Hey guys, I try to watch as many of your videos as I can - the gathering and pickling or canning of your crops reminds me of home when I was young back in the 70's we were dirt poor but would always go out in the English countryside looking for plums and apples and Blackberries to preserve, for us it was a necessity and though we were very poor I remember those times as happy and very precious. I am a seamstress working from home with a disabled son who is 23 and at the end of a very long day when my nerves are a little frayed and I am exhausted I love watching your videos and relaxing - it transports me back to that time long ago when my mum and older sister were still with us, when summers were long and busy and full of preserves and jams and chutneys and pickles. I just wanted to thank you both for the joy and peace you bring into my world, you are wonderful and just a click away. Love and best wishes to you all from South Gloucestershire, England.
@ 4:47 I got tickled when you said Dolly, who is being raised for meat, is "going to Freezer Camp" over the winter. Much respect to y'all for treating all your animals with love, consideration, and respect as long as they live.
Kevin and Sarah always be aware that bulls may appear as a pet, but their instinct is to kill. They protect the cows, You never know when their animal instinct will show up. Even cows can attack sometimes, don't take your dogs in the pasture cows feel that dogs is a threat to them. Just think about a rooster how aggressive they are at times. There's times they shy, but you never know when they will attack. Just be aware. Happy farming, God bless
Kevin and Sarah, of all the CZcams channels I watch, and there are many, you two are hands down THE MOST RESPONSIBLE AND CARING livestock owners out there. I really appreciate the way you prepare for, respect, and care for your animals. You are the BEST! God Bless.
I was thinking the same thing. Even tho some go to the freezer or are sold, the are all treated humanely… is that the right word 🤔😵💫. I hate to see animals with no shelter at all. Even in the wild they seek shelter if it’s around. You have my respect for your respect!!! 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
@ND PRAIRIE ROCK HOMESTEAD Watched his 2part on his inheriting his great great grandfather’s house. Amazing man. And I subscribed. Thanks for recommending him 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
I live around some spoiled cows, and when I saw Tex running, that was the run that said "Don't call ME late for dinner" !!!! I haven't laughed like that in a while! 😆😂🤣
I got so tickled at you saying Tex won’t mind being called a cow. Then, he comes charging up the hill and I think we were all curling our toes. Whew! Scary. He is like, “how dare you demasculate me”. Bahaha Just teasing. I’m amazed though seriously how many people nitpick you guys to death. But numbers don’t lie folks. Keep the faith and keep going strong. Great job and great video as always. 👩🌾💛👏👏👏☀️👍
A Peacemaker- Those nitpickers should TRY farming for a day! We have a 350 acre working farm and really need a sense of humor to go along with the long hours and sometimes grueling work. There are only three of us family members working it because of Covid. No outside hires. And, we are all 70-something! Kevin & Sarah are a hard working brave couple to undertake so much in a tight time frame. They need to get their new farm ready to roll. My hat is off to them. Great job!
@@dianehall5345 I totally agree. I think many of us are impressed with their hard work. I pray strength for your family. I am duly impressed that you three can keep a farm that size running. Covid has taken so much from us but I keep telling myself, one day it won’t be like this and heaven will be worth the journey. Blessing, strength, humor, and better times are being prayed you way. 💙🙏👩🌾
the amish sure know how to build.. and usually are fast, dependable and accurate, so nice to see you use them they are a great resource to any neighborhood that is lucky enough to have them around
Kevin LOVES his pigs... you guys take such good care of all your animals...it is really a joy to watch people who REALLY care about them..food, shelter and love...love watching Kevin with his pigs 🐖
I remember growing up on a farm in Missouri and really remember my parents belief in having the Amish build for you they were moms "The Guy" . When they put hands to wood you know it is done proper and they stand behind their work with pride .
It's so Awesome how GOD has Blessed you as you stepped out in Faith to Live Your Dream. You're an Inspiration to Us All. My Wife Asks about a Storm Shelter on the New Lands.
