    What amazes me is the places built that had sewers, yet it wasn't till Rome came along that Europe had sewers and Britain had no sewers The Mesopotamians introduced the world to clay sewer pipes around 4000 BCE, with the earliest examples found in the Temple of Bel at Nippur and at Eshnunna. Clay pipes were later used in the Hittite city of Hattusa. It is estimated that the first sewers of ancient Rome were built between 800 and 735 BC. Britain around 1500 AD, but nothing of any note till the mid 19th century. It is funny how some Tech gets lost in time and reappears later.

      Just like Zoroastrianism influenced Judaism and Christianity, Indus valley religion inspired modern Hinduism. But since Hinduism is basically Paganism practiced in South Asia, I like to say that they were ancient Hindus. Just like the Roman gods were called different than the earlier Greek gods but they both had similar variations. But, you should also understand that modern Hinduism was organized much later in the Ganges regions, not the Indus.

    • @MsSandhu9
      @MsSandhu9 Před 6 lety +17

      Zi Vedic Hinduism developed as synergy of the regional Indus belief system and religious beliefs and practices of Aryans migrating to north west India. The Aryan belief system was related to ancient Zoroastrianism, from ancient Persia where the Aryans migrated from. The synergy of the two belief systems also suggest that it was not Aryan invasion but rather migrations resulting in intermixing of people and cultures.

      They were advanced in plenty of things
      And the fact that there's not much known about the Indus valley civilization clouds the judgement as well.
      Indus valley civilization was spread on a much larger area, more than Egypt and Mesopotamia combined. Obviously they had a larger population too.
      They excelled in trade and their products were bought by a lot of people, including Mesopotamia and Egypt.
      They invented the standard weights and other measurements as well, almost as like we have today
      They had invented tiles, like we have today in our modern homes.
      The city layout was good enough and matched the standards of 18th century semi modern elite standards of Europe, that too without any industrial revolution.
      I doubt Egypt had such city planning or Mesopotamia in that regard.

      This evidence was failed in 2017 as only the regions near Rakhigarhi and Kalibangar had shown the flooding symptoms not the Mohenjodaro, Harappa and Dholavira areas.
