told me I was a mistake. We had a tumultuous relationship but became friends as I became an adult, but then she split and moved to California and didn't even tell me goodbye. I was carrying around so much resentment and hate that my life became quite a rollercoaster. When COVID hit, I sat up in bed one night and spoke the words "It's time to go to her" "She's dying" And I spent the last year of her life taking care of her, making her fancy lunches and in the end, I washed her feet while she sat on her shower chair to weak to stand. I forgave her a long time before I came to her, but it was putting my forgiveness into action that I truly felt the peace I had so desperately needed all those years. I got to spend her last year making her happy and I finally don't have to take my anxiety medication anymore.
Thank you for sharing this. Something similar happened to me before my father died. He tortured me as a child. After 20 years apart, I could see past my hurt and accept him as he was. This created a powerful shift in our relationship. Some people think that escaping abuse is the end of it. The escape is just the beginning of clearing of what is inside of you that created the abuse to begin with. True forgiveness holds the key.
I had a horrible upbringing, 2 nervous breakdowns, 8 months in the hospital (plus many other visits), tried ECT, 40 TMS treatments. Every med known to man. Brainwashed, used abused and thrown away like a piece of trash. Life is just starting to take shape at 42. All this more or less alone. Don't give up 🙏

Sometimes I think this is the time that are testing within ourselves. I believe in forgiveness but I also believe that people who have been manipulated by others do not owe them anything but silence & absence. To do otherwise is to condone their behavior. I had people behave very badly to me right after I lost my Mom. The one man I truly cared about wasn't there for me during my darkest moments. The woman I considered my best friend lied to me & manipulated situations regarding the sale of my Mom's house. That was a 25 year friendship gone. Sometimes it isn't our lesson to learn, it is theirs.

Great wise men/ women of past have written about this exact same experience of the human senses. Once you understand what perfect love is... (within the spirit) there is absolutely nothing here within this world that can even compare. Spiritualy, your no-longer 100% looking at Earth and your earthly experience with the same lense as you once did, because you know deep within your core that Love is the key to life. Here on earth, that level of love does not exist here. So we long to be back in Nirvana, our home with God and others like us. The heavenly plain of existence that fills us like little children playing in the light of pure love. Many have said that the sting of life, while being alive in this body, has lost its taste of joy; continue to guide others along the path of life and know that your not alone. You are so loved.
Of course this is part of the truth… but it can really stop us in our evolution if we think that’s the only thing going on. Why does a baby have a health issue or a person get hit by a car or lightning? There’s a bigger picture we can tap into that actually (and paradoxically) empowers us when we get curious about how we can heal and evolve through what is happening.
My dad was the absolute world to me. He was loved by everyone he ever met. He was an amazing artist and creative mind. He suffered immensely at the end of his life. Even after watching I’m still confused as to why he had to go through all that. Thank you for sharing.

The people you don't understand is because YOU DO UNDERSTAND. It's those of them that don't. Being 28 in a kind of culture where it's believed that you gotta be rich, have 8-pack abs and hookup with every girl you see can be very anxiety-inducing. But what really matters is the realization I had today that we always have the power to realign and choose better thoughts and actions. Those commenting about how their parents abused them and then they took care of their unapologetic parents until they died simply proved that they did not have the courage, bravery, compassion, kindness, and authenticity towards themselves (the God within) to love themselves, to stand up for and empathize with themselves, to rightly call for justice and be authentic. You matter. God does not want you to be a doormat. Being a doormat does not make you virtuous or a good person or earn you brownie points; it just evidences that you are a poor soul who missed the mark. Standing up to abusers is the challenging hard work. Being a compliant codependent is sadly just a person who sorely needed psychological help and did not get any.

Awe. My dear, you are so loved. You are from the divine, yet we all come here to earth to suffer. We expand our soul as a result of suffering. It doesn't make sense that divine beings leave the divine to come here to earth to be challenged and ultimately suffer. I believe we suffer more when we turn our backs to Source/God. I also have experienced very little love, yet I have love in my heart. I believe that is the true testament ...that even though we didn't receive enough love, yet we still love. When I heard Yeshua's voice tell me on March 10, 2021 that He has always loved me and He was always by my side, it reduces me to tears because I didn't feel much love. I grew up in a violent home of an alcoholic father; I never felt like I belonged or fit in too. I felt like I was on the outside looking in. I am now 64 and I'm just learning this. @realtalk5329 Ironically, I've been watching a lot of NDE videos lately. Most don't want to come back to this world of so much suffering (The School of Hard Knocks). But they really don't explain what we are supposed to gain by being here. Learning empathy/compassion/love for others seems to be a good lesson to learn for "spiritual growth". My theory would explain why God never intevenes to end suffering and why he put Satan in charge.

