All of us now in our 40s know this song word for word. We been singing it over and over for YEARS 😂
I miss these days of hip hop !!!!! 😫😫😫
Exactly
Facts😊💯
Lmfao AINT THAT THE TRUTH!!!
And the sad part is that you know that’s emilio estevez saying the words from young guns, quite sad 😔
I feel so old. Those kids never heard of Warren G and Nate Dogg?
I'm surprised sometimes, but glad they're exploring lots of different music
@lion x warrior That's right!! Because we all know that the only music that is significant is what is current or recent!! Once again, much music is TIMELESS!! True treasures and jewels are not meant to stay in the crate!!
Weren't they in the Dogg pound?
No Nate and WarrenG was not part of the Dogg pound Group.
And they got a Pac poster?
I'm a 37yr old Irish woman and this song is my party piece, I rap it word for word from start to finish 😂 my fave tune of all time ❤ RIP Nate Dogg!
I would love to hear this with an Irish accent :)
Nate was the man! Killed me when he died. It wasn’t the same
THAT'S a video I'd love to see!

“Above the rim” is the movie

the beginning of the song is from the movie young guns though
@@Splitt100 the backing track for this is the song “I Keep Forgetting (Were Not In Love Anymore)” by Michael McDonald
No it's white men can't jump lmao!!! That had me cringing when they legit mistook Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson for Tupac

One of the best!!
Facts for the Twins: Movie - Above the Rim, Warren G is Dr. Dre step brother, genre - G funk #RIPNateDogg
My parents bought me the Above the Rim soundtrack as a birthday gift when I was maybe 12 years old. The only reason it worked out for me is because the clerk at the Sam Goody store put the price sticker over the Parental Advisory tag. Otherwise my mom never would have gone for that.
And Nate Dogg was cousins with Snoop.
Yes #RIPNateDog he use to be on everyone’s album. Miss the old rap days.
Above the Rim soundtrack is one of the best soundtracks ever. So damn good. "Big Pimpin'" by Tha Dogg Pound is still on my workout playlist.
@@ericamusso7555 And Snoop's cousins are Brandy and Ray J.
The one and only Nate Dogg. Voice recognizable on any jam. He def regulates that tune.
That’s Nate......SMOOTH
I'm glad that these young men understand the difference between real hip hop and what they have now
they heard this shit before.... its fake shock entertainment man.....
They should check out 80s stuff. Ll Cool J, Beastie Boys, Digital Underground ect
"Real" hip hop had a lot of sampling of other peoples' work but yeah, still good
You know Dre sampled 70s Micheal MacDonald for this jawn, right?
G funk was the tip top all time.
If you ever need to find all the GenXers in a crowd, just yell "Regulators" and see who responds with "Mount up!"
I feel personally called out by this comment 😂😂
I feel attacked! 😂
I'm a 38 year old woman and been known to do this on kareoke 🤣
Not a lie though.
This is hilarious! Sho you right!
And the song "keep forgettin" by Michael Mcdonald is the sample used throughout this song, also a great tune!
They already reacted to it a month ago broski
the original is best
I'm surprised that they didn't catch that this sampled that. They just reacted to it not long ago.
Every time my husband plays Keep Forgetting I instantly ask him to play this and then the 90s r&b gets played. 😂

I met these 2 in college at a show, and Warren G is the coolest, SMARTEST cat you're ever going to meet. Thanks for the memories on this banger! 💗
I saw Eminem twice in England 2017/18 and at both shows eminem got the crowd to shout nate doggs name. Nate is a hip-hop LEGEND R.I.P
I know you guys are young, but the thing I like about what you are doing is bringing people together over music. We need this as a people. Music and food are the best things that bring people together.
Guys, y’all made me come back! Lol! Nates expression was his voice. What Nate was doing is called a “Hook”!
“ He’s got no facial expressions “ 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭🤣 I’ve seen this video so many times and never noticed! Too funny 😄
Same here! 🤣🤣
@Aaliyah Muhammad for real!! I was thinking that as I watched their reaction to his emotionless face 🤣
That was always funny to me 😂
I never noticed that either! 🤣

You just discovered the smooth crooner voice of Nate Dogg, the Frank Sinatra of hip hop.

