I really appreciate the real world, non-technical reviews. So many CZcamsrs shoot that lens test chart and then maybe if we're lucky we get a couple of uninteresting snapshots of a brick wall or a pillow or something like that lol. It's nice to see someone actually give good photo samples that are practical.
Thank you! I always feel like I should at least try these lenses out in the scenarios I would shoot them in before talking about them. I appreciate you watching and commenting! It's always great to get feedback.
Finally. A correctly written title. "X-mount lens" instead of "Fuji lens" like lots of reviews I've seen lately about lenses not made BY Fuji but made FOR Fuji.
Thanks! I try to remember details like that so I'm clear with the viewers but I do forget sometimes. Thanks for recognizing and appreciated.
Looks like it's a really nice black and white lens! Thanks for sharing your images you shot with the lens. That's so much more meaningful than brick walls for most applications.
Hey Charlie, it's definitely a great black and white lens. Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. Much appreciated.
Been using this lens on my xpro2 and I really enjoy the manual focus experience. Haven’t used my Fuji 23f2 or 23f1.4 in a long time. Sometimes the flaring is annoying but overall this lens is just fantastic as a daily walk around lens. Very happy with the image quality for that purpose.
I totally agree. It's a great walk around lens. Thanks for watching!
The samples look great! Another interesting looking lens.
Thanks Mark! It's a pretty good value lens. A fantastic starter lens or walk around lens.
Thank you, I am considering this.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting! I hope it works out if you do try it.
What you say about a lens being fun to use is, I find, very true. I've had quite a selection of lenses pass through my hands in the past couple of years and, at this point, I seem to have settled on the Meike 28mm F2.8 and the Meike 35mm F1.4 as the "go to" lenses on my X-E1 and X-E2. Other lenses I've had were certainly technically better e.g. Fuji 27mm, but I just didn't enjoy using them as much.....
Yes, exactly. Sometimes it takes a little experimenting to find these lenses that fit your personal style. I still need to try the Meike lenses. I'll have to do that soon. Thanks for watching! I always appreciate your support.
I love the images from the 25mm f/2. It's been great for street shooting. I got mine for $59 (including tax). The other great TT lens for street is the 17mm f/1.4.
Hey! That's awesome! I need to give the 17mm f1.4 a try. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank you for the review. Does focus stop right at infinity?
great photos and great review ı've been confusing for choosing the ttartisan 25mm f2.0 or ttartisan 27mm 2.8 which one do you recommend ?
Thanks for that Craig, as they might say in some Northern parts of England, "It's a bit of daft". A fun lens with quirks, great for street, zone focus
Yes! That's exactly right. Thanks for watching!
wow you caught the trees in las vegas on the strip before they were mowed down for f1 ~
Fantastic job but how do you know when you’re in focus
Small, cheap, it will fits good enough on my xe2. It is exactly what i was looking for. Speaking image quality, i believe deeply that mud can give good painting and oil paint some bad.
Absolutely! Well put. Thanks for watching and for the great comment!
The reason I bought this lens for my a6400, it is shorter than 7artisan at the same price. Aperture is clicky and nice to have, metal body.
t´s a fine experience to use so good as TTArtisan 23mmf1.4
To be honest I enjoy using this more than the 23mm f1.4. Thanks for watching and commenting!
nice review, i am buying.
Nice! I hope it works out well! Thanks for watching!
I got this lens for my wife's x-t10. Not a bad lens for such an inexpensive price.
Hey Norman! That's a great combo! Thanks for watching!
Great cheap lens - Love it, - works great on my Olympus and Panasonic 4/3 cameras. Bought mine at B&H photo for $55
It's a crazy good deal for a solid lens. I hope they make more like it. Thanks for watching!
Hi Thank you for a presise connsructive review of this lens. I will seriously look at purchasing thia X mount lens to add to mt XT20 Phil 🦊uk
will it fit the X A7? I am trying to find one for this camera? Your pictures were great I want this lens but for the X A7
Hey Skeeter! Yep it should work great on the X-A7. Let me know if you give it a try. Thanks for watching!
@@CraigBergonzoni thanks for answering I will try it
I'm wondering if I got a bad copy of this lens. I'm looking at the comments and no one has said they can't focus it. I have other manual focus lenses and they are really easy to focus - especially my TTartisan 50mm 1.2. I find it nearly impossible to focus, even on a tripod, focusing on a static object and the Peaking is really hard to see. Has anyone else had this issue? I recently replaced it with a Viltrox 23mm 1.4. I only got the 25mm F2 for video.
It's definitely possible it's a bad copy. I haven't had any issues with mine. But I've had that problem with other lenses.
@@CraigBergonzoni Cheers - I probably won't get another one (Unless I can get the shop to give me another copy) because I got a Viltrox 23 1.4, to cover that focal length. Thanks heaps for the reply :)
Do you prefer the 25mm or the 35/1.4?
I'm partial to the 35mm 1.4 overall but the 25mm might become one of my main street photography lens especially when I know I'm going to be capturing people in crowds or walking on the sidewalks close to me.
Would you recommend 25mm f2 or 23mm f1.4?
Sorry for the late response on your messages. I recommend this lens over the 23mm. This is lens more compact, easier to focus for me, and the image quality is on solid. You give up a stop or light but this lens is a joy to use.
This lens let's you slow way down and enjoy photography again! My 2cents.
Do you still like the lens
I do! Still have it and use it.
great but morally and practically buying ccp, chinese communist products is a really bad idea. i would a lot more to avoid them
Thanks for your input and thanks for watching.