I have bad things happen to me all the time. It's part of life. We all have problems. Problems are a guaranteed like death and taxes. You can't escape from it.
@@LaoSoftware We all have problems, but some problems are different that others. We all have taxes and death, but we don't all have a sexually abusive and sabotaging father, for example. I'd take lethal cancer at 45 and a loving family anyday, at least, this way I'd have a good life until my early 40s. Now I am 36 and my life until 29 was a horror show.
I didn't sign up for all the abuse and SA from a child into adult hood. Who decided that i was strong enough for me to handle that so i could transer it to someone else? Being loved is not enough. I have been seeking connection my whole life. Trying to overcome trauma my whole life also. I have learned a lot. But none of this knowledge helps to remove the damage from early trauma. I have been heartbroken my entire life and can’t seem to escape it. I have brief moments where I feel like I’m healed. But it doesn’t last and I’m left in the dark depression wanting end my life once again. I can’t seem to escape it. There is no good advice for this problem that I haven’t already used. I’m 59 and very weary and just want to go home.
That reminds me of an NDE where the person had seen these dome pods in an area of heaven that were used to heal the trauma souls had carried with them from their earthly experiences.

Try to think about it this way: you have identified yourself as a victim of injustice, unlove, worthiness. Some part of you refuses to let go of that maybe because it's more comfortable (because it's a familiar feeling) or because deep inside you want to punish the ones who made you feel that way. I'm 60. I have been unloved all my life straight till the point I realized I'm the one who has loved me the least. Not them but me. Once I saw that that way so many things changed for me and those around me. All the love I had bottled in while feeling sorry for myself was finally out. I have so much love to give and the more I give the more I want to give out. I no longer care who loves me or why someone does not love me. I don't care anymore because I have so much love I want to give out. I had a time in my life where I was contemplating ending it. I have a son and I read once that when you kill yourself the pain does not end. Rather it goes to someone else. That sentence was the beginning of my change. I had a mirror in a part of my open concept home and wherever I would go in the house I would have to look at that mirror. I decided that everytime I would look at that mirror I would smile at it. Most of my first smiles were inundated with tears as I would slowly say goodby at my victim-self. Then I started loving to go by the mirror to see my smile. Never regretted because I would have given my son and those who loved me great suffering. I still have dark days but I no longer miss that part of me. Love yourself my dear friend because you are worth of so much more. And, my friend, right now my waves of love will touch your heart, even if it is between tears. ❤
My mom is 59 years old so I'm so sorry you feel this way..Only thing with my mother is she denies help and has abused me when I was younger and I grew up to be semi dependent adult and not by choice and it's hurting me. I have been seriously depressed for months because I just turned 39. I managed to cope with being 38 and tell myself you are still young but the fact I'm not 25-35 really young anymore I have serious anxiety about age and am developing avoidant personality disorder because I'm scared to go around others due to my age. I have been told how young I am ages 18 to 35 but now I know that's a lie. I'm also gay and wish I didn't have to be. I wish you could see the way gay men act when you get older. It's such a disgusting and perverted. Noone is really looking for love but only to be gross. It's also an extremely lonely life being this way. also Being 39 in the gay community means you might as well go to kill yourself because you are ancient. I mean I've seen older gay men than me probably 50 get married but it's rare and never last for us 😒 I was so angry with God yesterday I asked him God why do I have to go through so much hell and I felt so bad because I don't want to be that way with God but I'm so sick and tired..sleeping for 20 hours a day sometimes trying to escape reality and I do have a psychiatrist but very unsupportive. I also have zero friends, family, and emotional support from the ones around. My mom still thinks she's a child. She was never a mother to me or my sister. We got yelled at and beat instead of being listened to and instead of being taught how to work hard for things got them handed over which created a adult with a child like mind but I did managed to almost finished my BS in accounting which helped give me a little bit more class, culturedx and more mature. I believe mom is narcissistic or suffering with BPD. I care for her deeply but the pain she caused caused me to dissociate and detach emotionally where I couldn't feel anymore. I still don’t understand why bad things happen to good people??? My best friend since middle school passed away in a car crash, she was 30. The most gentle giving selfless person I’ve ever met, she was a nurse, she did everything by the book, she went to church and loved and adored her mom. Her mom was in the car too they both were killed. She didn’t have a chance to start a family and be a loving mother herself. That family is ripped apart because her mom was the glue. Our friends are in mourning because of her sudden untimely death. Her dad is drinking himself to death. So tell me again, why do bad things happen to good people because I’m not convinced.

