What a lovely video with humour, generosity and spirit despite Blackpool's predicament. Refreshing to see fans fully behind their club when it's struggling, not the stupid counterproductive booing that you often get with a struggling side. Very unfortunate to be plagued with so many injuries, as a Hatter I've seen that happen to Luton when we've been at the foot of the table and it's tough to fight back. I hope Blackpool can somehow avoid relegation.

From a Luton fan - I thought for the first half you looked very solid and caused us some problems at times. Just the low confidence and the bad timing of the equaliser really got you down and you struggled to recover. With that said I think if you manage to play like the first 45 for the rest of the season and get some confidence again you should hopefully survive relegation. Lovely people. Lovely vlog. Yep the goal on halftime destroyed us we see it week in week out now a team scores against us and we collapse it's heartbreaking to see how the confidence has drained out of the team especially since Mick McCarthy stepped in. Hopefully we can put some performances together like that 1st half as you say but Dobbie has one heck of a job to turn it around. If we lose to Wigan we haven't got a prayer

We have only just got our club back in our lives after the 5 year boycott so for most Blackpool fans we are simply happy to be watching football again no matter what division. This season has been a total disaster and has been quite upsetting mentally but it is still great to be back supporting the team no matter what 🙂👍🏻
You can tell on the video we were all a bit more excited with Mick McCarthy walking and yes we were doing well until we gave a stupid freekick away I just knew it and when it went in, the absolute last kick of the half I genuinely feared the worst. All the best for the play-offs

Yes indeed it was thorntonovski we kind of knew it. We have seen it so many times this season - the momentum shift and we feared the worst deep down. We cannot score from corners, we cannot defend corners so if you take good corners it played out exactly as it should. Best of luck in the playoffs we always stick up for the smaller clubs and the underdogs and we have a huge desire to see you make the PL struggle with whatever they are going to have to struggle with to show your games (it is going to be brilliant!! 🤣😂) but it will change you forever if you don't spend the money

I'm glad you enjoyed it, yeah everything from the Bear Club which has to be one of the best jazz clubs in the UK, to eating in the Engine and being invited into the Shisha bar after the meal (I don't smoke so it looked a bit terrifying but I did fancy trying it just thought I might be seeing flying baby elephants or something? If I did). The ground safety officer set the whole tone to the weekend he was wonderful and the colourful parade with the cups of tea on the way in what's not to like? And this year we felt really looked after and welcomed and that isn't always the case as you may well know if you travel away. Birmingham in particular was absolutely horrific last season we are not looking forward to going back but it should be a bit warmer hopefully🙏

