    I bought mine 5 years ago for 900.00 at tractor supply, now there selling for over 1500.00. They are a real workhorse.

    Andrew makes artisan firewood the kind you burn when you are serving fine wine and eating cheese. Just getting Andrew. Love you. Keep up the good work 👍🤪

    I have the same splitter. Picked it up a few years ago $200 off Black Friday sale. I think I got it for $899 now they are $1500. Great splinter though!

    Great splitter for $999. I'm not sure at the current price of $1549 in my area. Same engine and other components. That's not inflation. That is Tractor Supply losing their minds!!

    That log splitter works great. I'll have to get a video next time we use ours and send it to you. My grandpa home built it in 1985 with an old wore out lawnmover, an old I-beam and a cadilac axle.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Před rokem

      Those are the best kind!

  • @jonathangreenawalt5724

    A little project for ya. I saw that it took a few pulls to start the log splitter. How about remove the pull cord and install a hex nut on a one way sprag clutch (as to not twist your arm when started) to be able to utilize a power drill as an electric starter lol.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Před rokem +1

      Well typically it's a two pull engine. If I start seeing that many pulls the carb is getting a full rebuild.

    A little constructive criticism if you get a 36 inch wood grabber for the small pieces it’s got a handle on it and a grip at the bottom I use one all over the house and on my work truck keeps you from bending over constantly so you can just reach into those totes without bending over. they sell them on Amazon I bought a friend of mine one so she doesn’t have to get out of her side-by-side to pick up Trash and Wood and she loves it.

    Chopped a lot of wood in my life and I can say without a doubt, even with a splitter, its a ton of work. My lumber starts screamin just watchin all that. Eventually it started causin lost time at work so became more affordable just to buy the already wood or just fire up the furnace lol.

    I work at tractor now for about 6 years, this little machine is a great workhorse. Very little come backs and most of them were owner problems and not the splitter, you should check out the bigger units.

    I wish I had not bought my Countyline 25-ton splitter, but it's too late now and I guess I'm stuck with it. I HATE the design of the beam that the wedge slides on. My old splitter (a 40-year-old Yard Machine) had a beam with a simple flat surface, easy to wipe off and keep clean. The new Countyline has a (whatever you call it) groove that the wedge rides in -- a perfect trap to catch wood chips and splinters that needss constant cleaning (I finally had to set up my air compressor next to it so as to blow everything clean several times a work session.) Today I actually got a fat wood chip crammed in beside the wedge and had to get my pry bar to free it. Stupid stupid design.

    55 degrees is cold for Florida right?

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  Před rokem

      For a high, I don't consider it cold until low 30s and 20s. About a week and a half ago we hit 19 with single digit wind chills, then 4 more days in the mid to low 20s.
