I share some monoprinting tips using a gel printing plate and distress oxide inks. There is many different ways and techniques you can do with the gel plate. I am showing some easy beginner techniques.

Not sure why I didn't try this before! But Distress OX + Gelli Plate makes beautiful backgrounds -- so much easier than Acrylic Paints -- dries instantly and minimal cleanup ! awesome !!

its so much fun to mess about with the gel plate & I DO make a mess, especially with paint so this is a lot less clean up
I used my gel plate for the first time after your last video. It was awesome.
Just want to say I love this and the earlier video using gelli plate and DOI. Most use them for mixed media journaling so I love that this is more for cardmaking which is what I’m more interested in
I have to get my Gel Plates out and use them. Sometimes you forget what you have, at least I do. Thank you for showing them again:-)

I love distress oxides on the gel plate - you can get such subtle colours & as you said, you get so many prints from the same ink. I like playing with hand cut masks to get a less uniform pattern. Sometimes you can get an extra print from the inky stencil if you put it between 2 sheets of card or paper & run it through your die cut machine. Just thinking - why have I never added the embossing mat? Thanks for sharing.

Hello. This is just cheap cardstock from walmart. You can use tissue paper and printer paper too. Thanks for watching.
