You get the quarter for the buggy when you return the cart! And you only pay for bags if you don’t bring your own! Not too bad 🤷🏼♀️ Just takes some getting used to.
The quarter carts have been out since 1990 its to prevent car damage and stolen carts also ot takes Aldi cashier over an hour to fetch shopping carts because people were to lazy to put away try pushing all those carts on snow and ice I love the carts I'm tired of people slamming carts against my car love them how many carts do you see now none because people put their cart away to get their quarter back 😊
LOL you get the quarter back and you are not charged for grocery bags. And it's a quarter. If you do not have your own grocery bag you can buy paper, plastic or a reusable one. Many grocery stores in the US are going this direction. I don't know a grocery store that will give you reusable bags. Talk about being negative for no reason.
@missymarriott8726 I worked for aldis they got those carts in 1990 over 30 years ago we spent months trying to show people how to use them if you can read its posted above the cart rack you get the quarter back duh because people are too damn lazy to put the cart back and carts stolen and carts slammed into new cars its prevents damage therefore saving everyone money I love ot organized try pushing 10 to 20 carts on snow and ice storms we cashiers have to spend over an hour in thr parking lot at16 dollars an hour it cost the company time energy and money getting those carts I had six kids and still manage to put my cart away get off your lazy buts and put your cart away
