@@iits_seb6976 only from the MK3 onwards the MK1 and 2 were FWD. Although the MK2 had the ability to go 4WD if you wanted to spend the money

New ring content about everyday. The passengers faces and reactions are so funny, and Misha relaxed and chill, basically test runs and diagnostics.
I always have to remind myself he could well shoot three of these videos in one day!

It was his oil temps. Everytime it hit 127 degrees it went into limp mode. Increase the temperature threshold

Had the same thing going with my TSI engine. Everytime oil hits 125 degrees, it would go into limp mode. It was a stage 1 1.0 TSI making150hp 2018Polo AW. Loved it !

That was a great watch. Hats off to the owner for having the balls to go that far with that car and getting to experience it on there with Misha driving. When i did a taxi lap in the GT2 rs with Moritz a couple of years back it was doing just over 170mph through that section so good going. Good to see you're doing well Misha👍
Cupra owner is top guy, glad you caught up with Green M3 because he was moving, made more sense when you see it up close, serious set up.

This is quite a handful on track, but for street and Mexico activities I bet this thing is a riot to drive. Props to the owner for building something like this but I’d be curious to see an awd conversion of this and what it could do with all the traction.

@@christycullen2355 haha yeah that's what we say for highway racing. High speed drag races prefaced with "filmed in mexico" so the drivers avoid any potential legal consequences. It became a bit of a car culture meme here when people started posting videos of drag racing in "Mexico" with very obvious American highway signs and cities flying by in the recordings, very surprised to hear it has drifted overseas! 😄

We chose the AD08R as the weather was looking really bad that weekend imagine it on some good semi-slick tyres it puts the power down alot better

this is easily up there with one of my favorite channels you get to see peoples crazy builds and then also get to see them in action being thrashed around the best track in the world by a great driver

Part of me thinks that 620HP in that FWD Cupra is just too much, but it's so nicely implemented I love it!
Was fun to watch, but I think it's not going overboard to say stock power with all the suspension mods would have made for a better (subjective) track experience, and probably not a slower laptime either.

@@mgcharoudin 👍100% agreed, but it does require adjustment to braking points. Great lap in an unfamiliar car though.
Insightful comment about modern tires/tyres too. Did they feel overstressed at times?
Also, 620bhp no way, it's good he believes that but IRL, that's not 620bhp.
@@JerainJezza why don't you think so? There are guys all over the world putting down 550+ at the wheels on these engines in various MQB cars. 620bhp is entirely possible if built correctly. 500whp450wtq is seen as the limit by most tuners for the stock bottom end. These gen 3 engines rip.

Great build! Maybe awd and a full diffuser would help with handling and won't ruin much of the "sleeper" look. I love the; how much power? "yes!" approach as well!

TDI? I don't think anyone thought it was too much, but diesels just have way more torque for lower power numbers and are more prone to torque steering.

Fast car and the owner comes across as a very decent bloke.
Oil pressure switch became faulty both times at 127°C. Seems to me like that temperature affects oil pressure and then you get warning. Also seems like you should have done your service prior to race event.(oil service interval 500miles notification)

I've only got the pd160 version but I don't think many people realise just how planted they feel when going around corners, well before you add another 500 bhp to them anyway, there's probably a reason there's less than 130 left on the road in the UK. Great content as usual, need to do some mods to mine now I think... lol

I am a really weird kind of car guy. For some reason I love sketchy overpowered 2wd cars lol. Way more entertaining to drive because you have to know your car really well.

@@positivesquad RWD yes, that's entertaining... But FWD, nah, trying to get the front to do all the acceleration and steering is asking too much. BTW nice to see a fellow Jacob Collier fan, not expected on this channel!
@@TheTechnoaddict yeah. Mine is 190hp @ 1200kg FWD. I have about a dozen chassis and suspension mods so far, and am still not thinking about increasing power. It just doesn't make sense.
Maybe with the best modern trick suspension & diff. & semis 300 hp is the most a FWD car can reasonably handle.
Even though those who haven't been there should be aware, the Ring has a very rugged, grippy asphalt - I did a lap in the wet and there was about as much grip as on some public roads in the dry. So if it doesn't even work on the Ring, it makes even much less sense on road.
