- Before we bought our Peugeot Boxer and decided to convert it into a luxurious off-grid van, we had no idea what to expect in terms of how much it would cost. We heard all kinds of amounts, from a few hundred dollars, to tens of thousands of euros, so we decided to do a full cost breakdown for everyone who's looking into doing a luxury van conversion.

Whether you're doing a conversion of a Ram Promaster, a Mercedes Sprinter or a Fiat Ducato, you'll pretty much need the same items we had to buy for our own van build.

Expensive; yes. Worth it? I’m sure. Inspiring? Absolutely. I love it and you guys are the cutest couple it’s my favorite van build and I have seen very many of them.

Realistically tho, you will probably be saving by not having to rent a hotel and stuff. Nicely done and I love the build out. Beautiful, clean and classy style.

I was thinking the same thing! It’s really buying a home and a mode of transportation, great investment also they could sell this for way more than they spent on it if they ever want to, or keep it if they eventually buy a home and use it for weekend or week or month long trips or even longer

Hi from Australia. That van is worth every dollar/penny /euro. You are going to be travelling and imagine what accommodation would cost. I love the wall behind seats but am really curious how if needed you would fit thru the escape hatch. PS love the fittings used and the rattan on the cupboards. Such a boho beach vibe.

How do you handle laundry? Do you prefer laundromats or rivers or at a family member’s place? I am trying to figure that part out- I have even looked at the portable ones, maybe to do outside and then hang dry? Just wondering, tia!

I'm curious about the water tanks - for approximately how long can you use yours before it needs to filled/emptied? And also, is it hard to find a special spot to empty the greywater tank (if you use chemicals for dishwashing/ showering)? Or you simply use eco-friendly soap that doesn't harm the soil and vegetation where you empty?
Thank you, so sweet 🥰. For the water, we generally do 3-4 days with it. Depending on how many times we shower and if we eat out a lot or not. Finding spots to empty the grey water has been super easy here in the South of Europe. Almost every big gas station has a dumping station for grey water! 🙌🏻

If u hang the curtains higher at the top of the ceiling it will make the window look bigger and the van taller.
what made you go the van conversion route instead of a tiny home on wheels or ready to go motorhome?

My van has the same window setup. The one problem I have is that there is not enough ventilation above the bed. I am thinking about getting those Dometic back door windows, but those are €€€€
Do you have a skylight above the bed as well? Yes, Dometic windows in general are so expensive! 🥲
You said you had over the sink I think it is an escape into the front of the van ,why??
Zeer mooie van build. Maar u laat zich ook vangen door te zeggen 3000 watt inverter. Deze victron multiplus 12 / 3000 / 120 230 v is geen 3000 watt maar 3000 VA = 2400 watt . Is iets waar veeleisende zich aan laten vangen. Voor jullie elektrische toestellen geen probleem , maar als je bv airfryer van 2200 watt zou willen gebruiken, dan valt deze uit..

I think that the mattress should be good and maybe pay a little more for it because you have to sleep on it and if it's nit comfortable believe me it's not good!!