So happy for the little piglets to come 💓 The space is awesome for myrtle, she's going to love it. Thanks for sharing Kevin and Sarah. It's always such a pleasure seeing you and hearing what's going on on the homestead🌱
Such a beautiful life you two have made for yourselves !!! I so wish I had a husband and he would want to live like this, I’m doing as much as I can alone but adding livestock is just too much. I pray God will lead me to a good man !
A day late watching it was so great to see hope again. Myrtle wow she has gotten big I didn't know she was going to be a mom again how nice. It's so good to see old farm land being used once again. I love the Amish they are some of the nice people I've ever met, I'm down south there are no Amish family or a community. Always good to see you guys, God bless you and keep you guys
I loved the video today. Y'all are doing so well on your homestead. I was wondering though will y'all be putting in a storm cellar there like the other one? just being nosey rosey... If I were 30 years or more younger I would homestead but I'm almost 70 and not able to do all that anymore. Well I guess if I were supposed to God would have seen that is what I did. But I sure get a kick watching y'all. Sarah is so sweet and funny and has the most precious smile and Kevin you are a hoot. I love your tee shirts. my husband wants me to make some for him with my Cricket. Anyway just rambling... sorry. Just know y'all are loved and God bless...
Shirley Hare , I'll be 79 on my birthday , Nov. 4th. I am working at developing my homestead. Yes , there is much that I can not do. but also much that I can do if I just go at it slowly and take my time. I'm not in any kind of a race. lol I do get envious sometimes. At the feed store this very small girl 5' if an inch carries two 50# bags of chicken feed. One under each arm. I get the feed home and it takes me the rest of the afternoon to get one 50# bag off loaded from my truck , into the garage and into the feed barrel. But , I'm in no hurry. If I don't get it done today , there is always tomorrow. I refuse to spend my days watching Oprah like my younger brother.
Myrtle is doubtless feeling absolutely crappy right about now. And once those piggies show up, she'll be feeling absolutely exhausted. In other words - she has every right in the world to not be her usual sweet ol' self. Bless you Myrtle and the good souls who are taking such good care of you!
I’m so excited for you guy! I really can’t wait to see the upgrade move to the new “ homestead “ when you’re ready, I think you two will prosper so well on that on piece of land and then whomever buys your old homestead will enjoy all the hard work you’ve put into it. God bless.
Once dad had separated dairy cows in side by side pastures. Months later the "weaned" were put back with herd. 1 "weaned gal, started nursing her mother again. Yikes So sad that Dolly is going to camp, her coloration is so pretty. Ginger is pretty too
It sounds silly, but I have really grown quite fond of you both. God bless you. It is evident that HE has already. I am so thrilled at every accomplishment and improvement and growth step. You kids work soooo hard, and it blesses my heart when God prospers you. May God continue to bless you and keep you as you continue working and blessing us with your videos.
The shop is looking great! Oh my, more baby pigs! Tex is looking good. I really appreciate your honesty about being around animals that can hurt you. Many people do not respect that cows, while domesticated, can still be dangerous just by their size. I love that your pigs are treated so well. How are your Quail doing?
Totally agree!! I like how they always check behind when filming lol! I stopped watching a 'cattle farmer's' videos because he seemed oblivious to the dangers of these animals and would continue to bring his small child in the pen with him. I honestly couldn't watch it any longer - praying that nothing ever happened to his beautiful little girl.
My neighbors brother just died from being injured by a bull, he was an older man but well experienced around cattle, he got pinned next to a loading gate and didn’t survive ☹️
So excited for all your new happenings and future plans. The animals all look great and I can't wait to see the piglets when they are born. Everything looks awesome and the building is fabulous. I can just dream about the space you will have ..............so awesome to have your implements and machines in a dry weathered in place and where you can work on them if need be. Congratulations. All is looking wonderful thanks to you dedication and hard work. I am sure you never could have imagined all this five years ago! God bless.........you are sure blessing us all with sharing and caring in your lessons and food prep and the whole ball of wax....thank you for all you do!
