Great tips, dude! Even since 3 years back. I especially like that whip handheld transition ideas, forwards and backwards and then switching while editing. And i am not alone here. Man! When i watched the initial sequence before explanation i was sure you did speed ramping in the edit. And, amigo, you look soooo mature today in copmare with this video. What a transition! Only in 3 years. Ever thought of a time laps of your own evolution? 😊
Thank you! I have a sad garden that I want to bring to life. I figured I may as well point a camera at it while I’m doing it. These were the kind of tips I was looking for. Thank you!!!
Is there any video you explaining to make a smoothness between transitions? I am not talking about the in camera-transition, but the way you handle your camera movement. For example you shoot one cut with dolly-in motion with a bit of left rotation and you do the same for following cut. Or an another example would be you shooting a tree from bottom to top with left rotation and the following cut, you do the same movement to make the transition smooth.
I just watched your videos and instantly had to subscribe to your channel. Your videos are very informative and help me a lot since I just opened a new Channel myself. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
hey, i have a question: you said that if you shoot in 60fps don't edit on a 60 fps timeline, so which i use, a higher number timeline (120 fps) or lower (24 fps)
Amazing video brother...n Ur explanations r too good with simple elegance that easily can understandable ... Accent was clean n enough for everyone to hear Clear
Great information here Joris. I'm trying to do more video to add to my landscape photography. You mention to not edit a 60 FPS video on a 60 FPS timeline. I understand why. So what Frame rate time line do you use? If I'm absorbing anything here I'm going to say 120. Does this also apply to 24 and 120 FPS shot video? Thank you for putting this out there. This old dog is still trying to learn some new tricks.
Hi, I'm a new bee and I want to ask something to make it clear. So if I shoot at 60 FPS ,should I edit it at 120 FPS timeline or at 24 FPS timeline to get the cinematic view ?
Slow motion will get rid of most of the little shakes and stutters. Also turning on image stabilization of course but but it depends how good the stabilization on your camera is.
Ough, I should watch this video first before taking footage. Unfortunately, I already took many footage in boring location and it's far from my location. I'll try all this tips for the next footage in other location.
Hi, congratulation for your channel and contents, can i ask you a question? clip for this footage Were they all shot at 60fps? then in post production you exported the video at 24fps?
3:17 what does it mean? 60 FPS not to edit on 60 FPS timeline in real time footage? How does it stand for example in Premiere Pro? Amazing video btw! :)
Hey! So, I always edit on a 24fps timeline. That means that I shoot 24fps for real time footage and whenever I shoot 60 or 120fps, it's to use as slow motion.
@@JorisHermans So when I open Premiero Pro I can choose the timeline's FPS count? If yes then if I have 24 fps and 60 fps footage that I want to use in the same project (60 fps only for slow motions) I can still do it right?
This was a fun challenge! Who else is up for it? 😉👊🏻
Thanks for watching, guys! 🙏🏻

Hi, congratulation for your channel and contents, can i ask you a question? clip for this footage Were they all shot at 60fps? then in post production you exported the video at 24fps?
60fps slowed down to 24fps on a 24fps timeline.

Yes, of course! You could even use the 60fps as real time footage because Premiere will just remove frames to make it look like 24fps.
Should i shoot auto shutter speed or all manual?
I think it's best to learn how to shoot all manual. It'll take some time to learn but you'll get the best results that way.
@@JorisHermans Do proffesional cinemaphotographer always use manual?
You don't need an ND filter if you shoot at 60 fps and slow it down in post proces.
If you want full control over the aperture you do need an ND filter.
Can I do these by my phone
Yes!
Reverse shot 😂 it's even complicated to my head 😂
🤯😅
