I really enjoyed this video. I’m a beaver trapper who traps for meat here in the US. We have no concept of netting. I’m going to look into that and see if I can locate a source for a net over here. I have a lot of beaver trapping vids on my channel. You are exactly right about feeding yourself these days. If you ever find yourself in the US, let me know and I’ll be happy to take you on my beaver line.

Hello mate thank you glad you enjoyed the video! I had a look at a few of your videos great content you guys have more of a range of quarry to trap than we do here and we aren't allowed foot hold traps here.....even the conibear traps we have to use in boxes or tunnels so we can't catch non target speieces our trapping laws are strict! Always interesting to see how you guys do stuff across the pond tho! I'm hoping to get over to the States one day its on my bucket list for sure thanks for the offer👌👍 I'm not sure on the legalities of netting where you are but if you can do it I know the net makers here in the UK ship there nets far and wide there popular over in Australia they use ferrets and nets down under same as we do.....so I'm sure a net and basket system like the one I showed could be sent over👍 Thanks for watching and happy hunting

Traps, snares and nets are far superior to dogs and ferrets, they dont need fed, can be set 24/7 in the case of traps and snares, i can be put in a cupboard or shed for months, even years on end and forgotten about.
Plus if you know how, they will all catch fur, feather and fin.
A trap you didnt mention, that arguably is better than the fenn, is the bodygrip trap.
Unfortunately there isnt the amount of rabbits about for most to keep a ferret, and the law if so harsh on hunting dogs now, its borderline suicide to be seen with a lurcher.

@paddydoyle4234 yeah your right there and they work without you being there......iv not used the bodygrips before iv seen them they look good traps! Yeah unfortunately it's getting that way with the lurchers I just hope we don't go the same way as Scotland has🤞 thanks for watching 👌
