When the leitmotif from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex started up and it played the translated Morse Code, I got goosebumps. Gloryhammer is my favorite D&D campaign xD

Huh! Interesting. They're really leaning into the world-building. Kinda dig the way they open it like a DM opening up a campaign and laying out the setting.
With that opening, it really is kinda nice to see what Dundee looks like when it's not being destroyed by undead unicorns, chaos wizards, or an entire army of horrifying fecal zombies.

So, the clone setup by the OG Zargothrax showed up to an alternate reality of the OG Dundee (Medieval Times) and brought himself 800 kilotons of nuclear justice with him.
He probably screamed "Parry this you medieval paesant" before hurling a nuke at Angus.
Zargothrax really just said 'Fuck it, unleash the nukes!"
So that's what Ralathor got the idea in Fires of Ancient Cosmic Destiny.

I'm pretty sure Zargothrax could have conjured a spell to similar effect, but it was more amusing to just use a timed atom bomb instead and watch everyone's reactions to the countdown to annihilation. Facetanking the blast to him would be nothing as he's survived planetary destruction before.

Zargothrax was defeated by Angus XIII but before he died he awakened an Alpha-1 clone in the time of Angus II. So now we're back to right after the first album.

Seems like we follow the same structure. Dundee is royally zargothraxed in the first song and through the album Angus [insert number here] gains power, artifacts and mighty warriors to get revenge in the last track. The only question is how Hootsman is going to save the day this time? (We already have Deus Ex Hootsman in the first album, detonation of nuclear heart in the second album and (literally) Deus ex Hootsman in the third album)

As someone who got introduced to Gloryhammer by this song, I'm gonna say that it's a great introduction. Love how it creates the expectation of a medieval RPG metal song and then turns 180 into a freakin' scifi.
And since I was raised on Might & Magic games which mixed scifi and fantasy in a similar fashion, I am absolutely in love. Currently listening to the entire album for a 2nd day already, and diving into their other work. Why didn't I know about them before?!
