Thank you for that trip down memory lane. I'm sure you and the children had a great time but I soon became lost in my own memories. A roasty, beefy, stewy thing to eat, after thoroughly deep freezing yourself is exactly what we did as children for five months in the snowy Mitten state. We thought nothing of it and begged Mom to let us go outside every chance we had.
Being a lover of nature myself, I am so glad when you show the sky and the trees and through the wooded areas. Thank you!
Those two will now have a very special memory of a snow day with dad.
Remember the speed racer with real steel tracks and wood bench and the front you could pull the rope to steer? We used to grab candles and wax the blades. Such great memories
The blue sky and the old barns on the homestead with the snow made it magical with the animals! Awesome the children were able to enjoy it !!❤️
There is something so peaceful and settling about the woods covered in a good layer of snow when the wind isn't blowing and the moon is shining down. When that happens, I will sometimes stand outside my back door for a while just to soak up the quiet and peace and think about God's blessings in the moment. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your mountains, I loved it! 🙂🙂💕💕💕👍👍👍👍
Ah, that is all magical.
It is the main thing I love about snow, the total quiet, and the glow of the moon on it lighting everything up in a magical way. And the smell of the fresh snow is like nothing else. Those are the moments when you can hear God Speak. 💞
@Robin Rummel I Completely Agree!
@@gelwood99 Oh my goodness... I agree... I Adore those moments! ❤
I still have my sled from 1960. I love sledding!! Too old now..afraid of breaking a hip or something💚💚
Ain't it the truth. As my daughter reminded me not so long ago "Mom , you're not a spring chicken anymore ".
The kids sure had a good time sledding. Can't wait till we get a little more snow do i can sled down the small hill on my land. I'm a young 59 year old, but still live to get outdoors as much as possible
It is certain that homesteading children have a wonderful childhood. This is making them so strong in all ways. Apart from education this is the extra something that is unfortunately missing out from city children’s lives. It’s my feeling as I grew up in farms owned by my grandparents. But sadly my kids aren’t getting it . Love your homestead.
Art your an amazing Dad. It warms my heart how you take time to make memories with the kids. Bri rocks too. Hope all gets well soon.
So much fun sledding. The kids had a great time. I hope the child that is sick feels better real soon. The snow is beautiful. God Bless
This is probably going to be so random and off topic BUT, I have 5 girls, 3 of them and myself work in the medical field, I pray thanks to God above that you never got sick before you left. Thanks to God above none of us have been touched as of yet either. You and your beautiful family give me strength. Keep up the amazing work. Because growing a family like growing a homestead is work... But it is the most rewarding work you will ever know. You and Bri are amazing parents. Keep on keeping on. I will keep on praying for all of you..💯❤️
Loved watching the kids sledding. Brought back happy memories of my brothers, sister, and I. We're all in our 70's now but at least we have our memories. Also, love Justice's whistling.
What fun for the kids brought back memories of a big hill and all the kids from the block would fly down. Hope you little one feels better soon
Who needs Netflix....We could watch your videos all day long Art 😉 God Bless you Art and Bri
What a wonderful day! I got cold just watching, from under a quilt in my 65° house. LOL! Happy new year to you all!
Lol! I'm also cold, but under a blanket in a 70° house!
Kids and snow were made for each other. FUN, FUN, FUN ! ! ! God bless you. Pray your little one gets to feeling better.
I love when there is snow on ground and the bright moon. It seems you can see forever through the forest floor.
I miss home so much when I watch this. I was raised in that area. I often know exactly where you are, when you're out driving. So sweet that you took this time for the children to have a fun play day. Hope the sick child recovers quickly. Thanks for sharing.
I love the sound of the crows--they are my spirit animal. All summer they chase a hawk right outside our front window and then come winter they are gone from the area around where we live. I didn't know how much I missed their sound until your video. I pray the kids are feeling better soon. I love this wintry homestead video!
