Detroit's Magnificent Fox Theater

  • This was an historic theater. William Fox, of Fox Studios, wanted a grand movie palace for his thriving chain. He commissioned architect C. Howard Crane to design this 5,000 seat wonder in 1926. Many credit the Preservation efforts at the nearby, Fox Theater with kicking off Woodward Avenue's revival. Much thanks goes to Mike Illitch of Little Caesar's fame for making the restoration possible.
