These are good guidelines for online shopping! Another small point to bear in mind while buying footwear, check out if sizes are UK or US. There’s a big difference!

I too agree that checking model size is very helpful , most of the models on myntra are 5.8 which is mine height too , so I rest assured that the length of my top or bottom always are right , though light bit of alterations are required fitting vise because of me being skinny .
Hi Prerna, we all deal with this situation. For ex whenever we are wearing plazo or flaired pants or some short dresses it tends to show our panty lines through such clothes/dresses. Same goes for bra lines.. Plz make a vid on this..... Love ❤️

I personally am an online shopping lover and the video is very informative and detailed. I need to add only one thing about shoe size as my shoe size is very small nd mostly not available on stores like metro. I recommend to go for foot size in inches or cms. Measure ur foot size with measurement tape and then match that size with foot size given in the description of item. Once u are aware about ur foot size u will never buy wrong footwear. 👍

One thing I would like add here is that when you buy product from the brand's website, please keep in mind that their return and refund terms are not as flexible as it's on websites like Myntra etc.

Very helpful video. Some tips I'd like to add:
1. For better discounts: order from brand site/app
For faster delivery/return or refund ease/Favorable customer service: order from Myntra
2. Check Myntra sometimes for right sizing, eg h&m has a confusing size chart.
3. Myntra is BEST to: Check what size the model is wearing(because they have the same pictures as the brand site).
Number 1 tip is so obvious yet I did never think of that. You are a genius.

The top you're wearing is so beautiful. If possible, please try to a video (anytime in future) on tops with different sleeve-styles. I absolutely love puff sleeves, ruffle sleeves😍😍

Myntra thing is absolutely true as I am also stuck with a Libas kurta Palazzo set which showed L but in reality it was 2 size small....now I am stuck with it...as I bought it at discount and hence non returnable....had quite a few exchange of emails but of no use..... Agree with all the points except one that we shouldn't experiment with brands. I think we should, specially if the clothes are made in India to avoid monopoly of certain companies. Suppose we start a new brand but people are not willing to buy then even if I am selling good clothes, my brand won't take off. You can always return so experiment and you will be shocked that some brand offer better quality clothes in lesser price.

very helpful video. But one thing I have realized is that Indian brands/local garments that are available in markets have no standard sizing. It's all over the place. Also, it runs quite small!!
I remember correctly that I use to wear XL/size 14, sometimes L depending on the brand ( I preferred to wear loose-fitting clothes) in US clothing 2 yrs ago.
But, when I went to India, all shopkeepers will show me clothes in 3xl-4xl, Imagine what that did to my self-esteem and confidence. And now when my size is M in US clothing, still Indian wear in size XL will fit me. I have stopped thinking about these things now. But it does take a toll on the mental health of someone who is already struggling with body image issues.
I just wish they start following the standard sizing system (not the Asian/Chinese sizing system as Indian bodies are usually more robust/curvy).

You should try short dresses
Get your dresses/skirts altered to hit right below the knee. Knee high slits work too on longer skirts. Smaller prints don't overwhelm shorter people, so stay away from huge prints which could make one look stout. V-necks or deep v-style neck embroideries or long chains add visual height. Wear shoes that have a low vamp, in the sense shoes that close near the toes and show a fair amount of feet - google this to get an idea. They make ankles look leaner. Don't wear thick ankle strap shoes-they visually cut your leg and make it look stout. Wearing nude shoes also adds the illusion of longer legs. When wearing sarees, make sure the pallu hits 2-3 inches below your knee- not too long or short. Same with chunnis as well - one side shorter than the other also adds the illusion of height. I'm 5'3" and people constantly ask me if I'm 5'8" cos of such styling! 😁 Good luck to you too! 🤗

So true about the modle size. Whenever i want to order a maxi dress or anarkali i always look at height of the model and where the dress is reaching near the ground on her. If it reaches just her ankles it comes at my toes. If it goes lower on her i need to wear the dress with heels. :) You are really helpful..:) after watching your shara video i have ordered cotton lehnga in the same colour.