Hello! I will share with you my understanding of why bad things happen to good people. In heaven, we design our own lives (pre-birth) as influenced by our spirit guides. We place challenges in our lives, (some of these challenges may end our life) as well as exit points that help our souls expand and grow to raise our consciousness. Your beautiful friend and her mom made a soul contract that at some point in their lives, (after completing their life mission), to die together. It is hard to accept and it is painful because we no longer have that person(s) in our lives. I hope in time your grief will turn to love, understanding and peace.

Bad things happen to everyone, whether you’re a good or a bad person. Some people, however, do have more than their share of bad things. Before we are born, our soul has already made a soul contract in Heaven to decide what kind of life we will experience, who our parents will be, where we will live, and the type of experiences and lessons we will need to learn in order for our souls to learn and grow. Your friend and her mother had already decided all this before birth. Once their life purposes and life missions were accomplished, it was time for them to return home to Heaven. Pray for them and talk to them as if they were there in person with you. Though you can not see them anymore, they see you, and are very much aware of how much you miss them and love them.
about 6-7 yrs ago I woke up and heard quite clearly a voice within me..not me but out of the blue, I was being told that everything is preordained and I chose my family to learn Forgiveness...I was always the sensitive one in my family and had some abuse that had deeply affected me. It’s very difficult to find compassion for those, who hurt us, but it is possible. Compassion for our tormentors is ultimately liberating for us and frees us from the pain. Look at them as ill and unfulfilled lives.
Forgiveness isn’t easy when people have done bad things to us. I know because it’s happened many times in my life. I learned to forgive and filled my heart with love and comfort and not hate and anger. I forgave those people who did me wrong and closed the door behind me.
@@josephgill7410 Yes but sometimes people make bad choices and that affects you, so just atoning for the past is taking things too far. Case in point: my sister who is downright destructive. She's made some very bad choices, and I've forgiven many times but she's just toxic. It's one thing to be forgiving but another to be self harming by continuing a destructive relationship. This is a balance and only the individual can work this out with careful and honest reflection. We don't have to become victims to the bad choices of others is what I'm saying.
Alright, but how is it shown that the souls are powerful enough to love regarding abused children? Everywhere I look I see adult children needing to go no contact with their abusive family in order to live a peaceful life. Everyone - including me - says they flourished as soon as they cut out the abusers. What kind of "showing love" is this? Unless the point is to show that we can still love after horrible things having had happened in our pasts. We can still love, just not the abusers. We can still love, but other people.

Well, I have watched a lot of NDE videos, and some of them say they saw Hitler in Hell, and others say that he was in Heaven since he had asked forgiveness for his sins, so that does not make the NDE stories believeable since both statements can not be true.

@@susanwelch9087 I learned that God's intension for every believer is to overcome and get strong against the enemy. Suffering is not the end, it is to take the armor of God and fight in the power of God.
I think this is why some people go missing, so that they can start a fresh life, without ever having to bump into the person/people who did them wrong. After all, who would stay in the same place where the incident happened? It would be very naive to do that. We all deserve to move on and to forget the bad.
So My sister has lost two sons one was murdered in 2005 Michael and he was only 31 and then her husband died in 2009 and he was only 58, and then her other son Jose died in 2021 april five days before her birthday and he was only 46 and died from overdose. She only has one son left and he's couldn't care less about her. He's so cold and non loving at all, so how is it ok to have so much pain and misery in this world. I'm 62 now and she's 67 we are all we have because everyone is gone! Parents died when I was 11 and mom died when I was 23 and four brothers gone and last year in July our oldest sister died totally unexpected. Now we look at each other and wonder who's next? I never had children and two divorces so I feel like a total failure. Please pray for me and sister Estella. Thank you

I do not love the neighbours that stalk me. I do not love their oppression nor do I love how they ruin my life on a daily basis, relentlessly. I do not forgive their premeditated malevolant actions towards me, that would go against my will to survive, that would go against my own life.
Good people suffer here because each and everyone one of us are here for a trial to be tested. Society has been taught that death is bad and scary, but I believe The more selfless, loving, caring you are, the quicker you’ll get to heaven. That’s what I’ve believed.

