This event was really disappointing. They got it right with the Revan, CLS and Malak events.
Thoses events were fun to grind, play then once you got them fun to theory craft
JKR could have been better.

I'm glad I'm not one of them and I'm hoping to get General Skywalker in the summer. I hope this game doesn't end. I love the community - Guild mates, allies and the CZcamsrs in this game.

Man it was so annoying hearing from him in every video all the time "CAPITAL GAMES MAY NOT BE PERFECT BUT THEY A L W A Y S MAKE GREAT LEGENDARY EVENTS!!11!1". They literally slapped him to the ground with this "event". Yes, revans, cls and Malak events were great but that 4 out of 18 legendaries we have right now! Rest was made with very low effort. CG is a joke, I'm sorry to whales for their addiction and the way they are being milked.
@@roger8506 I mean he's not wrong though, the events are usually pretty good and have interesting battles mixed in with lore. This showed they just mailed it in this time for a quick buck, having ridiculous requirements, copying crap 1v1 pvp from another game, and just overall created a shit show.
He's usually so positive so when he actually gets pissed I buy it. Compared to the subreddit where everyone is salty 24/7. If Ahnald is salty you know you've done messed up.

The Harry Potter game uses the "Rock, Paper, Scissors" game to determine who gets to take a turn.
If you win, you then can take a number of different actions (spells or potions) based on the stance you chose.
If you select Defensive, you can use healing items as well as attacks for example.
So not only do you have to try and out whit the RNG to win the RPS, but you also have to think about which stance is going to offer you abilities that will benefit your current situation.
The luck factor is frustrating at times, but at least that's not the only factor.
Sadly, the Dev/Designers/Producers won't lose their jobs out of this as it will have made a lot of money for very little technical effort.

I've played this game from the first year. Today, I quit. I haven't been actually having fun with it for a while, just grinding, and I feel I won't be able to access any fun new content without whaling. I'm still gonna check out Ahnald's videos to play vicariously through him when they finally give us Jedi Luke which should have been a Year 1 character.
The game does not have the same passion behind making it anymore, its all about profit now. This event feels more like a Marquee event

I actually whaled out for GAS and then after the event and he wasn’t 7* I felt so unfulfilled that I quit. Broke the addiction and have never felt better. 🤓 7k overall down the tube though 😜
When i saw each tear had specific characters as requirements i thought it would be a recreation of the story for each character ending with the battle of exegol from reys and kylos perspective and i was really excited for it, but you can use any character for the battles! Its just a hard node farm with no sim and a 400 energy requirement!! 🤷🏻♂️

@@sw-nerd9586 You can do it with Gear 8 across the board, if you have trouble watch some of the old guides for modding the pheonix for this event, or just gear ezra to g10, event is a lot of trial and error but eventually you will get good rng.

I've been playing this game F2P since day one. I'm really on the verge of quitting. My guild mates are amazing so that's kept me playing longer. But since relics came I've lost so much interest. 2 years ago I couldn't imagine quitting. Now I'm trying to find a reason to stay.

Just as a great fun note, the early event bug is blocked. You need to be level 85 now to get characters like padme.

AhnaldT101 it really does suck, but if you look at the top of our shard there’s relics all over the place, and even somebody might get gl rey.
I have been free to play for over 2 years and seeing this made me realize that I will never go after these characters. The event is lazy, the characters aren’t super exciting, and I don’t need relic characters that inflate my roster if they aren’t even required like a cls event. This really disappointed me in the swgoh community

Honestly, when I saw the duel, I was expecting for the characters to be their actual Galactic Legend selves, not this pathetic farce of a Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Were it that way, I'm pretty sure that the duel would've been more fun and more dynamic, and whenever one of the characters would lose 25% Max Health, they would do like, I don't know, a different clash animation each time, kinda like a Raid or so.
Also, the first two tiers are a disappointment, even Clash on Kamino was more difficult. Even with *Relics*
Overall, Capital Games, characters seem like they will be awesome, but actual event, it's just a chore

The biggest load of crap CG has dumped on us since releasing the game.
I am glad that after four years, I quit the game a week ago. I was f2p and the restrictions it demands on personal life and time are not worth it. Fix payout times, fix raid times. If you work with a single refresh in your Squad Arena, you are basically stuck in front of the screen for 90+ minutes with only 20 minutes of repetitive matches, just to get a few additional crystals. And even then it takes ages to bring a character to a reasonable gear level.
I also noticed they changed the carbanti drop rate. For years 5 pieces per sim was pretty much the standard. But for a few months I saw more and more 3 drops. They rigged the gear droprate while adding more and more characters. That kind of customer care can really only pulled off with a Star Wars license.