We are overachieving with the budget and squad, mid table is par for Preston. We have beaten all the bottom teams but now is when it gets difficult.
Lee you were right to call out bfc on ticket prices you shouldn’t have apologised to them. What neutral is going to spend £30-40 on watching Blackpool? It’s a disgrace. They would rather have empty seats than lower the prices to get more people in. It’s a disgrace.
The problem was I said £30 and they were £20 but I didn't know they were £20 and if I didn't know then they are clearly not getting the message out 😕 If I had have known my argument would have still been pretty similar. It's too late to be offering on deals on tickets we are going down. The time to get bums on seats for the whole season is to set your prices at an affordable level at the start of the season so the place is as close to a sell out all season. Imagine if they had have sold every seat plus the North East of the east so those tickets couldn't be sold to the away fans for the whole of the season. They had membership deals but clealy ain't nobody got time for that! The pricing structure was wrong wrong and dare I say it BLOODY WRONG and if they try and charge anything like that next season we will be lucky to sell 5K season tickets
Lee thanks to you and Jane for persevering during a hard season. Only advice I can give is keep the faith I have followed Notts County since the 60's once you pin your flag to the mast the roller-coaster starts. It would have been easier to cross the Trent but the attachment would never have been the same. Regroup in Division One get the situation stabilised if not you could end up like us relying on the playoffs to get back into the FL despite only losing 3 games all season.
Hi Russ just like many football fans we have watched 'Welcome to Wrexham' so we are watching the conference very closely. I know if its through the playoffs if its you or them I can't see either of you getting beat and if you don't get automatic? No there isn't any rules no matter what people think unless you are live streaming the game or recording all of it which would be pointless! It is something we have discussed for a long time and to be honest it is liberating. LeeCharlesTV is not about Blackpool FC it is about our journey as fans, it is about taking people along with us, it is about what the fan experience is like, it is about the pain, the glory, the agony of being a supporter of your local team, it is about meeting fans of both clubs. The success of this channel cannot rely on Blackpool Football Club winning games and has to appeal to people who enjoy watching the joy and hell of supporting a local team (who could be any team the fact ours is Blackpool FC shouldn't matter) Hopefully if we attract fans that watch it because they enjoy the story that I work so hard to tell, football fans basically from anywhere? that couldn't care if Blackpool FC win or lose but care because they are invested in you the fans and me and Jane and want us (Blackpool fans) to WIN. It would be lovely if thousands, tens of thousands? became fans of Blackpool as their 2nd team through watching this channel (that's my dream) Then I will have the channel I want and will allow me to tell the story I want to tell. No thanks for asking the question we may do a video on the change and why we have done it as I am sure many will be thinking why the shift? It simply is a shift we had to make to try and make it grow beyond the scope of Blackpool FC I suppose the simplest way to explain it is if we managed to get every Blackpool FC fan in the world to subscribe there might be somewhere between 50 - 100K? but contrast that with how many football fans there are in the world that we can try to convert to the book of 'Blackpool is my favourite 2nd team' 😂🤣
Yes so many football fans have great personal memories of Blackpool, and have a spot for the town, I remember when Pool was in the prem, my mates who were Arsenal and Liverpool fans, they said that Blackpool were their “2nd team” , and were genuinely sad to see us get relegated from the Prem, you might be onto something 👍⚽️

Well Lee, Does'nt look like i will be seeing you at The Riverside next season which is really sad with me being ill this year with mental health issues but i watched Oxford v Sheff Wed at easter in league 1 & its not a bad league at all with still some big names in it of teams with past glory days like Ipswich & Portsmouth so going down might not be too bad. Boro are trying our best to blow even reaching the play offs now so we will still likely be in the championship when you get promoted next season so we could meet up in season 24/25. We went down in 1976 and didn't get back up til 2006! Hi Kane if it was before the fan boycott 2014 - 2019 Jane would definitely have been there because she had been to every game home/away/cup and pre-season matches including the trip to Latvia for 14 years straight. I used to go to 1 or 2 away games but mainly I just attended home games as I have been a season ticket holder since mum and dad bought me my first one for my 18th birthday.
Until a new owner injects lots of money into the club the Pool will never get back to the top flight where they belong. I remember on the Kop in early 1960s watching the Pool beating several top clubs..it’s now all down to who has the most cash to spend..our fans deserve much better than this ..very soon too!!!

watched Dobbie's post match interview and he says that he is "proud of the boys" despite getting beaten again. Well I'm not. For a start they are not "boys" but professional footballers who are being paid thousands of pounds a week, yet players like Husband cannot even do the basics and he is one of the senior players. Sorry Lee, but what is there to be proud of?? We are about to be relegated and I'm not one to be giving the interim manager a hard time but this was still a shit show. They invited Luton to attack by their ridiculously poor mindset which kept them camped in their own half for large swathes of the match. No disrespect to Luton but they are no world beaters, irrespective of their league position and so to state that you are "proud" to have overseen yet another defeat is lamentable.

