    This is another educational screen printing video about Ranar presses. If you have purchased a Ranar press from Catspit Productions or Ranar Manufacturing in El Segundo California, you may want to check out this video for tips on how to set up your press. In this tutorial video I cover leveling the base of the press along with leveling the pallet arms. Then we take a look at how to properly set the pallet to the pallet arm. After some initial set up adjustments are made you can then look at the printing set up with off contact and screen angle. In the video I show you how to set these adjustments on the Elite Series II screen printing press. It will be very similar for the Vista Series II presses as well. I also show you how to loosen the micro registration in the event that it is a bit tight from the factory. This is an awesome video to watch prior to setting up and working with your new or used Ranar press. Enjoy and thanks for watching!

    You're my favorite educator in the field of screen printing. You do a great job explaining every step. Many other only educators give you B and C and assume one knows A. Well, novices like me don't know A, making understanding the full spectrum of information difficult and frustrating to comprehend. Thank you for addressing all of my questions, and doing so in a comprehensive way that leaves no printing stones unturned.

      You're very welcome and thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words here and I'm happy to know my video work can help out so much. Sometimes I often get flack for my repetition and "too much information" details but it seems to work best for educational purposes ;) Thanks for watching! I have a 4 color 4 station Ranar and need help setting up the pallets. I would of thought centering the bracket was the correct way but the single knob it creates an offset and not sure how to deal with this. Mind you I am an amateur at this whole business but I am learning daily

      I'm not sure what you are referring to exactly. If you bought the press from me, just give me a call and I'll help out. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  Před 6 lety +1

      You would need to use high UV output bulbs like are in our exposure units. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

    How do you set up off contact if you're doing multiple colors? I have brand new elite series 8x4.

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  Před 6 lety +1

      It's a matter of leveling the entire press including pallet arms. You may need to use the adjustment levelers for side to side when you put the pallet arms on. If you bought this from Ranar, call Ranar. if you bought it from Catspit, call me ;) Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

    I have the vista, (which I bought from you) but it seems that the screen sometimes tilts to the left side. In other words, the off contact is not even, one side has more than the other.
    Also, one of my color holder arms moves sideways and is hard to use it in multi color prints. Any tips?

    • @CatspitProductions
      @CatspitProductions  Před 6 lety +1

      Hello Gabriel. Yes, my best tip is to call me for support. I'll need to know a bit more to help out but I give a lifetime guarantee on the press so give me a call so I can help out. If you need any parts I'll send them to you free of charge. It may just need an adjustment but if you can call and be more detailed we can get you rolling again. Thanks for watching! Give me a call if you need help. Especially if I sold you the press ;) Sometimes it's a matter of initial set up and making sure everything is at "zero" point." Thanks for watching. Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - catspitscreenprintsupply.com/

      It's possible with prepaid equipment orders. You would have to pay by direct bank to bank transfer before the items ship. Taxes, customs, duties or other port fees on your end would be your responsibility. Just email me for a quote. Thanks for watching! I've watched several of your vids regarding setup and haven't heard you reference distance for off contact. I see mine up with common sense before i knew "off contact" was a standard, I'll just see how a test print (first print) works out. Maybe for your other viewers/newbies, you could answer that here instead of redirecting. I know the goal is #of views but impatient people like me get turned off by that concept. Thanks for the videos all the same! God Bless!

      @@sirridok I know for a fact I do mention that. No click bait intended. I have been making screen printing videos for 10 years so there are videos that would cover this. Also if you skip around in the video you will miss details. This video is specifically about Ranar presses so I'm not sure if we discussed ideal settings here but it's about 1/16th on an inch off the shirt when it's loaded on the pallet. I'm more about info than views. My videos are often simple and full of details. Here are a couple of my videos that come up when you search them for off contact.

      This one should specifically mention the distance.
