Dans le cadre du festival L'Original, se tiendront à Lyon le 9 avril 2011 les qualifications françaises pour la finale européenne du Red Bull BC One, la plus prestigieuse des compétitions de danse hip-hop internationale.

Initié en 2004, le Red Bull BC One prend de l'ampleur à travers un calendrier chargé. Ainsi, à quelques mois de cette compétition internationale, ce sont d'abord les qualifications françaises du Red Bull BC One Lyon Cypher qui agitent le B-Boyin' hexagonal. Seize danseurs français triés sur le volet vont se défier au cours de ce premier contest national, et tenter de décrocher leur ticket pour l'édition européenne qui se tiendra à Barcelone au mois de juin. Dans l'espoir de participer peut-être au Red Bull BC One 2011, ultime podium du Breakdance international, qui verra s'affronter les meilleurs danseurs de la planète à St Petersbourg fin novembre.
Réputés pour leurs aptitudes techniques, les danseurs ont été sélectionnés par un jury d'experts internationaux parmi les plus pointus de l'Hexagone. Une solide réputation au sein de la communauté Breakdance, un caractère hors du commun et une technique à toute épreuve sont les qualités primordiales pour figurer dans cette sélection haut de gamme.

Des maîtres du footwork aux powermovers les plus réputés, le Red Bull BC One Lyon Cypher verra ainsi s'affronter au Transbordeur les meilleurs parmi les meilleurs, toutes générations confondues. Face à des compétiteurs chevronnés comme Keyz (Vagabonds) ou Marcio (Legiteam Obstruxion), qui participaient déjà l'an dernier au Red Bull BC One de Tokyo, figurent en effet des outsiders de la nouvelle génération comme Tim (Vagabonds), Niggaz (Pockemon) capables de rivaliser de technique, d'inventivité et de style avec les plus grands. Entre jeune garde et talents confirmés, le combat promet donc d'être serré. Sélectionné d'office pour son impressionnant palmarès en one-to-one (BOTY, Just Jam...) et son style unique qui lui a valu le Chief Rocka Award 2010, Mounir (Vagabonds), qui participait déjà au Red Bull BC One en 2008, rejoindra quant à lui directement le vainqueur à Barcelone pour la finale européenne.

Tim was tired already at the beginning and he couldnt pull out his dope moves anymore...soso on the other hand still has energy and doing insane moves... thats only way soso won...otherwise he would probably lose if he faced tim eariler

I like Soso. But on the real Tim so much better just watch his other battles. His sets are so complete. I would of been nice to have them both go to red bull.
S/O to Soso. Overall through the comp, he earned it. I think Tim won, he seemed more complete. Soso's first round was the opposite of well rounded. He murked the second set, but I think Tim took the last set.

@thatbboyrandom1 so for me that was not a beat kill, and in terms of transitions Tim was way more complete, he didnt just do a move, he did several moves combined wich made him more complete... and his toprock? Tim was on beat with his top rock, while soso was doin steps to go into his tricks... for mim Tim was breakin (combining all the factor and makin it into one) while Soso was just trowing moves. but im not hating... just from a bboy prespective thats how i see things.

@RockedSolid Tim didn't do any elbow flares. I think you might've meant to say elbow airflares? Idk :P sorry. To voice my opinion I'll just say that Soso did in fact repeat his rollbacks quite a few times. Tim is a wonderful bboy, however Tim lacks the bboy attitude needed to rival with Soso's. Lilou is one of the judges people so yea, doing that little elbow hit at 1:56 would also catch his eye since he did it in 2005.
I'm not hating on this battle whatsoever. Respect to both bboys!

@thatbboyrandom1 Let me tell u something,,, soso is dope but its a bboy battle not a tricks battle, although his style is tricks and power in a bboy battle u have to be able to respond to everything... theres response, atittude, footwork, top rock, power, transitions and then the musicality and freestyling factor... u say soso killed the beat? he didnt, all he did was hitting the beat... in parts wich he needed to way to hit... when a real beat kill is the one u do naturally hittin several parts

A little disappointed. I haven't seen the rest of Tim's battles to see if he was repeating a lot, but he had more diversity and flow. Soso was amazing to watch, but didn't dance like Tim danced.

Soso was kinda boring to watch for me, he was doing some insane tricks and hitting beats, but he didn't have much flow at all and his sets seemed incomplete (with the exception of his 3rd set). I'm not saying that he lost or anything, but I don't like his style very much
