I seriously don't understand why the US government is spending millions of dollars on illegal immigrants and benefits and bringing in more refugees from other countries when there are so many homeless Americans living rough on the streets. So messed up. I m ex military, and it breaks my heart to see a homeless veteran living on the streets not only in America but other countries as well. Just not right.

so many familiar faces and the all are such nice folk, just hit a rough patch in life and didn't know what else to do, but as you can see almost every one of the homeless stated how blessed they were even when they have nothing

Wouldn't It be nice If all of the ultra rich people In the world would just take some of their money, and help the poor, the homeless, the hungry, and the sick! Get them off the streets, feed them, and get them jobs.

Problem is, property is investment for riches, rather than for housing and sanitization facilities for everyone living here. The greed of man is insatiable, make no mistake about that... Which includes ones self. It takes a conscious effort to not keep up with the Joneses, but share your wealth with others less fortunate.

fayetteville sucks, almost died there, about the same as El paso just not a dry heat. Military town, strip clubs and pawn shops, and a lot of poverty. I was employed out of Raleigh and still had to leave from 20% plus unemployment. wake up folks this country is in big trouble.
If we really think about it. We are all a paycheck away from being homeless. Life happens some can over come some struggle.

There are all types of reasons as to why people end up homeless and I need not render judgement upon them.To exert attitudes of indifference and intolerance upon these people is unwarranted.Treat them with kindness as there is no need to be nasty against those who suffer from mental disorders.Give if able to even if it's only a smile !!

Unfortunately there are many more homeless now in 2017. But glad their numbers were down in 2015. Puzzling, though.

Fayetteville has some of the worst areas in NC, it has a reputation.
If you gave them a place to live, would it help? I would like to see that experiment. What would they do with an opportunity to better themselves?
Better living conditions in Fayetteville? Does not look better.
Churches should just give....no requirements from those in need. No strings.

I find it disgusting that in this day and age that anybody should be homeless..exept those that choose to be...we have enough recources to be able to feed clothe and home all these people and more besides....so many empty houses ..that with a little fixing up that could be made livable...a lot of these people have skills,and can get nowhere thanks to the greedy people at the top...money talks in this day and age..how much is enough?..give a little and get your reward..soldiers who fought for there country,women ,children and able men with hearts helping each other and the goverment doing sod all...its disgusting and breaks my heart,i have a spare bedroom and i have just offered an agency the bedroom for a homeless person...you know what....they could not have cared less...they too make me sick..just intrested in a donation.
the bad part of this is you did 36 hours of acting homeless , their is a difference you know after 36 hours you have a home to go to ,when on the streets there is no hope nor any where to turn ,it's sad that we live in one of the richest country's and yet we have lost people
Realtors are to blame for homelessness.They should have to have degrees with ethics laws and should not be able to sell homes to investors instead of homebuyers and should not be able to set rents or home values.

for about 7 bucks you can buy pipe tobacco and rolling tubes unlike the 5 bucks per pack that is about a cartons worth if you don't share

allways some wanker that has something to say about the smoking or the drinking , cant they do what they want. if they did not smoke or drink is that going to get them a roof over there head ? cant they have some pleasures in life as well ? what they think is a pleasure anyway .
Do you see the smirky look on the face of the public servant at the end of the video? Yes, you do. That's disgusting. If you can't tell what emotion is going on in the person according to the look on their face, you may be a little slow. When people are caught being crooked in a place of authority, they should probably be executed for the good of the majority. I wonder if that could ever be legislated. Someone actually being executed for a crime that affects thousands of people. Just wondering.
And things are no better now. It is a poor city with a lot of people one paycheck or illness away from being homeless, The VA could do better by the homeless veterans and the city could do better by the homeless instead of their out of sight out of mind attitude.

Places donate clothes all the time and sometimes you end up with high end designer clothes , after all that is said and done it’s funny you emphasize on a north face logo. Smdh America we need to learn The Way.
I'm a hiker and camper. I have good quality lightweight expensive stuff that would be very useful for me sleeping, cooking, keeping warm. Do you actually think I would sell that stuff, while it could make my life so much easier and more comfortable? If I would sell it I'd probably get a small % for it and when that money's gone then what? You're not very smart are you?
