I have a full metal airsoft gun at home that I use as a sort of fidget toy and it's just so satisfying to rack it or just pretend reload it whenever I'm just doing something.
On top of all the research that goes into the different parts that make up the firearms - very impressive. Certainly more than most american animators put into their work
@@amuroray9115 It depends tho, because a lot of 70s, 80s and 90s jpn animators were very knowledgeable about guns and weaponry in general, especially the late 80s, 90s and early 2000s "realistic animators" like Mitsuo Iso and Hiroyuki Okiura

@@BigIgloo why is that the case. It's not even just guns. You see stuff that only professionals would notice and in the grand scheme of things is completely unnecessary, while American stuff is bad to the point that idiots cringe. Is it a cultural thing?
When it comes to gun focused scenes it has me in awe at how they're able to animate all those intricate parts and precise movements so realistically. Most times I think it's gotta be rotoscoped, but nope it isn't they just have mad skills.
That’s why it takes a long time and the Smooth reload animation is only few seconds: a lot of frames and hard work are needed for that short period of smooth animation
This makes you wonder about seeing a John Wick anime. Lol. Also, *Spriggan* is underrated. The plot is like some busted-up mix of Akira mixed with Ghost in the Shell, but the animation and fight scenes are top notch from the selection of sci-fi 90’s. I respect all animators. It’s a very tough job. One that many take for granted and don’t understand fully understand how hard it is. I even admire animators who work on things I don’t like. It’s a thankless art form.

別に銃に興味ないけど、こういう細かく調べて描いたであろうアニメーションにはテンション上がる。特に攻殻。

こう言う銃をカチャカチャやるシーン観てると、アニメじゃ無いんだが思い出すのが、ジャッキーの映画で互いに銃を早組みして出来た方が相手を撃つって勝負で、序盤にジャッキーが負けて相棒を失って、終盤で再度同じ勝負をするんだけど、その時にジャッキーが取った手段が
マガジンを無視して弾倉?に直に一発入れてしまうって天才過ぎる発想で勝つってのがマジで格好良かったわ。
あ、勿論ジャッキーは撃たないけどね?
しかし、リアル作画のアニメって銃とか機械の作画は本当に凄いよね、手描きなら尚更驚愕だよ。
