- Star Stuff Full Demo - a charming and promising puzzle game demo. It's simple so far, only took me 20 minutes to beat, but a ton of potential. If it gets actually difficult later on, it will be great.

One of the most common comments I get on puzzle game videos is that people have troubles following along, so we tried using a ton of arrows to show my thought process (before I figured out to refer to locations by their letter). Helpful? Unhelpful? Annoying? Distracting? Would be great if there were half as many? Let me know your thoughts.
I find the arrows helpful, but I don't plan on playing these games myself; That's unless I'm really intrigued with it...
Thanks for this video!!!!

Definitely helpful, thanks!
i appreciate it for sure! much easier to follow along :)
I dont see it getting mentioned though, but the editing on the videos has gotten soo much better. I've been watching for about a year and the editing for these videos is way better than before.
Right? I love the bits they do whenever he says “Tyler here”. Shits gets me every time.
the editing is more fun and almost "childish", which is cool as a gimmick for a few videos, but I think it could really easily get saturaded and the old editing was just perfect, the rhythm was always smooth and I almost didn't even realize it was edited, because it was so natural
I think because he brought on a second editor there's less pressure on them individually to put out content so they're able to have more fun with it which I've really been enjoying.
@@aaroncappra6696 I know it's not for everyone, but I think I like the new style personally. It's more fun.
Personally don't need it, but for younger audience i think it's good
I think this is one of the first grid based puzzle games I’ve seen where you aren’t restricted to grid based movement
Neat idea to have programmable bots in a puzzle game. Sort of bringing the coop type of puzzles into a singleplayer game
Thanks for playing! We've got some tricksy new levels coming your way. :)
When is it coming out
I‘m really impressed by how close Ben‘s and Dan‘s editing styles are. I couldn‘t tell who edited it without looking in the description.
I'm glad this is only a demo, for one simple reason: I always feel conflicted about watching you watch puzzle games. On the one hand, if you play them, then I can't play them without having spoilers for a lot of the puzzles! On the other hand, if I play them before watching, then I get frustrated when you can't figure things out that I already know. I just wish I had a good solution - obviously the solution isn't to just not watch you play puzzle games, because I like watching you play puzzle games! At least in this case, I can wait for the game to fully release, then play it myself, without worrying too much about spoilers.
Not just a game about programming, but a game about people working alongside programs, nice!
This strangely reminds me of the clank puzzle sections from ratchet and clank: a crack in time. It's a shame no one ever took that concept and turned it into a game of its own, one of the most unique puzzles I've seen!
I saw how short it was, got halfway through and wished it was a 30 min video lol. Great game, can't wait to see more of it
I got to play this game early on during development and I had a blast with it!
you see it's puzzle games like this that can get kids interested into programming. We need millions of programmers in our super advanced future. The more the merrier.
until ais become better programmers than people, that is
@@terdragontra8900 won't happen any time soon, if AI takes over programming and development, then we won't need jobs as everything else will be automated almost instantly lol
@@terdragontra8900 well of course the biggest mistake in humanity will be when we tell an AI to program an AI that we intend on giving the power to kill
I can’t wait to see this game in full. It looks super polished so I’d bet the level quality will be similar!
Oh! What a charming looking game! And with coding!
For the more finished games consider 7 Billion Humans and Human Resource Machine (they're both from the same game dev/company).
@@paulstelian97 they are the creators of World of Goo right?
The arrows were a very good idea! Definitely helped give a much better visual representation of your thought process, please keep the arrows
Very charming game imho. Also I hope the buzzles get much more clever
3:01 I love the facecam also shaking. Some pretty good editing right there,
I see you, Aliensrock's editor. Adding the Wilhelm at 6:51.
there's a classic Flash puzzle game called Unstable that I think you would really enjoy - you can play it though BlueMaxima's Flashpoint project
Ok, the "Hey guys Tyler here" got me off guard, editor, you are by far the best I've seen this year, congratulations.
i really liked the little arrows and ghost blocks in the editing of this video, also the little jokes with your face were alyo really nice :)
Loved the editing on this one, definitely feel like having 2 editors is justified.
I dont think arrows were needed for this one but if you end up using arrows maybe have them linger. I felt they disappeared too quickly. The only time I need arrows are for recursive minesweeper and sudoku cubed lol
the editing in this video is on point, good work :3
I might get this game
slick moves by the editor showing the move path at 8:50
Excited to see more!!
Great editing and a cool game!
The thumnails from squishcraft are slowly making their way into other videos.
holy shit the editing on this one was exeptionally great
personally, i find when you pause and explain what you want to do and how to do it before you do it to be more helpful than arrows. the arrows are helpful when you are speaking with vague terms, like "go there, go here, this, that", etc. great video btw!!
I loved the arrows but I think the underlying issue might just be my own inability to understand- no amount of arrows or explanations will allow me to understand 4D minesweeper, won’t stop me from watching and being in wonder though!
I believe in you to understand eventually
never give up, soldier
very nice edits. making it easier to see the moves. thank u
Looks like a super cool game 👍
Looks fun
Can't wait to see more of this!
I thought the transparent boxes are the in-game preview, which means you're doing a great job demonstrating logic that it feels authentic!
Other editing bits only marginally increase the entertainment value.
Slick move by the editor to add in the additional 5th command while the game is playing at 9:19
Wow it was so seamless I didn't notice
the Wilheim scream got me lmao
Loving these edits ngl
Because of aphantasia, the visually showing explanations is super helpful!
TYLER IS E V E R Y W H E R E
Yay! now there are puzzles i can solve!
Reminds me of Human Resource Machine and 7 Billion Humans
Wow, the hub reminds me of console game hubs. Love it
I would love to see you do Mine of Sight, an old minesweeper game available on mobile that involves 0 guessing, has a bunch of unique mechanics, and a bunch of levels.
how you play potioncraft makes me think you would have a lot of fun with scribblenauts

What is happening xD
If you like programming robots, might I suggest you try a game called Exception
I feel like this is the worst mechanic from the Talos Principle, but made good
Woah!
Hey Tyler, guys here
Day 743 of telling Tyler that he never finished his minecraft series and that he should finish it.
ACT went well today I feel
Day 703 of agreeing
Nice
Day 440
Ok
Hoshi means literally "star" in japanese
I love programming games! :D
i loved the editing on this video
Hi Tyler. Have you seen the new photo of the Pillars of Creation by the James Webb telescope?
Haven’t heard of this before
8:19 oh do you, now? I thought this was a beauty products channel, shucks.
Helpful!
You should try this puzzle game called machinka museum! Its an amazing mobile puzzle game
Mindustry series pls
Imagine not being early
Ikr
I couldn't imagine
Letsss go
That is a cute star❤😂😂
Kept waiting for a ramp up in difficulty, complexity, or mechanics, but it never came. I get that it's just a demo, but the mechanics as they are don't have enough substance to really entice me in the first place.
Tyler was WHERE??!?!?
Not FEZ but but still good
not my favorite game, but love the content
What happened to "papers please?"
Aw, 33 seconds, not even early
Day 1 of asking Tyler to finish Celeste
too many arrows. when it's not obvious it's ok, but there were just too many.
What happened to potion craft?
Oop
Damn I need a funny comment yet I can’t think of anything great first 10 seconds of the video btw 👍
