Thanks for this, very useful for my Midget. I insulated the fuel line, redirected it out of line-of-sight of the exhaust manifold so the fuel line wasn't heating up, but need to add the spacer, heat shield, and new longer studs. Fresh air blowing on the bowls, how did you do that, just run a duct from the grille?

I did run a duct from the grill but that only brings in fresh outside air while the car is moving. My problem was when I park on hot asphalt and run into a store for 10 or 15 minutes the heat from the exhaust manifold would continue to cook the fuel in the float bowl and the car would be flooded when I came back out to start it. So I placed a small fan (from a computer) in the opening of the duct at the grill and flip a switch (under the dash) to turn it on so fresh outside air continues to cool the float bowl while I am away for a while. And like I said I only had the problem with the carb flooding on days in the 90s and parked on even hotter black top. Anyway seems to have made a big improvement. I will take a photo of the duct work and try to post it here.

@@Colofry nice! Excellent idea. I have a bunch of fans laying around too, won't cost hardly anything to implement.

@@mundanestuff I took a picture of the fresh air duct yesterday. But don't know how to attach it here. Can you send me an email address so I can send you two pictures?