Yes indeed it was thorntonovski we kind of knew it. We have seen it so many times this season - the momentum shift and we feared the worst deep down. We cannot score from corners, we cannot defend corners so if you take good corners it played out exactly as it should. Best of luck in the playoffs we always stick up for the smaller clubs and the underdogs and we have a huge desire to see you make the PL struggle with whatever they are going to have to struggle with to show your games (it is going to be brilliant!! 🤣😂) but it will change you forever if you don't spend the money

Just stumbled across your vlog and found it most refreshing. Not the usual well worn criticisms of our ageing stadium. Hopefully our new ground is finally on the horizon, albeit a distant horizon!
Wishing you all the best for the remainder of the season and all being well, a happy ending; however unlikely that may seem at the moment. Our journey to the depths of despair and back, have been well documented. Hopefully should you drop into League 1, you'll bounce back quickly. Although it's a tough division to escape from, as plenty of 'Big' clubs will attest to.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, yeah everything from the Bear Club which has to be one of the best jazz clubs in the UK, to eating in the Engine and being invited into the Shisha bar after the meal (I don't smoke so it looked a bit terrifying but I did fancy trying it just thought I might be seeing flying baby elephants or something? If I did).
The ground safety officer set the whole tone to the weekend he was wonderful and the colourful parade with the cups of tea on the way in what's not to like?
And this year we felt really looked after and welcomed and that isn't always the case as you may well know if you travel away. Birmingham in particular was absolutely horrific last season we are not looking forward to going back but it should be a bit warmer hopefully🙏

@@LeeCharlesTV it's come from nowhere to be honest. Two months ago we just wanted to get to 50 points and call it quits as most of the season has been dire, especially at home. We are overachieving with the budget and squad, mid table is par for Preston.
We have beaten all the bottom teams but now is when it gets difficult.
Well you seem to be gathering momentum and sometimes that can take you places you never thought you could go in your wildest dreams 😉

Lee you were right to call out bfc on ticket prices you shouldn’t have apologised to them. What neutral is going to spend £30-40 on watching Blackpool? It’s a disgrace. They would rather have empty seats than lower the prices to get more people in. It’s a disgrace.
The problem was I said £30 and they were £20 but I didn't know they were £20 and if I didn't know then they are clearly not getting the message out 😕
If I had have known my argument would have still been pretty similar. It's too late to be offering on deals on tickets we are going down. The time to get bums on seats for the whole season is to set your prices at an affordable level at the start of the season so the place is as close to a sell out all season.
Imagine if they had have sold every seat plus the North East of the east so those tickets couldn't be sold to the away fans for the whole of the season.
They had membership deals but clealy ain't nobody got time for that!
The pricing structure was wrong wrong and dare I say it BLOODY WRONG and if they try and charge anything like that next season we will be lucky to sell 5K season tickets
Lee thanks to you and Jane for persevering during a hard season. Only advice I can give is keep the faith I have followed Notts County since the 60's once you pin your flag to the mast the roller-coaster starts. It would have been easier to cross the Trent but the attachment would never have been the same. Regroup in Division One get the situation stabilised if not you could end up like us relying on the playoffs to get back into the FL despite only losing 3 games all season.
Hi Russ just like many football fans we have watched 'Welcome to Wrexham' so we are watching the conference very closely. I know if its through the playoffs if its you or them I can't see either of you getting beat and if you don't get automatic? Wembley is the GLORY way (we know only too well 🙂) I look forward to seeing you back in next season 🙂👍🏻

Nothing is guaranteed you may get up and stay up we look like we are going down (bar a miracle) and we fear a double drop more than a swift return unfortunately unless there is a major mindset switch at the top to invest in the strength of our squad and its looking abundantly clear that the business model of searching the land for freebies and kids on loan is our masterplan 😕