I forgot about your slip into the cold stream. Lol, it reminded me of my slip into our larger creek. I went thigh high into extremely cold water. My husband, standing close by looked at my surprised face. His remark, “ Are you ready to get out.” Yes please, I replied. He gave me his hand and we walked along the creek a little ways. “We better get you in and get your cold clothes off”. I was willing.
Thanks for the return of my memory. He has been gone nine years this March. I occasionally catch memories that are so special. This brought a slight tightening in my throat as a tear blurred my vision.
Really miss you folks! Sending more prayers.
So peaceful in the snow and the crunch of the snow under your feet. The laughter of children sledding makes me smile. I need to learn that smash up Bri put on roast. I have that seasoning and have never used it.
Watching your Kids Sledding brought back memories when I was a kid living in the Alps in Austria doing the same with my siblings.
ICH LIEBE DISH. My parents were born in BERLIN und BRAUNLAUGE. LOVED the country's skiing and views.
So much BEAUTY. CHOW. USA 🇩🇪
Happy to be locked down with Art and Bri.
Sometimes it is nice to just have family time
We are originally from the Midwest and moved to the Southwest in my mid 40's... I so miss looking at the beautiful visions of fall and winter. There is beauty and solitude in all of God's glorious creations. Thank you for sharing yours. I hope your kiddos are feeling better. God bless.
Snow is Absolutely Beautiful ☃️⛄️Children had a Blast Sledging 🛷
Wasn't feeling exactly right today. A pot of potato soup fixed me right up. When all else fails, home made soup!!!
I've lived in snowy areas, the deep silence is great. Your childrens happy sledding voices are fun too.
I check Bethlehems weather every Christmas.
How lovely that you fully indulged your children’s sledding 🤗
You need snow chains, Art!! ❄️🤔
I guess I won’t complain about our “cold” 55 degree Christmas. I’m glad if you guys enjoy the snow that you had a White Christmas.
I hope your little one feels better soon and the illness doesn’t run thru all the kids.
@Kelly Estes my internet has been shut down for many months. Finally was able to get it back up and running. I was wondering if you could help me. How many children do Art and Bri have now?
@@marylouise890 I believe they have 5 I watch numerous channels and sometimes get the kids mixed up, lol.
@@kellyestes5482 thank you 👍
It is beautiful there with all the snow cover.
And what great memories you are making with the kids.
I loved watching them sledding and singing lol.
Hope the other sickly one is better soon.
And hope it doesn't spread through the family.
Big hugs.
Funny how you have snow and we have none and I'm in eastern Maine!
How wonderful to live in such a beautiful place, so happy for you to have those amazing places to take your kids !!
I REALLY ENJOYED THE VIDEO. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. THERE IS BEAUTY IN EVERY SEASON. I LOVE YOU ALL. BE SAFE & GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
stewed onions and garlic for the chest in a cheese cloth,, to kick fevers and drink chicken broth soup...get better ,bless you all. take care.
Sorry you have a little one that is sick. Hope he's better soon. Great fun Art taking the kids sledding on that nice hill. Y'all have a Blessed day.
What fun..that’s how kids should be raised..hope the kids and u all don’t get whatever the other kid has..it’s breathtakingly beautiful there..a piece of heaven for sure...many blessings!!
I love the quiet that a winter storm brings.
Great video, thought I was there. Enjoy the snow, and be careful of the black ice.
I loved this video Art! Reminded me of winter growing up in Colorado! Now living on a WI farm, but unable to do snowy/icy things anymore due to a badly broken ankle in winter of 2018...leaving that to my grandchildren now...you are a remarkable father and your children so lucky to have you and Bri as their parents!
Hope everyone gets healthy soon!
Beautiful scenery. Love your videos and farm life.!!👍❄️☃️
Have you ever watched Cog Hill Farm? He has hundreds of chickens, ducks and geese. When he feeds his flock, he throws a long arch of feed so they aren’t all scrunched up close up together.
Awesome Snowman skills! Sorry to hear that the little one is sick :( Not fun at all with sick little ones especially at the holidays. Feel better soon! Kids look like they had a blast the snow was right on time!
