The fact that the Dark Continent has monsters that make Chimera Ants look like nothing is so insnae. I wish one day, if we lucky, we can get that animated

Though the high-pitched voice is a bit annoying/difficult to understand. and you talk a bit fast, so i had to really concentrate to keep up with what you were saying at times lol. but that might just be cuz i speak english as a 2nd language. anyways, great video. now i'm able to just skip the ant arc cuz that shit was boring af ngl, and i do not have the patience to finish it
Well the ants used the supreme leader to gather all the ppl because they wanted to build an army of ant/human hybrid nen-users. But the actual celebration was usually done as a celebration of the supreme leaders birthday (or something like that?) So that's why all the ppl were willing to gather, because it was a traditional occurence

The chimera sprung out of nowhere and I felt as quickly as Nen became a huge thing in the previous arcs, just as quickly it became redundant thanks to the OP ants. I know there was some hype scenes like Gons transformation and some other battles but honestly all the battles were one sided... I felt none of the ants struggled at all, besides Gon destroying his opponent, the minor ants were not so memorable either.
I agree with most of your points. I remember how PISSED I was how netero said neferpitou was stronger than him after being born like 2 days ago... I thought making the ants that strong for no reason was stupid. But this arc has one of my favorite conclusions to an arc ever.
@@_N2A_ The conclusion is nice however I felt it was placed into a forced position. The writer couldn't allow Muruem to stay alive or that would be chaos as it would be like placing Frieza in dragonball, even though the nuke was cool, again felt like an ass pull to get rid of Muruem but ofcourse he survived with the other two so we could get that ending. Gons transformation was awesome but honestly the recoil should have been far longer, felt like he's okay now... Also characters like Hisoka, Illumi and even Chrono I care less about now as I know they could never dream of getting as strong as Muruem, they feel redundant to me. The three true Villians of the show just became side enemies. Its just such a different show from the previous arcs.

I'm aware, in the show they clearly say the nuke produces a kind of poison that spreads and kills the survivors, so it wasn't cuz of radiation like a normal nuke would be 👍
Bro... "In other words, the poison isn't just lethal; it's also highly contagious" that's literally straight out of the wiki and they say poison like 100 times in the show. It's not like this is a real nuclear bomb.. it's an anime. Plus radiation doesn't spread in the same way the poison spread within the show.
That was a really good recap, I wish the pacing of the arc was as good as the pacing of your recap 😭