Great to see this generation keeping this music going, everyone had the G Funk Era album bumping in their car and on their discman in high school lol.
That melody and groove was created by a white R&B artist named Michael McDonald, Mr. Blue Eyed Soul....and Nate Dogg passed away some years ago, but his rep on the street, from what I read, was he could throw them hands and was always ready to get down with whoever, he really didn't give a damn....
The reason why nate dogg never had a face expression because he was always high 🤣🤣

Hahaha
I love how they are giddy over the fact that the verses have an actual plot and that the rappers actually told stories in the songs...
Thats cause this shit today is scrambled letters or repeating the same trash in different ways.
Everything sung /rapped back in the day told a story... Unlike today where there's no common sense in any of it...no meaning, no intelligible words, nothing.
This music has too many words for todays youth. Its called "dumbing down".
@@charlesmassey7763 Screaming like Fisticuff🤣

Above the Rim is the movie...
And the person speaking in the intro is Charlie from the movie "Young Guns" and they called theirselves REGULATORS
Yep, back in the day Rap was like poetry the way it flowed, glad to see a few current artists are trying to bring that upstyle back.
I listen to this when I'm getting ready to collect past due invoices at work. It makes me feel like I'm a gangster regulator - Pay Up! LOL

As a history/trivia note, Warren G was the artist that caused Dr. Dre to decide to break away from the infamous Death Row Records, that was run by the infamous Suge Knight. The story goes, Suge Knight assaulted Warren G, supposedly slapped him. Suge Knight was known to do violent stuff like that , in that, Dre said Suge Knight also pistol whipped an engineer for rewinding a tape too far.
Anyway, Dr. Dre said after Suge assaulted Warren G., and after the pistol whipping incident of the engineer in the studio, Dre had to get the hell out of Death Row, and thus came Dre's Aftermath label , where he started doing his own thing and working with Snoop, Eminem, Ice Cube, 50 Cent and the rest. Nate Dogg has passed away, he died of a stroke/heart condition I think, but you can hear Nate singing in many of the old school West Coast tracks (pull up Snoop's "Lay Low" for an example, that's Nate in the white hat czcams.com/video/he_XA7pNQHA/video.html ).
Nate Dogg was never a great artist on his own, but always singing on West Coast Raps with Dre, Snoop, Cube, and all the others, he was a "must have" for the famous artists mentioned above who needed that smooth but macho singing voice that worked so well in those West Coast rap songs. That was also Nate Dogg on "21 Questions" with 50 Cent and, Nate Dogg on "Shake That" with Emenim, and the ultimate tribute from Ice Cube, in the lyrics of his song "Gangsta Nation", with his group West Side Connection....
"BETTER GET UP ON IT......CAUSE IT MUST BE A SINGLE, WITH NATE DOGG SINGING ON IT" -Ice Cube.
love the history
@@stephisteti Cant believe I'm talking about this stuff like its ancient history, but 1994 was over 25 years ago LOL!!! Nonetheless, the Twins page is the only Social Media page I can comment on without the fear of getting into any hostility to toxicity with people who are obsessed with political and social craziness. So much fun and such a detox from the 2020 craziness to just rap to people about music.....
@@dxwallace55 Kid you not. This year has just been one for the trash can. The twins here have been about the biggest highlight in my days as a distraction from the circus out there. @@ParanormalVeteran Truth brotha!! Yeah this is such a cool channel especially for me, a cat who grew up on R&B/Soul, but also got up into Rock and other stuff because MTV came out when I was in college, so its much fun commenting with people on all the the music genres I got into.
For example I play a little guitar and spent the last week having some good conversations after the twins posted Van Halen's "Jump", after Eddie Van Halen died. So much fun getting to chat with all the guitar lovers, amazing how all these genres influenced my "youth", and so much fun looking back, (Nate Dogg was "my boy", and at the same time, David Lee Roth swinging on that cable in that video "Panama" was Crazy!!!)