In Davenport Iowa we got 9 inches of snow and then ice on top of that last night. (12/30/2020) This grandma didn’t go outdoors at all today. Wish I could go sledding like your children, it looked like fun.
Jewell Iowa here, we've got lots up here as well
Orion Il here,
Sioux City Iowa. Only 4 here
WC Iowa 8/9 inches here, thank goodness we missed the ice
What a fun filled memory making snow sledding perfect kid day😁👍⛄⭐
Your property is so beautiful, esp. with the snow. Today is my 50th wedding anniversary and I am spending the evening with you guys. God bless you.
Congratulations on 50 years😁
@@deborahlawing2728 Thank you so much.
Happy Anniversary! That is quite a milestone. Here’s to many more.
Snow is very pretty. Hope everyone not feeling well are better. Nice color contrast view of the farm and barn , the snow. Very pretty.
Drive on the side of the road where there is snow, but not too deep that you would get stuck. The snow gives you traction on one side.
When I lived in Missouri, home of ice storms, I did just what you suggested to get out of my neighborhood and get to work. It was better than the 360 I did trying to drive only on the icy road. Live and learn.
@@sarahaugustine4185 Expecting an Ice storm over night, and in the AM here in Missouri. LOL
@@MsChopperdog I hope you fared well.
@@sarahaugustine4185 We did, not as much ice as expected. More snow than ice.
@@sarahaugustine4185 iijjiijiiijiiiiiii*vi
Oh what fun it is to play in the snow there. I miss it so much. And you're right the beautiful soft silence is like no other place on earth. May want to invest in some good chains for your truck!!! Just in case! They came in handy several times while we lived there! God Bless! Hope the little one is much better soon!
The snow on all the trees is a dream!!!
Such a beautiful day on the homestead hope the little one starts feeling better soon. Sending love from NJ xoxoxo
You're prepared for being home. Food, shelter & each other.
Beautiful snow ❄️ ☃️ the kids had a great time sledding. Precious memories 🙏🏻
Have a Happy Healthy Blessed New Year🎆
Nice to be locked down, kids sledding in the snow. Love you guys. 🥰♥️💞
That's cute. We got 14 inches on Christmas. Nothing closed. lol
Snow is a noise dampener. I love when it is snowing, so peaceful.
I miss the beautiful snow days In Boone NC ! This video brought me right back to those days . ♥️
Oh such lovely snow and the enthusiasm of the sledding children!!!♡♡♡
I am up here in NB, Canada enjoying your white Christmas. We have had record high temperatures and so much rain.
*GOOD FUN KIDS IN THE SNOW GOOD NIGHT*
It is forever since I went sledding. Not many hills on the prairies..... I bet the kids slept well after that great afternoon!
Happy New Year! ☺️❤️❤️❤️
It's amazing what people are used to. We drive on roads like that all day long up here in Saskatchewan Canada and don't think twice about it. If you are not used to it of course be careful cause at any moment you can lose control. I want to come back to North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. We were there in Aug 2019.
Do you mean you gain the skills to drive on it, or become blase about the risk, or have the tyres etc to be able to do it? (just curious)
build courage from being a youth driver on, good tires and learn how to control skidding. Otherwise wouldn't be able to leave home from middle/end of October to beginning/middle of May That's our winter here in Michigan.
Take these days with the kids every time you can. Put off what you can to have them. There is always something that needs done but those days will never come again. You don't know it yet but these are the best days of your life.
Hope everyone feels better very soon. Beautiful snowman... Happy New Year!
WOW...you have had much more snow than we have had, in central Illinois!! We had one snow in November with about a couple of inches and of course wind that blow it around. Had a few flurries yesterday.
We went to smokies for 10 days and luvd our white xmas. Happy new year to ur sweet hard workin fam
May God bless y’all throughout 2021 ! Beautiful snow , haven’t seen snow at Christmas in Southern Tennessee for the 25 years I’ve lived here ! I’m from Ky and miss that at Christmas. 🙏🏽❤️
I love all your animals and I know they're food but I love them. Your cows make me smile =)
I'm near Ashland Kentucky. Christmas Eve started raining, flash freeze and 7" of snow. First white Christmas in 10 years. Beautiful!