I can understand forgiveness and being kind and having God in your heart with everything you do but when you're with somebody who does nothing but criticize you every single day and treat you like trash even when you're good to them yes you can forgive them but live with them? No.

Excellent. You can do this. Important way to think about it: I might drink next weekend. I don't know. It's not next weekend yet. I don't have to worry about it. I won't drink today. It's only one day at time. Soon that one day becomes 4 days, then a week, then a month, then months, then years and decades. I'm sober 36 years now, just one day at a time. I believe bad things happen to good people because its soul lessons our soul needs to learn to ascend to higher dimensions/heaven. Kinda like "earning your angel wings". And yes learning love and unconditional love is a huge life lesson ❤️

I grew up with an abusive mother who drank and told me I was a mistake. We had a tumultuous relationship but became friends as I became an adult, but then she split and moved to California and didn't even tell me goodbye. I was carrying around so much resentment and hate that my life became quite a rollercoaster. When COVID hit, I sat up in bed one night and spoke the words "It's time to go to her" "She's dying" And I spent the last year of her life taking care of her, making her fancy lunches and in the end, I washed her feet while she sat on her shower chair to weak to stand. I forgave her a long time before I came to her, but it was putting my forgiveness into action that I truly felt the peace I had so desperately needed all those years. I got to spend her last year making her happy and I finally don't have to take my anxiety medication anymore.

Thank you for sharing this. Something similar happened to me before my father died. He tortured me as a child. After 20 years apart, I could see past my hurt and accept him as he was. This created a powerful shift in our relationship. Some people think that escaping abuse is the end of it. The escape is just the beginning of clearing of what is inside of you that created the abuse to begin with. True forgiveness holds the key.

Touched by your message about being alone. Very tough lesson to overcome. If there are others alone....then you're not alone in being alone. If that makes sense. The people you don't understand is because YOU DO UNDERSTAND. It's those of them that don't. Being 28 in a kind of culture where it's believed that you gotta be rich, have 8-pack abs and hookup with every girl you see can be very anxiety-inducing. Those commenting about how their parents abused them and then they took care of their unapologetic parents until they died simply proved that they did not have the courage, bravery, compassion, kindness, and authenticity towards themselves (the God within) to love themselves, to stand up for and empathize with themselves, to rightly call for justice and be authentic. You matter. God does not want you to be a doormat. Being a doormat does not make you virtuous or a good person or earn you brownie points; it just evidences that you are a poor soul who missed the mark. Standing up to abusers is the challenging hard work. Being a compliant codependent is sadly just a person who sorely needed psychological help and did not get any.

Most don't want to come back to this world of so much suffering (The School of Hard Knocks). But they really don't explain what we are supposed to gain by being here.
Learning empathy/compassion/love for others seems to be a good lesson to learn for "spiritual growth".
My theory would explain why God never intevenes to end suffering and why he put Satan in charge.

We all have problems, but some problems are different that others. We all have taxes and death, but we don't all have a sexually abusive and sabotaging father, for example. I'd take lethal cancer at 45 and a loving family anyday, at least, this way I'd have a good life until my early 40s. Now I am 36 and my life until 29 was a horror show.

Being loved is not enough. I have been seeking connection my whole life. Trying to overcome trauma my whole life also. I have learned a lot. But none of this knowledge helps to remove the damage from early trauma. I have been heartbroken my entire life and can’t seem to escape it. I have brief moments where I feel like I’m healed. But it doesn’t last and I’m left in the dark depression wanting end my life once again. I can’t seem to escape it. There is no good advice for this problem that I haven’t already used. I’m 59 and very weary and just want to go home.
That reminds me of an NDE where the person had seen these dome pods in an area of heaven that were used to heal the trauma souls had carried with them from their earthly experiences.