No there isn't any rules no matter what people think unless you are live streaming the game or recording all of it which would be pointless! It is something we have discussed for a long time and to be honest it is liberating.
LeeCharlesTV is not about Blackpool FC it is about our journey as fans, it is about taking people along with us, it is about what the fan experience is like, it is about the pain, the glory, the agony of being a supporter of your local team, it is about meeting fans of both clubs.
The success of this channel cannot rely on Blackpool Football Club winning games and has to appeal to people who enjoy watching the joy and hell of supporting a local team (who could be any team the fact ours is Blackpool FC shouldn't matter)
Hopefully if we attract fans that watch it because they enjoy the story that I work so hard to tell, football fans basically from anywhere? that couldn't care if Blackpool FC win or lose but care because they are invested in you the fans and me and Jane and want us (Blackpool fans) to WIN. It would be lovely if thousands, tens of thousands? became fans of Blackpool as their 2nd team through watching this channel (that's my dream)

No thanks for asking the question we may do a video on the change and why we have done it as I am sure many will be thinking why the shift? It simply is a shift we had to make to try and make it grow beyond the scope of Blackpool FC
I suppose the simplest way to explain it is if we managed to get every Blackpool FC fan in the world to subscribe there might be somewhere between 50 - 100K? but contrast that with how many football fans there are in the world that we can try to convert to the book of 'Blackpool is my favourite 2nd team' 😂🤣
Yes so many football fans have great personal memories of Blackpool, and have a spot for the town, I remember when Pool was in the prem, my mates who were Arsenal and Liverpool fans, they said that Blackpool were their “2nd team” , and were genuinely sad to see us get relegated from the Prem, you might be onto something 👍⚽️

Well Lee, Does'nt look like i will be seeing you at The Riverside next season which is really sad with me being ill this year with mental health issues but i watched Oxford v Sheff Wed at easter in league 1 & its not a bad league at all with still some big names in it of teams with past glory days like Ipswich & Portsmouth so going down might not be too bad. Boro are trying our best to blow even reaching the play offs now so we will still likely be in the championship when you get promoted next season so we could meet up in season 24/25. If you keep the nucleus of your squad the big names of the past hold no fears for you as you shouldnt be going down anyway. You have just badly lost your way & made some hopeless manager appts. I know what you're saying but I think people forget why Grimshaw was dropped? I honestly have less faith in him than I do in Maxwell and sadly the fans abuse of Maxwell is a disgrace. That's not what Blackpool was about we were a really special bunch of fans that roared our team on to achieve incredible things despite the worse owners EVER in football.

Hi Kane if it was before the fan boycott 2014 - 2019 Jane would definitely have been there because she had been to every game home/away/cup and pre-season matches including the trip to Latvia for 14 years straight. I used to go to 1 or 2 away games but mainly I just attended home games as I have been a season ticket holder since mum and dad bought me my first one for my 18th birthday.
You just know it’s got that bad when I’m thinking we should put Lyons up front as centre forward…🤷♂️

Until a new owner injects lots of money into the club the Pool will never get back to the top flight where they belong. I remember on the Kop in early 1960s watching the Pool beating several top clubs..it’s now all down to who has the most cash to spend..our fans deserve much better than this ..very soon too!!!

We thought it was only fair. We helped you win the play off semi-final by committing suicide, so we felt helping you again to change division was the right thing to do. Taken a while but finally got satisfaction.
We weren't going at that time we were on a fan Boycott that team that beat you then was simply known to Blackpool fans as Oyston FC not Blackpool FC
watched Dobbie's post match interview and he says that he is "proud of the boys" despite getting beaten again. Well I'm not. For a start they are not "boys" but professional footballers who are being paid thousands of pounds a week, yet players like Husband cannot even do the basics and he is one of the senior players. Sorry Lee, but what is there to be proud of?? We are about to be relegated and I'm not one to be giving the interim manager a hard time but this was still a shit show. They invited Luton to attack by their ridiculously poor mindset which kept them camped in their own half for large swathes of the match. No disrespect to Luton but they are no world beaters, irrespective of their league position and so to state that you are "proud" to have overseen yet another defeat is lamentable.
