Yeah, I think it is because this is a "searchable keyword" rather than a "trending keyword", that's why it is not getting mucb views.
I second that. There's a channel called White Board Doctor that was getting double digit views a couple of months ago, but he just kept publishing daily and making his videos more slick. Now all his videos, even many of his old ones, are in the thousands.

Thanks Jack for the great comparison. You can remove the header and footer of any page under the Page Settings.
I just got a reply from the support, the settings was hidden on the top right corner, right beside the publish button. Haha! Great that all these little things were being considered in the theme.

Good Video! LOL for Beginners it's a no brainer the 5% speed on loading is offset by the 20% saving on the building. So as a beginner building a basic site I think Kadence is the answer, rather than get down multiple rabbit holes for weeks. Did you TIME YOUR build time, that would be interesting (Load time + Build Time). What is shocking to me we are 30 years with the internet...and fooking around with code is at least 20 years old. Off to watch Blocksy v. Kadence. Everything should be buttons and wheels and even voice-activated BY now.

I don't use GP too much, but I don't know why but I still love it. Very strange. Maybe it's more a community business then a proper business, maybe it's the first proper theme I used in a past. There's something about it. It's always in the trend, but silently.
Magic! I don't use GP too often as well but something about them, I just love it!
In my opinion, even if you don't understand a single line of code you will not need to change design or add loads of elements in the future daily. Configure the design once and leave it alone (set it and forget it). No doubt- I would go for the fastest option possible. Let's be honest, if you want a super-fast loading website, then you need to sacrifice a little bit of design and struggle with coding. Yet both of your examples are super good.

Actually, I missed the New Year offer for Generatepress theme, is there any coupon code or something? I think they don't support that. IDK. But still asking!
Sorry man, they used to have discount codes, but they don't support it anymore. If there is a discount, it will be applied automatically during checkout. That's the direction they are going with now. I've tried searching for discount codes for you on those discount sites, but they don't work anymore. So, I would recommend that you just get the theme now, if you have plans for it. Their renewal plan has a 30% discount, I believe.

Jack, you have a lot of helpful videos. I don't see you including Genesis themes in your tests. Do you know how Genesis relates to Generate Press regarding speed? Any other thoughts pro or con about Genesis? Genesis appears to me to be comparable to Genarate Press as far as difficulty goes. Your thoughts would be really appreciated. I don't understand why they make you search for code foe simple things when they could have done a single search and had it ready to use for everybody. I'm new to websites but if they wanted to keep the code lean couldn't they allow you to delete/deactivate all unnecessary or unused blocks or search a cooperative database outside that's online but specifically designed to interact with generate press?

Personally, I recently set up Vultr HF VPS with Plesk. So far so good! Blazing fast. One-click installs. The WordPress Toolkit that’s one there has been terrific.
Just be sure you take lots of backups and snapshots. Just to be extra safe as you’ll be your own server manager. IdeaSpot has a great video about the Vultr/Plesk setup.

Kadance or Blocksy, what would you suggest for an Bed and breakfast?
I think at the time of recording this video it might not have been available, but with the GP elements you can create global customized headers easily with the block editor. Editing in CSS isn't necessary anymore. I know you don't maintain your channel anymore (which is a pity since I don't follow the other one you're at now) but both of these themes have been updated and upgraded considerably since you recorded this so the information is out of date and not very accurate anymore. Maybe someday you can come back and update these comparison. You really do great comparison videos, but the challenge is that they go out of date within a year. =( Thanks!

what is your favorite hosting?
Discovering it soon. I've only used Siteground and WPX hosting. My plans for those hosting is going to end soon. So, I will soon be doing reviews on different hosting trying to find the best hosting for me. I heard cloudways is good.

Great comparison of GeneratePress (GP) & Kadence themes -- and your recommendations for their usage. The speed comparisons were especially helpful.
One aspect that I didn't see mentioned in your comparison is the starter site/template libraries. GP has a larger number of starter templates than Kadence. On the otherhand, the few starter templates in the Kadence library are more modern in design and more feature rich. I really like GP because of the speed and the ability to add my own custom code. But .. in terms of time and effort to build a WP website, the free versions of Kadence theme and Kadence Blocks have more than a slight edge over GP.
Oh yes, that's true! Personally, I don't use templates, maybe that's why I never thought of mentioning that. Thanks for your input!
GeneratePress is light years ahead of Kadence. I have pro versions of both and GP wins every time - hands down!

When your membership runs out what happens to your site?
It runs the same for a while. You will need to update the theme as Wordpress updates, otherwise your site might face security issues. But generally, your site will function normally for quite a while after your membership expires.
Not a good idea to add social icons in the header. Users will come to the site click on a social icon and get lost 8n social media... Rather put it in the footer...
I think it should be clearly stated are we comparing free or premium. Generatepress free version is basically useless, you cannot even edit footer without coding directly in php.
Kadence is very unstable ... don't forget to tell people that too