Try to think about it this way: you have identified yourself as a victim of injustice, unlove, worthiness. Some part of you refuses to let go of that maybe because it's more comfortable (because it's a familiar feeling) or because deep inside you want to punish the ones who made you feel that way.
I'm 60. I have been unloved all my life straight till the point I realized I'm the one who has loved me the least. Not them but me. Once I saw that that way so many things changed for me and those around me. All the love I had bottled in while feeling sorry for myself was finally out. I have so much love to give and the more I give the more I want to give out. I no longer care who loves me or why someone does not love me. I don't care anymore because I have so much love I want to give out.
I had a time in my life where I was contemplating ending it. I have a son and I read once that when you kill yourself the pain does not end. Rather it goes to someone else. That sentence was the beginning of my change. I had a mirror in a part of my open concept home and wherever I would go in the house I would have to look at that mirror. I decided that everytime I would look at that mirror I would smile at it. Most of my first smiles were inundated with tears as I would slowly say goodby at my victim-self. Then I started loving to go by the mirror to see my smile. Never regretted because I would have given my son and those who loved me great suffering. I still have dark days but I no longer miss that part of me.

My mom is 59 years old so I'm so sorry you feel this way..Only thing with my mother is she denies help and has abused me when I was younger and I grew up to be semi dependent adult and not by choice and it's hurting me. I have been seriously depressed for months because I just turned 39. I managed to cope with being 38 and tell myself you are still young but the fact I'm not 25-35 really young anymore I have serious anxiety about age and am developing avoidant personality disorder because I'm scared to go around others due to my age. I have been told how young I am ages 18 to 35 but now I know that's a lie. I'm also gay and wish I didn't have to be. I wish you could see the way gay men act when you get older. It's such a disgusting and perverted. Noone is really looking for love but only to be gross. It's also an extremely lonely life being this way. also Being 39 in the gay community means you might as well go to kill yourself because you are ancient. I mean I've seen older gay men than me probably 50 get married but it's rare and never last for us 😒 I was so angry with God yesterday I asked him God why do I have to go through so much hell and I felt so bad because I don't want to be that way with God but I'm so sick and tired..sleeping for 20 hours a day sometimes trying to escape reality and I do have a psychiatrist but very unsupportive. I also have zero friends, family, and emotional support from the ones around. My mom still thinks she's a child. She was never a mother to me or my sister. We got yelled at and beat instead of being listened to and instead of being taught how to work hard for things got them handed over which created a adult with a child like mind but I did managed to almost finished my BS in accounting which helped give me a little bit more class, culturedx and more mature. I believe mom is narcissistic or suffering with BPD. I care for her deeply but the pain she caused caused me to dissociate and detach emotionally where I couldn't feel anymore. The most gentle giving selfless person I’ve ever met, she was a nurse, she did everything by the book, she went to church and loved and adored her mom. Her mom was in the car too they both were killed. She didn’t have a chance to start a family and be a loving mother herself. That family is ripped apart because her mom was the glue. Our friends are in mourning because of her sudden untimely death. Her dad is drinking himself to death. So tell me again, why do bad things happen to good people because I’m not convinced.

Hello! I will share with you my understanding of why bad things happen to good people. In heaven, we design our own lives (pre-birth) as influenced by our spirit guides. We place challenges in our lives, (some of these challenges may end our life) as well as exit points that help our souls expand and grow to raise our consciousness. Your beautiful friend and her mom made a soul contract that at some point in their lives, (after completing their life mission), to die together. It is hard to accept and it is painful because we no longer have that person(s) in our lives. I hope in time your grief will turn to love, understanding and peace.

Bad things happen to everyone, whether you’re a good or a bad person. Some people, however, do have more than their share of bad things.
Before we are born, our soul has already made a soul contract in Heaven to decide what kind of life we will experience, who our parents will be, where we will live, and the type of experiences and lessons we will need to learn in order for our souls to learn and grow.
Your friend and her mother had already decided all this before birth. Once their life purposes and life missions were accomplished, it was time for them to return home to Heaven.
Pray for them and talk to them as if they were there in person with you. Though you can not see them anymore, they see you, and are very much aware of how much you miss them and love them.
about 6-7 yrs ago I woke up and heard quite clearly a voice within me..not me but out of the blue, I was being told that everything is preordained and I chose my family to learn Forgiveness...I was always the sensitive one in my family and had some abuse that had deeply affected me. It’s very difficult to find compassion for those, who hurt us, but it is possible. Compassion for our tormentors is ultimately liberating for us and frees us from the pain. Look at them as ill and unfulfilled lives.
Forgiveness isn’t easy when people have done bad things to us. I know because it’s happened many times in my life. I learned to forgive and filled my heart with love and comfort and not hate and anger. I forgave those people who did me wrong and closed the door behind me.
@@josephgill7410 Yes but sometimes people make bad choices and that affects you, so just atoning for the past is taking things too far. Case in point: my sister who is downright destructive. She's made some very bad choices, and I've forgiven many times but she's just toxic. It's one thing to be forgiving but another to be self harming by continuing a destructive relationship. This is a balance and only the individual can work this out with careful and honest reflection. We don't have to become victims to the bad choices of others is what I'm saying.

