Kitty Kat - I get what you are saying even if these idiot's don't. Yes people die but if you keep your ass home then fewer people die. How? You DON'T expose others to the virus if YOU are carrying it - a caregiver who may be trying to get food for a vulnerable person & your dumbass becomes the reason that they lose someone they LOVE. That to me is a unacceptable behavior.
Happy 4/20 Eric! This video was great for today. Loved the black&white spooky house. As far as I can tell, you're social distancing just fine. I've also got relatives as well as myself in health care and I agree it might be maybe a month too soon (not years!) I do believe it's very important to phase in re-entry. Of course, time will tell if another wave comes to the people who went back sooner than others. Stay safe everybody!
Gotta say. There's a reason that your healthcare worker friends and family are saying to keep things closed for longer. They need time to spread out cases of the virus before they are overwhelmed and could possibly die. I'd be concerned if I were them as well.
You don't want things to open up too quickly. As someone who has been through covid and barely survived it sucks in a big way. 5 ER visits and 26 days in the hospital.
Sadly after many years this is goodbye from my partner and myself Finding it hard to reconcile the hundreds of people dying in cities across America ,and indeed the world , and your inability to stay at home ,whatever form that may be Staying at home except for essential travel is what the communities you have continued to visit are doing .Its the reason everything is closed and the streets deserted Eric . By continuing to visit public spaces , sit on swings etc , then visit a laundromat or supermarket does little to stop virus spread . Maybe you should heed the message of your family in the health community . Health care workers (of which I am one ) have little choice but continue to work long shifts ,exposing themselves and their families to this deadly virus , often without adequate protective equipment .In fact many have also died . I’m not sure the next community you visit will appreciate you potentially exposing them to this virus,of which they have all tried hard to limit by staying at home often with great personal sacrifice .
it's obvious Eric either has natural immunity, as we are finding is quite extensive in the populus, or had a bit of scratch;y throat, or one day of being tired and was really getting and has gotten over whatever it was. If you are working in health care. This will soon be over, and you can sleep again, and everything will be less imminent and scary. My Best wishes to you for Inner Peace. I, for another, really appreciate what you are doing.
That funky old house next to the nicer house .... probably slave quarters. The white owners lived in the nice house and their slaves lived in the more "meh" house ... no kidding.
Hi. I went to pick up my online order at Kroger, and it went smoothly, it was on time, the week before last week, it was delayed a day. I am glad I didn't have to go inside the store. Kroger had online order and pick up or delivery long before the coronavirus showed up. They were well prepared in that case, they call it Click-it, similar to Walmart's online order and pick up or delivery. It was nice getting some fresh air, and my car needs to be driven once in a while, so at least once a week, I will drive it somewhere, to keep the batteries charged, and the fluids running thru it. You did fine, you were socially distancing while getting some fresh air and some exercise, and since no other humans were walking around. I love your graphic of the ghost in the video when you had the haunted house, that was cool. Thank you for the video tour, it was nice seeing someplace different through your videos, I appreciate that. I enjoyed your video today. You and Jax be safe and take care. See you in future videos.
Looking forward to accurate antibody testing, there's some stats out of Stanford saying that we're likely to have 50X's more people who've had this over these past 3-4 months. Know we had it in Jan/Feb (Oregon). Also saying it's related to SARS which if you had, you're now immune to it (for how long, they don't know). Apparently it remains in the body just like chicken pox (shingles) or herpes simplex (think cold sores). So, I don't think it's going to just go away, but think enough people will become immune through contact. Right at the moment though, it's really dangerous to be a frontline worker. Fabulous architecture, thanks Eric! Stay safe ~
Well I stay away from people by nature. That’s why I don’t see the harm in some people going back to work and continue in their lives. This blanket rule covering everyone unless they are essential to the country, is bull crap in my opinion.
WHB JR and Nomadic Fanatic. You don't start the day by SNORTING 😨 Coffee. I think you are supposed to drink it!! Lolol About the virus You are supposed to live with germs. If you don't, you won't have an immune system. Look up immune system and how to bone it up. Of COURSE it doesn't make sense what they are doing. Because it isn't right, its not the right thing to do. We must mix it up. Those who get sick will mostly get over it. The poor souls that can't resist it will... wait! Wait a minute! There is a cure. Hydroxychloroquine plus Zithromax plus Zinc !! 99% effective.
WHB JR People who don't use common sense.I get it.Thats why u have to continue taking care of u.I'm hoping we don't see people coming down with the flu and Covid at the same time this fall.