I thought it was going to be a return to the CLS story telling style event. Cinematic rather than challenge, a reward for farming all those characters and getting to use them within that story. But it's nothing like that. A bit disappointing - though I'm far from unlocking either.

As a FTP player I never was going to get Galactic Legends anyway, but now that I’ve seen what an utter waste of time and money it is, I even feel bad for the whales and krakens!

I'm edit this a bit.
Imagine of these events were like GAS or Malak. Where you actually go through the entire trilogy for an ultimate confrontation with Sidious/Palpatine. You could have Relic Rose actually be useful by having her and Finn on a mission on Canto Blight as a tier on its own. You could have had SL Kylo soloing Mustafar/Vader Cultists, along with just a fun what if scenario of him fighting/training the Knights of Ren. You could have had Rey/Kylo fighting the Praetorian Guards.
Literally anything that could have been a fun system, whereas dueling didn't have to be Rock, Paper, Scissors, why not have it be an actual duel system where each round you're getting new abilities to try and upshow the opponent. Round 1 Rey is misplaying and hurting, Round 2 she is able to use Force Lightning, Round 3 she can Force Heal, just stuff that escalates to show a better duel, changing stances like KAM for instance, something to try and actually be strategic as it goes on.
Can't wait for Master Kenobi vs. Mustafar Vader with such exciting RPS abilities as Jump, Strike, and High Ground (Parry).
This event seems almost worse than the movie it was based on... seems fitting
The problem with this game is that it’s only fun for the 5% of players who have spent enough time or money to be insanely powerful in the game. Lower players are just stuck

I gotta say, i really enjoy your content Ahnald, you're one of the main reasons i still play this game, though i've not spent a penny since a couple of months, because CG does not deserve it.
But i'd massively enjoy you playing other mobile games on a f2p note, like starting over in marvel strike force as a series or raid sl, that way people can have a good look as to what other mobile games have to offer and what could interest them.
I guess there are a lot of people like me, that have put sooooo many hours into this game and effort, that they just don't really want to try a different game, because they are worried that they'll get the CG-Treatment... that's why i think you could really help us out with some fresh content, especially with your entertainment throughout all of your videos.

Everyone can laugh at what a joke the event is, but if dolphins and whales dont stop spending, it wont change anything. I myself am a big dolphin and havent spent anything in the past month. This event further convinces me to not spend anymore on the crappy content that CG releases.

I think official star wars released before cg to let them know they were out of time but great vid as usual it would be nice to see them give tickets away through guild events as well.
In fairness the art is a step up from where it has been, new kylo looks great to me. Look at KRU's art.. i mean, it's awful.
The art wouldn’t be an issue if they didn’t continually pat themselves on the back for it during every post. No one gives a shit and the models never look right.
Its marginally better than before for sure but doesn't deserve hearing for 4 months how amazing their art looks lol I would not bring up the point about art but they keep making it their sole talking point
@@AhnaldT101 They talk about art because they think surprising people with requirements, skill sets and actual content earns them more money. On top of that they're scared of announcing a WIP and having people complain they spent money and it changes after. So the only way to hype their events is to talk about the only thing they don't mind announcing.

God was this event terrible. Having to gear worthless characters like Rose, the lack of a nice little story like we had for CLS and Revan, the over powered nature of these characters, and finally the rock paper scissor of the event. And as someone who plays the Harry Potter game, let me tell you, the HP is FAR better. Because when you pick "Rock" you actually have a serious of different spells you can pick that do different things like rawr damage, damage over time, stun, or healing and combos of the above. Its a shitty duel but at least there is some strategy. This is just terrible
