  • This video shows the close knit, family oriented Africa- American community who lived in Fairhope since the early 1800's with many descendants of the original families. Interviews show the life of the early settlers, family and community life, discrimination of the time, education and job opportunities and businesses in Fairhope. The Black community represent a pillar of the Fairhope community that have thrived since the beginning of Fairhope. Interview names are found in the online archives of the Fairhope Single Tax Corporation Archives. This video was made available by the Museum of Fairhope History.

    Yes Queens and kings tell the truth about fairhope , that's not fair at all and for the black original residents hope is none with the generational white wealth took over, like they always do.