Well Eric, it's not a coincidence that your family members that are in the Health Field feel it's a bad idea to open too soon. They're in the middle of it. They see what this thing is really doing. I'm with them. I think we should wait a little bit more. But everyone wants to get Covid, so lets go ahead and open.
loved the McPike Mansion droid footage !! Might I suggest an idea for after COVID-19 ? Maybe consider a tour of regions...or byways that focuses on gorgeous Architecture, historical locations of Houses...libraries...buildings that are intricate and full of gingerbread, details and the like.. I really love your themed series.... you have a great eye for things, and I would love to see the incredible buildings of historic significance in a bit more detail.... just a thought to ask you to consider.... Thank you for being a happy distraction for me .... I too am locked down by myself... and I look forward to the small brief escape your videos offer.... Stay safe, healthy and happy Eric !!
You love architecture? You have to come to Buffalo, NY. Come the third weekend of July. We have America's largest Gardenwalk. You get a map and over 2 days, you can meander into the historic, private backyards and see some fantastic, imaginative gardens. What a wonderful time.
I grew up in the Alton area, you should take a trip over to St. Louis and visit the City Museum when the lock-down is lifted. It is pretty much the coolest museum ever. And its SIUE btw.
Another month is not years. The problem is the weather turned nice and people want out. It is a mistake to open now because we may waste all the time we've done this... but whatever. At this point... well it's pointless because they are g ou ding to open. I'm just really hoping we did enough.
Really enjoyed this trip today. Enjoyed Alton. Loved the structure If the buildings like the church. And of course the haunted house. Amazing how much scarier it seems in black and white. I’m a retired nurse and I completely understand the health care workers. But being someone who likes to get out with friends I want to open. I want to see it open slowly. And still use caution. Maybe one or two people at a time for hair cuts or personal things. Let people eat out on outside patios. But also watch those states who are opening and see if any increase in positive C19 and then make better decisions.
Hello. It was so ice to see you running around here in my neighborhood 👍👍 You were only few minutes away from my house. I work from home & haven't had a chance too see any of my friends close up for a long time so this quarantine haven't change my life that much. Hubby has been a part of care team for his family member and his temperature has been taken often. Seeing you for few minutes was like the fun highlight of the week for me. I'm the note gal with the green skirt. I hope you'll come back in this area one day so you can experience things around here. We'll take you out to dinner next time if we can.I wish you awesome future travels 👍👍
People say that haunted houses are a fairytale. The truth is, ominous places like that are usually populated by all kinds of demons. And if an uninvited guest happens to drop by, he would probably be infiltrated by a bunch of those guys. And after a while they start causing you stress, anxiety, anger, fear, paranoia and all that good stuff. Some people may even get completely possessed and go mad. So if you don't know how to protect yourself from that better avoid places like that all together.
I completely agree with you Eric about haunted houses and cemeteries. They are certainly not a place I find inviting. I can't believe anybody is causing you grief over going out. You are literally the only one in town...so what the hell? Those who complain are the same ones driving this issue to the extreme and making it impossible to regain our economy. And now to the important issue forthcoming..."Happy Birthday Jaximus"... 🎂🌟♥😺👏 Be well, stay safe and healthy! 😊
As long as you stay away from everyone, you shouldn't have much to worry about. I'm all for doing what we need to do now to make sure most people don't get sick. However, getting outside for exercise (which includes driving somewhere and walking around) isn't that risky. In fact getting out and moving around is highly recommended.
The problem with driving around is that you may be putting others at risk. If you break down you will have to call for help putting them at risk. Just stay at home and don't be greedy. Another couple of weeks isn't too much to ask. I have lost respect for Eric because of this video.
Thank You Eric! You are not breaking any guidelines of the Pandemic. Keep making these travel videos,..with continued safety of course. I can’t wait for this crap to be lifted! I have my next road trip planned for Portland. My husband and I need a McMenamins fix bad! 😂
In terms of when to open things, you are right of course, staying closed for 5 years would be catastrophic. Of course, opening too soon and letting the virus run rampant would be pretty catastrophic too. That is why I hope we take an evidence, science based data approach. Set some specific markers like "busineses that have this kind of human interaction can open when the number of new cases per day drops below this number". In fact that is pretty much what the White House CDC Guideline says to do. Each region/state sets its markers, tracks those markers and starts to open as those markers are met. If after opening the markers backpack, you close back down a bit again and wait till it starts to go down. We can not let the virus overrun the hospitals, or far more people will die, including the hospital workers. We need a balanced approach not just "open it up" or "keep it closed". IMHO
I work in hospital as bedside nurse. I agree that we still need longer for shutdown. Just starting to hit in my area. Nasty virus not to be taken lightly.
