Also, as far as the iPhone 13 auto brightness, I’m glad you mentioned that. While there are some applications where it will look good, overall it looks very awkward in my opinion. In your situation it was bright outside so it made sense. But when I take selfie‘s inside, it creates an artificial spotlight on me and it makes me very bright and it looks very awkward and edited.

I have 11 pro and to be honest 13 pro didn't impressed me much. Definatelly not worth spending so much money for an upgrade.
Wanted to upgrade to iPhone 13 Pro from mine 11 Pro. However only selling point I did found out was the display. Not worth the extra money that I would need to put in it. Gonna wait for 14 Pro.
The camera didn’t impressed but the reasons to upgrade go beyond, mainly because the 120hz screen. This is a huge difference.
The camera is a downgrade for my uses
@@SamoelFilho It’s really not. The screen refresh rate only applies to UI and it’s not really noticeable.

Thanks Ben, 13 pro was stuttering as well in the beginning vid shots, seems the 11 pro stuttered the least. I never noticed the HDR flicker on my 11 pro, so i'll have to pay attention closer. I know you test using the default apps for a variety of reasons, but many of the issues described with dark scenes can be easily corrected on all lenses using the Neural cam app for both video and photos making the upgrade even less of a need at this point. Thanks for the review! Sticking with the best coloured 3 camera phone thus far (As well as size at 5.8'' never duplicated) midnight green 11 pro (still 100% battery life!) with 512gb FTW!

thank you bro you saved my money, as i was planning to upgrade to 13 only for the camera to review it on my channel but i did not see any different from the 11 to be honest and unless you mentioned which photo and video of which iphone i would not notice any difference between the 13 and 11.
Brilliant video Ben, pro's are so expensive though and 11 pro is now exceptional value on auction sites for around 400 now. I'm torn which one to replace my single lens IP7 with !

@@chrome5725 i dont think it is, i had 11 pro max and it was amazing, now im using 13 pro max and the only really noticable difference is when its dark or if uplan to color correct the footage afterwards it has proraw that is very useful

Great review. I thought I wanted the 13 Pro 100% but now idk. I have the XS but i have the Mavic 2 Pro for epic scenery shots and the Insta360 One R for action videos. May stick with those for a while. At least until ProRes gets released on the 13 Pro.
11 pro does best for close up shots
Unless you wanna get REAL close then 13 for macro. It’s a trade off.

Funny you say you know this more background blur on the iPhone 13 pro, on mine there’s less compared to my iPhone 11 Pro. That’s one of my biggest gripes. The 13 seems to have less blur and when you take photos, it often has zero blur whatsoever where the 11 looks nice. The iPhone 13 also fails at taking close-up shots with the regular camera. It wants to go into macro mode where there is literally zero background blur and the picture doesn’t look as good.
Overall this camera is a downgrade for me.

The position of the phones effect the sound quality and wind noise reduction. Iphone 12 which is in the middle and which has direct angle to the voice and which use 2 other phones as wind shield performs better on microphones )))

I wish to switch from andriod to ios. Currently I have 2 options available which is iphone 11pro (512gb) and iphone 12 pro (256gb) and the price is about $250 difference. Which one will you guys suggest ?
I like at the end pointing out the only 3 reasons to upgrade. No reason for most, like myself, to move from the 11 pro unless you "need/want" any of those 3. I will never upgrade until I see new lenses and at least a 5x zoom...which they should ALREADY have, not sure why they don't...oh yeah....so they can keep you coming back for more... :) Great review.

Any way to turn off the HRD ? Cause as brilliant as the cinematic mode . It seems quite bad when uploading ti Instagram or facebook as it comes all washed out in colours .
I used fcpx and it was all blown out till i changed it to a hdr timeline . But when u export from finalcut and upload it , its back to washed out colours .
Just wish i could off hdr like i can in the main cam .
Go to Your phone settings , Look for Camera and turn off “Smart HDR”
why are people talking about similarity between 13 and 11? the difference is really huge - the 13 is by far better in nearly every aspect!! =)