Alright, but how is it shown that the souls are powerful enough to love regarding abused children? Everywhere I look I see adult children needing to go no contact with their abusive family in order to live a peaceful life. Everyone - including me - says they flourished as soon as they cut out the abusers. What kind of "showing love" is this? Unless the point is to show that we can still love after horrible things having had happened in our pasts. We can still love, just not the abusers. We can still love, but other people.

Well, I have watched a lot of NDE videos, and some of them say they saw Hitler in Hell, and others say that he was in Heaven since he had asked forgiveness for his sins, so that does not make the NDE stories believeable since both statements can not be true.

@@susanwelch9087 I learned that God's intension for every believer is to overcome and get strong against the enemy. Suffering is not the end, it is to take the armor of God and fight in the power of God.
I think this is why some people go missing, so that they can start a fresh life, without ever having to bump into the person/people who did them wrong. After all, who would stay in the same place where the incident happened? It would be very naive to do that. We all deserve to move on and to forget the bad.
So My sister has lost two sons one was murdered in 2005 Michael and he was only 31 and then her husband died in 2009 and he was only 58, and then her other son Jose died in 2021 april five days before her birthday and he was only 46 and died from overdose. She only has one son left and he's couldn't care less about her. He's so cold and non loving at all, so how is it ok to have so much pain and misery in this world. I'm 62 now and she's 67 we are all we have because everyone is gone! Parents died when I was 11 and mom died when I was 23 and four brothers gone and last year in July our oldest sister died totally unexpected. Now we look at each other and wonder who's next? I never had children and two divorces so I feel like a total failure. Please pray for me and sister Estella. Thank you

Why does he say there's no hell? There are literally tons of NDEs of people going to/experiencing hell, demons etc.
My interpretation of hell is not forgiving yourself for your bad deeds, but staying in remorse and shame on the other side.

Really appreciate you sharing this important part of your journey. I've learned that many NDE experiencers were open to the other side from early on, very interesting. It's all so crazy down here, and I find by sticking to the Golden Rule "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto you" works well as a foundation, plenty more to learn though. I do not love the neighbours that stalk me. I do not love their oppression nor do I love how they ruin my life on a daily basis, relentlessly. I do not forgive their premeditated malevolant actions towards me, that would go against my will to survive, that would go against my own life.
Good people suffer here because each and everyone one of us are here for a trial to be tested. Society has been taught that death is bad and scary, but I believe The more selfless, loving, caring you are, the quicker you’ll get to heaven. That’s what I’ve believed.

Excellent. You can do this. Important way to think about it: I might drink next weekend. I don't know. It's not next weekend yet. I don't have to worry about it. I won't drink today. It's only one day at time. Soon that one day becomes 4 days, then a week, then a month, then months, then years and decades. I'm sober 36 years now, just one day at a time. And I surround myself with other sober people. Zoom meetings are wonderful, and they are available anonymously, 24 hours a day. Keep coming back. It works, if you work it. Bless you Sean.

I believe bad things happen to good people because its soul lessons our soul needs to learn to ascend to higher dimensions/heaven. Kinda like "earning your angel wings". And yes learning love and unconditional love is a huge life lesson ❤️

Why are such important things held from us, this world is one big, sick, cruel game.
At this point, I have been traumatized so much by life that I have come to feel that pain and loss and hardship are opportunities to level up. So I've become grateful for them, as weird as it sounds. Maybe I just have existential Stockholm syndrome. I have to find a way to endure, somehow.

You are right. Edgar Cayce also said Christ was Adam in his first lifetime, as Christ said I am the Alpha and Omega. The first and last. We all go through the same thing as Christ, we reincarnate to get better in each lifetime to learn love and all the virtues of life.