I can’t believe he got freaked out about a hill because I have recently been up to Seattle and Bothell and I have to say that the hills in Seattle are the steepest I have ever seen it freaked me out
I’ve come to realize that certain people just want to make other people feel horrible, sometimes for no apparent reason. Ignore them Eric, don’t give them their 5 minutes of fame. Just be you and don’t even acknowledge them.
I totally agree and know what you mean. I have friends that flip a cork everytime I or another friend even go for a walk outside. I tell them tell I'm tired of telling them that they never said we couldn't go outside and couldn't go for walks or even to parks if they're open. People are just losing it right now. That mansion was creepy as heck. As for cemeteries it depends some seem more peaceful then creepy. That one you was in might have been a bit creepy though. I however love reading gravestones and wondering about the person. What kind of person they were. We're they kind, how'd they die. Yeah I'm a huge history buff.
Much of Alton was built from the stones from a prison where soldiers were tortured. The stones carried the energies from the tortured. Love to visit Alton. Live north near the Illinois capital. Enjoy !!!
Hello from los Angeles California. Love your videos I used to live in Illinois. Alton is on my list I am a over the road truck driver been doing it for.2.years
I'm on furlough and I'm with u. We can't stay closed forever. Looking forward to May when my retail company may open again. I'm killing myself with home projects. Although they need to be done, there was a reason I've been putting them off. My back says it is really ready to go back to retail work.
We like watching your travels, short ones long ones it's just fun seeing things we will never see in person, here in Kansas we can go out walking and lots do in our small town, we just keep our distance to other walkers, thank you for your videos
Happy 420 too! Loving it on medical in this lovely panhandle of the lovely state of Florida!!! Jax enjoy your catnip!! lol! Be safe, happy trails!!! Peace and Love ❤️
Eric, I am going nuts with this stay at home stuff. I am dying to get out in my T@G Boondock Edge and just enjoy nature. If I am going crazy you must be way worse. You have the true Nomad gene. I hope this country gets things figured out. Stay safe.
I'm glad you're out and about gives us all a chance to see stuff we can't see and you're not doing anything wrong you're doing it right please keep it up look forward to the next episode
Yes, it sucks things are shut down, but as a medical worker opening up too early means more dead and the worse our economy will be. And no one said 5 years Eric, more like a month or two while our Governors can get more tests so we can find out who are sick and those who are healthy.
If you venture to south-central Missouri, you should come to the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder, the author of the Little House books (Little House on the Prairie is the most popular). There is not much else to see in this small hamlet I call home, unless, you want to go see the old mansion of Carl Mays (former pro-baseball player known for being the only player to kill another player on field). I honestly do not know if it is still standing, it was in pretty bad shape the last time I was there, in the early '80s. Let me know if you are making your way to this area.
#384 Good morning, Eric. Your video was up lifting during these worry some times. The two Casino River Boats were ex-cargo passenger vessels that were lucky and ended their careers as gambling vessels. My expert advice is to continue traveling (As fuel is cheap, now!), just use "The Detached-Contact Method" in your travels and carry plenty of hand sanitizer.
Listen up people! No person who is walking around outside amongst nature is hurting anyone. Yeah Eric. There are people actually walking down the sidewalk alone with a mask on. Somehow they do not understand that humans need to be out in nature and in the sunshine going for a walk for the purpose of breathing the fresh air. It is just a good idea to give each other some physical distance when passing or saying hello.
The word "quarantine" comes from (I think) the Greek, meaning 40 days. If everyone would self-quarantine for 6 weeks, this pandemic would be over. Yep, snorting coffee is not a good idea! 😄
Ask the families of the 42 thousand people who have died of Covid-19 in the US, and I reckon they'll give you the same reaction as your medical-connected family members. And on a lighter note: you really should visit the UK or other European country, Eric. The history over here is everywhere - you'd love it!
I couldn’t watch this earlier because I had to order my Claritin, can you believe. You have my sympathies for suffering with allergies! It’s a rough time of year here in Illinois.🤧 I loved the editing and drone work, as always, & that little dose of Jax also made my day a little brighter. Thanks!😻🐾🐈👍🏻
Who says you cant go out for a walk? We all need a little fresh air and sunny shine. Keep doing your thing my friend, just social distance, that is the key, more than a face mask.
I was hoping you would go there. There is a whispering bench. Where one can stand or sit on one side, and hear what people are saying at the far end whispering. I have only read about it. Next timeI go cross country, I'll make a stop to check it out. 😁
I plan on going nomadic this fall. What I will do is work a 1/3 of the year by working sugar beet season then doing Amazon temp work for the holidays. Should get me about 8500-9000. I only need about 8400 a year.
