St Croix has a few off can be corners which makes it a bit more tricky to get this understeery car into the apex’s
All I would say for this one is, if PD is going to make life hard for the players, perhaps they should mandate the race in Comfort Hard tyres instead. This track isn't bad at all, and I believe the car itself is not too bad either, but the tyres. Anyway I will just stop at silver this time...

@@PM10Racing Now that I have tried to drive without assist at Nurburgring, I came to the idea to switch off ASM for this Online TT and it indeed saved me less then 0.1 sec. As this OTT is so annoyingly hard to drive, I aim to only keep myself within the top 10% ranking and wait for the next one.
As to the Alsace OTT that is currently ongoing, it occurred once again to me that the fastest car which nearly 100% of the fastest players are using isn't the fastest car for me. Currently sits on a provisional gold time with a small breathing space using a 4WD Alfa Romeo. Hope both the gold at Alsace and the top 10% at St. Croix could remain
@@stormmeansnowork the Lambo is really understeery both on throttle and braking (probably the crappy tyres) so it’s much harder to hit the apexs and get a smooth lap.
The Alsace one is a bit of a joke really, I used the Mazda 3 to get a good time but have no intentions of doing a lap guide on such a weird little track.

it hard, using controler is hard , if i had steering wheel i could place the car at more speed at the apex, hard to feel the grip it just hard, i want to steer or overshoot or undershoot i cant make corrections in this car also the car wants to understeer so bad when i apply any throttle is like im driving a FF car and i mostly win gold in time trials and im A S driver is hard to do it right this car is jusr awful to drive on the controller
It’s really understeery on a wheel mate so can’t imagine how hard it is with a controller.
At least with a wheel it’s a bit easier to trail brake and get some rotation on corner entry.
There is a sweet spot of braking pressure where you can get the car to rotate on corner entry but it’s hard to constantly hit it.

@@PM10Racing i think for the sake of mental health i will feel happy to get 1Mcr. , i always have the problem steering i may try using the default steering sensitivity and do few more runs to see if helps but this is bad
@@Ricardo29j the problem with this TT is that the tyres slip angle is very narrow.
If you turn the steering wheel too much you get loads of understeer.
Too much trail braking you get loads of understeer.
If you 100% brake not in a straight line you can’t get the car stopped.
Certainly a tricky one.
I cant stand the gt vision cars. All that development time polyphony has spent on them i much rather they spend on making and extra track from the old gt games or something. This time trial was a pain...im at 2:00.057 in vr and can only hope its enough. I never want to drive a gt vision car again 😂
Mate I feel your frustration and I agree with you. I think we discussed this last time but I think they should prioritise more emphasis on new tracks (either reworked or new) along with more upto date GT cars instead of a raft of VGT cars which resemble nothing from the real world.
I also wish they would do something about the downshift abuse you can do with these cars for extra stopping power. They should put some downshift protector (like in ACC and other sims) so you can’t just smash down the gears. Really don’t like that.
Can I also ask, is VR worth the investment? I’m going back and forth on it and can’t bring myself to pull the trigger.

@@PM10Racing Well Ive been into vr since psvr1 so im biased 😄. You will most likely suffer from motion sickness if you decide to get one. Most people do. But it is possible to get over it. The headset is expensive but the upside is many of the games are cheaper than flat screen games. But they are also shorter. As for gt7 it is absolutely amazing. In my opinion it makes every single car more fun to drive. Like driving the Toyota minivan or the ambulance was so much more fun because you get to experience sitting higher up as you would in real life. And driving the Porsche 919 hybrid in the recent Road Atlanta time trial is so cool with its slightly claustrophobic cockpit 😄. Viewing the cars in the vr view mode is also so cool. Had to let my 72yo father try it 😄. So in my opinion it is worth it. I personally drive better in vr but i think the fastest times will always be in flat screen.

It’s one of those things I want to try but no one I know has one and I don’t want to spend the thick end of £500 on something I might not like.
I can imagine the feeling of immersion on GT7 is just unreal though.

Hate this car. Pretty much like all VGT cars - terrible.
Not a big fan of VGT cars myself. Not sure why they put them in the game when surely it would be just as much work to put a modern GT4 or GT3 car in.
Unfortunately that’s what this challenge requires so we have to adapt to it the best we can.
Also i don’t understand the logic of Sports Soft tyres on a car which can do 340kph !!
