    Ok a bit confused how do I get 2 boards the same thickness with this thing I see now Stop? if I got 10 boards I got to shave them all one after the other on both sides to get 10 the same thickness? until none of them produce chips?

    Thanks for sharing the video. It helped me get a bit further in my decision to buy the DH-40. I was wondering if this planer ever produces any 'snipe' on the ends, like most larger machines produce?

      Thank you for your comment. I am not quite sure what "snipe" means but I am satisfied with the work the planer does and many of my projects would not have been possible without it but I think the price is too high.

      @@Harris-DIY snipe is when a board is first fed into the planer and it doesn't go in perfectly level, so the end of the board lifts into the blade thinning it out more than the rest of the board once it levels out on the planer bed.

    Hello, what do you think is a practical maximum length that can be planed? Would 1m be too long for this small machine? Thanks

      Interesting question that I can not just answer as it depends on the types of wood and the dimensions. The longest pieces I have planed are 2 x 3 x 85-90 cm, it handled it fine but if it is hard and heavy wood with dimensions close to the maximum 4 x 8 cm I would think that the limit goes at 30-40 cm and then very little has to be planed at a time. If you want to plan a piece of 1 m, be aware that it must be able to keep itself completely horizontal when it is pulled through the machine.

    Guten Abend, ist es möglich sehr dünne Leisten zu hobeln (3mm) ohne das das Holz zerfranzt?.

    • @Harris-DIY
      @Harris-DIY  Před 3 lety

      Ja, 3 mm Dicke sind kein Problem. Es kann bis zu einer Dicke von 1,6 mm gehobelt werden, jedoch können 3 x 3 mm ein Problem mit dem Vorschub darstellen. Ich habe selbst noch nicht so dünne Listen ausprobiert, werde es aber versuchen.

      wrep wro Ich könnte 2 große für den Preis des kleinen Proxxon kaufen, aber ich habe keinen Platz für einen großen. Wenn ich Platz hätte, würde ich einen großen kaufen.