We just got our first ❄️🌨️❄️ here in Missouri this morning it's already melted off
Our weather is nothing like it use to be we get more ice now than snow
Enjoy your snow ❄️🌨️❄️🌨️❄️
We love ya all from Ouri
Happy New Years 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊
With your title, I thought you were sick and I was worried. I'm glad you're only snowed in. Phew!
Thank you for sharing the joys of childhood with us!!
I am in western NY, known for lots of snow, and we don’t have hardly any on the ground right now!
What a lovely place to get locked down in
Look at that snow! Gorgeous.
The kids laughter was the best thing heard on that quiet road.
We just moved to North Carolina & got a beautiful snow for Christmas. Not enough to snow us in, but such a joy to walk through Christmas morning.
Thank you I just downloaded your book. Thank you for all you and your family do for us. Marie from Eden, NC
What a day in Paradise. I was seriousy blessed watching your day.
Don’t know if you’ll see this - but just saying keeping you all in prayer that you’re safe and that bug is out of the house.
I'm in the northwest on the Oregon coast. We have rain, wind and grey skies. Typical Christmas weather for us. It's depressing, but I'm keeping on!
🥳Happy New Year🎉 May this new year bring your family health, peace & prosperity. I hope the little one gets well quickly. That dinner looked so good. Loved the laughter of the kids sledding. Making some great childhood memories. The snow looked so beautiful & peaceful.
Blessings, Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇺🇸👍❤️🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Those were cute snowmen especially with that hat. Even the cat thought so.
"What's in that....mix?" The sound of your voice, that long pause, it sounded like you were going to say "mess" not "mix" with a sound of a little distaste. LOL
Happy New Year! I hope that 2021 is a better year for your family than 2020 was.
I hope the little one is feeling better. Beautiful scenery the kids look like they were just having a ball of fun I wish you a Happy New Years hoping for all the good things in life to come your way
The Noreaster gave us 3 ft, caught us off guard we were closed up everywhere. Took all day to clean up a small pass through. Today it's all gone. But it's snowing again, have good safe fun
I’m glad you gave grace to the big buck on the hill. And he knew it. Happy new year.
These kids will have great memories. 😁😁😁
Put some hey or dirt on the road. Btw. Always clean so you got mirrorviews when driving icey road. We got a steep way here that gets icey. We have benefitted from clearing the windows and mirrors.. if going up hill, backing can improve grip. Some times turning off abs(antibreakblocking) will help for getting up a hill. Down hill is best to keep them on. Pump breaking will give you stearing. Having an extra 100-200kg will improve grip. Some said once to use soap since it foams up and freezes a bit will get more grip, but i dont know about the last part.. take care. Best of wishes!
Simply beautiful! Winter wonderland!!☃️
Precious moments.
We had a white Christmas in Toronto after a warm Christmas eve, but it was all gone by Boxing day. Looks like it's going to be a mild January. The jet stream is giving us a break this year.
It looks so beautiful! I’ve never seen snow in person but it just looks so beautiful. Happy New Year!
You have had more snow than we have had in SW Michigan. We were supposed to get 5-7 inches of lake effect snow on Christmas Eve, but we ended up with 1 inch. That's the thing with lake effect snow, a mile a way it could be a completely different story.
Good to see everyone! 👍🏻Thanks for sharing! Sending blessings, good energy, and love your way...!!!! 🙏🏻🙌🏻❤ Happy New Year! 🎉
When I was a kid any time we got snow for Christmas it seemed so magical. As I got older it wasn't a big deal anymore. But sometimes when I see it like in your video I feel the magic again. For just a moment. Good memories 💕🎄❄
Happy New Year Art, Bri and the whole family.
Oh to be a child again.... to be able to enjoy the beauties of winter.
next time it thaws a little get buckets of sand from your creek for the icy parts . My aunt used to get us to fill buckets before winter
What a great life for your children! Happy New Year to my favorite You Tube family.