Happy 420 Eric. When you went over that hill the first time, and it scared you.....I said to myself....that would of scared the crap out of me if I was high. All of a sudden, no road. lol
When the first person died in my city it was devastating. Now over 20 makes it very devastating.

I've heard of snorting coke before but never coffee! lol
You went off camera, and Jax' was eye balling the Jax-daniels!
Much of Alton was built from the stones from a prison where soldiers were tortured. The stones carried the energies from the tortured. Love to visit Alton. Live north near the Illinois capital. Enjoy !!!
You should take the drone to the windows so we can peek in if possible. That would be so cool. I love spooky stuff.
I hope to be able to visit around there too one day..and its okay to go out and exercise and see cool things.🤗🤗🤗 we love it
*Awesome video, Eric!*
Love the sight and sound of that *Mustang!*

Stay safe.
Happy 10th Birthday, sweet Jax! 🥰
See that’s what you get for putting your nose where it doesn’t belong! 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
I liked the coffee snort!
I'm glad you're out and about gives us all a chance to see stuff we can't see and you're not doing anything wrong you're doing it right please keep it up look forward to the next episode
Jax says “Dad will be right back he has coffee up his nose” 😹😹😹😹. Love the drone footage.
GOOD MORNING BEAST NOMADIC FANTASTIC ERIC JAX CZcams VIDEO 🐈🐈
Trying crack for the first time: 0:04
#384 Good morning, Eric.
Mixed feelings Eric...I knew three folks that passed, so far.
The drone footage of the cemetery monument was fantastic. One of your best to date.
4/21/2020: Happy Birthday, Jax.
Going to miss Peggy. That black and white drone footage of 'haunted house' was great. Be safe out there.
Cemeteries and haunted stuff give me the creeps too, day or night!
Snorting one teaspoon of caffeine powder is comparable to chugging 20 cans of soda or 30 cups of coffee in one sitting.
Eddie B Suuuuuure 😆
You should have put that ghost going behind you when you were in front of the haunted mansion. 😂
Isn't Jax's birthday today? Well, if not, I'm wishing Catman Jax a happy birthday anyway! Love you Jax! ❤🎂🎈🎉
Mary G You kept track of Jax’s B-day?! 🤯
Big feet, big shoes......stop it🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ask the families of the 42 thousand people who have died of Covid-19 in the US, and I reckon they'll give you the same reaction as your medical-connected family members.
And on a lighter note: you really should visit the UK or other European country, Eric. The history over here is everywhere - you'd love it!
Come to Oklahoma, our state parks are still open for RV camping. We go to Osage Hills State Park outside of Bartlesville, OK.
I couldn’t watch this earlier because I had to order my Claritin, can you believe. You have my sympathies for suffering with allergies! It’s a rough time of year here in Illinois.🤧
I loved the editing and drone work, as always, & that little dose of Jax also made my day a little brighter. Thanks!😻🐾🐈👍🏻
Who says you cant go out for a walk? We all need a little fresh air and sunny shine. Keep doing your thing my friend, just social distance, that is the key, more than a face mask.
I have gone for a walk here in IL several times by myself. It's all good!
Stay safe Eric, it's not the flue. Good video, thanks. 👍😎
Nothing wrong with taking a nice leisurely walk with you. It’s allowed have a great time
OMG...the flying ghost...LOL. You're funny!
Poor Jax man - he was so confused. He looked at the coffee can and just didn't get what happened.
Eric keep doing what you are doing once a week I find a park that is open and take my grandchildren for a hike. Stay safe !!
Congratulations on 211,000 subscribers!
The people I know...are going to ' open' this Country..as Benjamin Franklin stated " Those that give up their freedoms for safety...deserve neither!"
That was nice seeing some more highlights of Alton. I like that statue in the cemetery. Safe travels Eric!
I was hoping you would go there. There is a whispering bench. Where one can stand or sit on one side, and hear what people are saying at the far end whispering.
I have only read about it. Next timeI go cross country, I'll make a stop to check it out. 😁
Hey Eric, I was curious how you started your nomadic life without having CZcams to support your expenses?
It is in his old videos, basically lived on a loan and ramen
I plan on going nomadic this fall. What I will do is work a 1/3 of the year by working sugar beet season then doing Amazon temp work for the holidays. Should get me about 8500-9000. I only need about 8400 a year.
Happy 420 Eric. When you went over that hill the first time, and it scared you.....I said to myself....that would of scared the crap out of me if I was high. All of a sudden, no road. lol
