Now, a toned down road version of that body kit for the MG4 X-Power, a smaller MG4 sized sports car, an Electric MG3 and maybe a modern day Midget based on it and I think we're good.😁
Great to see the MG stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week. Lots of other EVs at this event this year eg., Rolls Royce Spectre EV; Lotus Eletre, Caterham project V electric sportscar; Caterham 7 EV; World premier of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N; Hyundai, Lotus, MG and Polestar had big stands at Goodwood. MG cyberster sports car was also there plus the MG 4 XPower and the MG EX4 concept rally car. Ford had the Mustang Mach-e Rally car there and loads more EVs.
I have (and adore) the bog-standard MG4 - I will probably get the EX4 in a couple of years. But really no idea why, other than I'm silly for speed. The acceleration to 30 in my SE still makes my eye-balls go concave.

BMW Z4 starts at £45k, and is quite a bit slower than the base MG. Top spec Z4 is £58k, and is 2 seconds slower to 60mph than the quickest MG. At that end of the performance scale, 2 seconds is massive. So, BMW may have a nicer interior, and be slightly more involving to drive. MG is quicker, has zero fuel costs, and those scissor doors. I'd say priced between £50k and £65k, it's in with a shout. It all comes down to the standard of the interior, and how it drives.
@@RacingAnt If you compare it to the £60,000 Ioniq 5 N it better at the very least have the same features or more. For the money. Sure the Ioniq has more power, drift mode and all the jazz. I'd like to see why £60,000 is justified.
@@blademanx you can't compare a low volume, 2 seater convertible to a mid-sized crossover. They have nothing in common, other than being quick electric vehicles. Do you expect a Porsche 911 to be the same price as an AMG A45?
Nice informative video as usual Miles, I think you'll be busy at Chorley with test drives once your X power demos land !
That's the plan!

The MG4 was closer to 3.6 0-60 when tested by ‘what car?’. Not too shabby
3.8 is 0 to 100kmh, which is 62mph. Those last 2 mph make a difference.
it’s almost certainly the cheapest production car to achieve that acceleration
That Cyberster looks great - but can you option delete the rear arrow lights? They're horrid.
Amazing x power hot hatch

Fabulous - brilliant... as well as the Stig you need to involve Peter Kaye doing Chorley FM - "Coming in your ears!!
Well,,,, what were times of the hill climb competition at the Goodwood Festival of Speed? How do they compare with other similar segment cars?
I'm in.
What happened to the MG4 Touring (long range) is it still being released ?
The Extended Range (77kWh) MG4 has also launched, and will be available for test drives within the next 2 weeks.
3:26 That suspension looks extremely soft and bouncy!

Do you mean X-Power?
The EX4 is a rally car concept only.
Yes I do.
the x power does not have masive brake calipers, its just a screwed on orange cover to look like big brakes ;-)
Bring MG back to BTCC

And they know deep down Cyberster is a 40k car max
I'd say above £50k will be a mistake

Cyberster looks tidy, however the name sounds like a concept car from the 80s.

Try the taycan...very fast
MG4 beats the base Taycan 4S 0-60
MG4 Xpower has been tested already, very fast 0-62mph, but the tester was not that impressed with its steering, handling, and brakes still overheated.
Same review with top gear. Unsatisfied with other things depite it being fast
a bit like mg4 x powerrrr😂
Yeah after seeing how that car performs it has put me off the Cyberster.
@@UnderWarrantycompletely different vehicle, wait for reviews of that car.