Great job y'all! So many new things and animals in the last 6 months or so and more babies to come. I'm really excited for you and us too. I've enjoyed following you for the last couple of years and can't wait for what the future holds for you. May God continue to bless you!
Love the new shop and so excited for you to have a place to store equipment and do projects! Also really looking forward to baby piglets. Poor Mildred looks so miserable, but it will pass soon when she sees her babies. 💕
You've grown so much since I started watching your videos. You are definitely an inspiration. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments and growth.
Hello Congratulations on your new building, it’s awesome & roomy for your farm needs 👍 The Amish are amazing when it comes to building & crafting !!! My husband bought me a hand made quilt when we visited Lancaster ❤️ Love your bull too he’s beautiful 🤗 Take care
I haven't been on a farm in many years although I do live in the country. Your videos bring back a lot of great memories and show how rewarding hard work is when you enjoy what you do. Thanks for bringing your farm life to the table (so to speak). Tex made me think of big ole puppy and for just minute I thought he wasn't gonna break before running you over, lol. Love the 'cows'!
Thanks so much for the updates! Personally I'd love to see everyday projects getting done; things that you folks feel are mundane for example cutting the grass, you could do a time lapse with a camera on a tripod. We especially love to see when you feed the ducks (release the hounds!). Anyway great video Kevin & Sara, thumbs up.
Thanks for sharing with us Kevin and Sarah, everything is looking great around there. We are so happy for you folks. Stay safe and keep enjoying your dreams. Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻
so satisfying to see a nice building for your shop and extra parking for out of the bad weather... Great work with all the animals as well ... Thanks for sharing!
It’s very exciting to see all the changes going on in your lives. I just hope you are paying cash for all these upgrades. So many farms that had been passed down from generation to generation were lost after they made the mistake of over-optimism about their future earnings and borrowed to finance their growth. It is nice to see your continued success.
Whatever the signal is they come in. Happily!!! Been there. Even when they were ALL running and playing. All I had to do was say "get in". Everyone got into their feeding place. I stood in the feed stall until they did. I'm only 5'1/2". I loved them but boy! I had to watch out for me.
That’s amazing you our building more buildings and keeping animals out of the weather and safe your farm is looking great and filling out more that is awesome . Wow that is amazing a new work shop that’s cool.God Bless your family and thank you for letting uses come join your family farm .
I'd crawl under those heat lamps right about now! Here in TN, at our house it's 33 degrees! I'm cold. Can't wait to see those baby pigs! Hope your shop finishes up nicely! GOD bless
Im with you! Currently wrapped in a blanket with heavy socks on with a cup of coffee at hand! Man i love this time of year! Piglets are just too cute! Cant wait…lol
Thanks for all you share! Miss your daily routine of feeding the chickens and other birds. Can't wait for the new piglets! How's your daughter doing in college?
Things are looking great! I'm glad y'all have been able to cross since major projects of the list, with the greenhouse and shop. You 2 amaze me with all the work you must do each day, and what great partners you seem to be.
I always love it when you guys show us your farm. And like always we love to see your animals. We love all your videos, short or long ones. Like you we are waiting for the baby pigs. God bless
I had to laugh when Tex started running towards you. I would have run. You are much braver than I am. I am so happy that your building could be built this year. I know you all are looking forward to moving up to the new land. I'm sure it is a pain to have to take care of both properties. Just keeping the grass cut and other maintenance. Well winter is almost here. We are having some cold temps here in WV already. Since you mentioned Myrtle having her piglets I thought I would take this time to announce, I'm a grandmother again. Not just the animals are having babies. I have a brand new granddaughter that was born on Oct. 22. Mom and baby doing fine. Thanks for the interesting videos you all post. Stay safe, stay well. God Bless.
Everything looks so good! TEX is one handsome bull, he should make some beautiful cattle for you. I’m so excited for you to have a new shop. I’ve been watching since you moved to Missouri. You have made some big changes in how you are able to do things. God continue to bless you and yours
That’s funny!! My story is my late husband’s first wife was Linda and my name is Donna. Each time they talk about them, I think to myself: I wouldn’t be caught dead with Linda. But it happened at his funeral. She made sure she sat with the family. To not show a fit , I just let her. It wasn’t the place or time. My husband would have had a fit though. In the end I just had to laugh.
