I´m from Nicaragua, now live in Honduras, and I remember going to San Juan del Sur when I was a kid and stayed there for the holidays, it´s a nice place to go, very peaceful. It´s been a while since I don´t go there, but someday I will return, it brings back so many memories. I really recomend it.

Nicaragua is such a great place! I've went there for my first time in 2006 and it was awesome! I'm going tommorow to leave the U.S. and spend Christmas with my grandparents who live there! It's such a better Christmas here not to offend any gringos! =) But, here's its all about the presents, but in Nicaragua its about the birth of Christ and much more special. If you haven't gone to Nicaragua yet, you must go! It's very nice and has great food and places to see. Too bad I'll be there 4 one week.

Pase 13 anios en Nicaragua y ahora que vivo en los EEUU tengo nostalgia. Nunca puedo olvidar mi amante Maria, originaria de Diriamba. Fuimos separados por la guerra civil. El paraiso que es Nicaragua fue jodido por los comunistas. Asi que es dificil para mi contener mi odio, ya que el odio destruye y el amor vence.

"san juan del sur", siento decirlo pero no es tan bonito como lo ponen, el agua es fria,etc. hay mil veces mejores playas que eso, pueden recorrer toda la costa pacifica desde chinandega, leon, carazo : donde se encuentran playas con olas mucho mas grandes, comida bien sabrosa y mas "barata" , hoteles sencillos y comodos, por ejemplo jiquilillo, poneloya, pochomil, casares ,ect. pero san juan del sur es por que esta costa rica serca y llegan invercionistas y por eso tanta propaganda, no sirve.
If you don't know about Nicaragua, what a pity!! Is in the same continent as USA, America. Central America to be more specific. A two hours flight from Miami or Houston. Why to waste a beautiful country's image with political worned-out 's opinions ?!! If you are tired of the beaten track (e.g. marketed tourist trap),, next time try Nicaragua.