I absolutely love watching your channel! I look forward to each one and learn so much. I learned canning and preserving from my grandmother but Sarah you have taught me so much! For now, we only have chickens but are enjoying the eggs and all the ways to use them. Thank you and keep up the good work!
It was nice to see Myrtle’s smile. Dolly is really pretty colors. It is a shame that she has other traits that you don't want to pass down in your herd. Tex has a beautiful padock with the trees and pond. I wouldn’t mind living with Tex. Nice work shop. The Amish community are such hard working, skilled people. They are a great asset to have in your area.
the area looks good Kevin. you have probably thought of it, separation of a sow and her piglets also includes preventing her squirting milk on a heating element. once one did, fortunate one of us were present to see...if had not we would have lost 15 sows and their litters
@Sage and Stone Homestead the sow’s milk the element, molten liquid dropped into the fresh straw ...seconds to put out the fire. needless to say, we search for new ways to keep the piglets warn right after chores
When I was a younger gal I had a beautiful American Saddle bred great bloodlines. Huge horse. He was like a big dog. I would be out in the field with a wheel barrow and picking up things that shouldn't have been in the pasture. Suzi (horse) would always run right at me when she would see me in the pasture and stop a mere 3 feet in front of me. I'm talking full gallop to me. She would then nudge my elbow for me to pet her. Precious memories.

Everything looks so good! TEX is one handsome bull, he should make some beautiful cattle for you. I’m so excited for you to have a new shop. I’ve been watching since you moved to Missouri. You have made some big changes in how you are able to do things. God continue to bless you and yours
Its looking really good!
I laugh every time you talk about Donna and Linda as my sister is called Donna and Linda is my BFF, ooh boy do they take some ribbing....lol
Thanks for the updates, things are looking great!
A lot of wonderful things happening on the farm! Thanks for the update.

Looks like your moving along!!! Loved seeing the animals!❤️🙏🏻😘
So amazing to see how much you two and your homestead have grown!! i’ve been cheering you on for years! and will be for many more!
Can't beat the work ethic of a good Amish crew. Wise choice of contractors! Thanks for the update.
Have no idea how the two of you manage your homestead so well. Seems like a job for 10 people.
Wow love the updates!! Looks great! thanks! Go Myrtle!!
I knew it! Audio issues my eye. I knew there was no way 2 human beings could do that much work in a day, but these 2 are obviously cyborgs! 😅
You’re onto us! Lol
Sara - I absolutely love the testimony of your T- shirts!
Good ☕️☕️ Morning Kevin & Sarah, the animals are doing so well.Your new workshop is amazing!👏😊👍
Try to milk the pig,if you can get a stream of milk she should pig within 24 hours,if just a pearl of milk it will be more like 72_48 hours
looking good....that is a very nice looking bull.
Sooo exciting to follow the progress
Good morning. Always excited to see your updates. Congratulations on the progress. TEX is amazing!
Wow! What exactly happened?
@Sage and Stone Homestead the sow’s milk the element, molten liquid dropped into the fresh straw ...seconds to put out the fire. needless to say, we search for new ways to keep the piglets warn right after chores
@@michaelsallee7534 wow that sounds like the perfect storm! I'm so glad you were there.
@@SageandStoneHomestead and so were we, our pride they are our charges and we good stewards
😮
When I was a younger gal I had a beautiful American Saddle bred great bloodlines. Huge horse. He was like a big dog. I would be out in the field with a wheel barrow and picking up things that shouldn't have been in the pasture. Suzi (horse) would always run right at me when she would see me in the pasture and stop a mere 3 feet in front of me. I'm talking full gallop to me. She would then nudge my elbow for me to pet her. Precious memories.
Great news!!! Congratulations
Good job my friends. Love you guys cool stuff!
You're doing everything just like my dad did and we had quite a few pigs
