Amaya As A Twist Villain (Feat Star) - Original Wish Concept Animatic

I wanted to jump in the Disney Wish bandwagon where the fandom is rewriting the story. I wanted to do something different, but also include the Star Boy/Earandel in some way. I imagine that Asha's grandpa's wish is to live a longer life, way past 100 years, so that he can keep on working on his own unfulfilled wishes to come true (Like he did in the past before Magnifico comes to the throne and started granting wishes) as wanting to live longer is essentially impossible to realize. Since Magnifico is a straight up villain, I thought Amaya could be a twist villain who was always on her husband's side even though she seemingly acted motherly and the "heart" to deal with Magnifico's bad (Think of her in the original movie).
So, what do you think of my attempt of rewrite? How do you want this scene to play instead? I'm listening to your feedbacks.

Okay now that would be a twist villain worth watching because not only do we get the obvious villain we get a twist villain in the same movie as well blending modern and classic Disney. It's brilliant.
Originally she was suppose to to be the villain with her husband too so that would've been cool.

Yep, when i wtach it right now, i thought the same, that it would reference to other movies with the twist villian, being like:
-Magnifico = Classic Villians
-Amaya = Modern/Twist villians

@@jackhummer8344 It made sense because that was they were going for in the movie with his character but the whole movie should have been different in the first place.
Twist villain or evil from the start, it still would have been great.
There have been an evil queen, a good king, a good king and queen couple and now an evil king and queen couple. They take inspiration from the past and still makes something new.
It would have been so good if it happend.
My idea is that, Magnifico like in the original movie, it would be someone driven into madness and become corrupted and be now act as an classic Disney villian
While with Amaya, it's like the twist villian
@@user-gs7ku5gs4b I have heard that in the concept Asha was going to be the king and queen’s daughter. It would have been a awesome story about a princess that fight against her evil parents and becomes the hero and new queen of the kingdom.
Magnifico is presented to be the obvious evil villain, meanwhile Amaya is the secret evil twist villain revealed in the third act. Asha always looked up to Amaya as being a kind and compassionate queen, but turns out she's just as evil as her husband would be an awesome shock.

I am speechless. I can't bear to watch because that would be a twist. Villain twist is worth watching. Not only do we get the obvious villain. We get a twist villain in the same movie as well. A combination between modern and classic that should fix the movie. It should be a first disney Evil couple.

This would so be on par with the Prince Hans twist in my opinion if well executed.
My wish version is that there's a family connection (between Asha's family and King Magnífico/Queen Amaya) but they don't know that they are related until the film events (although grandpa might known or at least knew at one point. Maybe dad too if he is important to the story details). Grandpa or dad walked out on the royal family and settled down in peasant lifestyle. Sakina herself might not even knew that she married royalty or that her daughter is one possible choice to the throne. In other words, she battle with long lost evil uncle and evil aunt. Maybe have the friends eventually help her take over the kingdom?
According to someone online the starboy's name was supposedly going to be Earendel. If you look up the name it means "the morning star" or "the dawn." I could see two different but interesting romantic relationships here. I feel that Earendel is the more carefree and confident one while Asha is shy but intelligent. However, when things goes wrong their roles kinda switch a bit. Earendel reveals to actually have a wise side underneath his cockiness and he kinda help Asha be more confident in herself. The two actually have something in common which is that both of them are family oriented but the different is that Asha also cares about her friends and community. Seeing this kinda help Earendel open up his heart more toward to total strangers.
As for Magnifico and Amaya, I do not wish for some kind of betrayal between them. They are both completely confident and comfortable about their relationship. They're the only ones who relies on each other so that show lot of trust in one another. They are kinda like Gomez/Morticia or Clyde/Bonnie. They will fight and they will die together.
It would be interesting to have a broken family only they don't know they are related but it's not the usual type of you would find such as Tangled or Lion King. Asha actually grow up with a happy childhood. She have fond memories of her dead dad, is doted by her mom and grandpa and have bunch of good friends. But despite having a bookish and shy personality when she find out that her kingdom is in danger, she find herself on a spiritual journey that will test her more than she knew about herself. As for why I think the family connection would be a interesting twist is that here Asha think she is simply fighting evil royals and then in the end she find out that she is actually related to them. Kinda would makes her conflicted on both what to do and how to handle this. Would makes it kinda like a test whether if she going to go ahead and willingly to destroyed them in order to protect others in the kingdom, her grandpa and mom or not.
As much as I enjoyed the movie I wish I had both King Magnifico and Queen Amaya as a couple of power hungry villains but in my opinion the ending says it all, Amaya's look above all makes us understand that it's not over yet. In my opinion Amaya manipulated Asha and the inhabitants of the kingdom of Rosas to get rid of her husband and become the sole ruler of Rosas and how to achieve this if not better than manipulating Asha,joining her only to have the throne of Rosas in her hands and succeeding among other things . And I'll tell you more, she was the one who found that book of dark arts and put it in her husband's study. I could imagine a hypothetical sequel where Amaya sheds the mask of who she is while torturing Magnifico trapped in the mirror under the incredulous eyes of Asha, who too late understood the queen's true plans, and she is forced to flee. And it is precisely in this moment of need that Star is summoned again and presents himself to Asha with new forms,including that of transforming into a human being
Is kinna similar to my fanfic, Amaya is not evil, but...she was a girl capable of killing you in one fell swoop, as she did with her mother😅
and then everyone would forgive disney and pretend Wish 2 was the actual 100th anniversary movie that we deserved.

@@swiflteif "Wish" gets a Sequel, which is hard to happen, it should be the 100th Movie of the Disney Animated Canon.

This could've been the best animated film I've seen in eons if only this came true and wasn't changed! Instead, they decide to just dull it down and go generic? What the hell, Disney?! We were robbed, y'all!

The fact this would be a proper “ on screen” death in a DISENY film since….. Mia as grandmother would be so heartbreaking what hung as through the film we would grow to love & wish he comes out unscathed but then he dies a painful death. This could have been GREAT!!

Magnifico being a classic traditional villain and Amaya a modern twist villain really is 🎵 _best of both worlds_ 🎵 when looking back on Disney Villains! (like Hades and Hans)
Thus making Asha and Star vs Magnifico and Amaya the first true “hero-villain duo” another milestone for the big centennial project!!! no sidekicks or henchmen required! (looking at you Genie, Iago etc)

Amaya saying Ursula’s iconic line from TLM (I can just imagine Star sitting in the corner whilst saying “Sana Sana Colita de Rana” to himself, as it looks like he suffered some sort of injury and he can’t die either due to being immortal or having the lifespan of a real astronomical star)
This should be your entry for the eventual Wish rewrite (a kind of important entry, but once the organisers and other animators see this, they’ll surely be willing to make changes to their original vision to accommodate this)

disney made such lame twist villains like hans (anna's boyfriend) from from frozen and king stephan (princess aurora's father) from maleficent (the live-action of sleeping beauty) am glad that the wish movie made queen amaya(asha's mother) as a good guy
This is SO well made and I would've wanted the Wish movie differently, but I am happy she wasn't a twist villain because we've had too much of those

Magnifico: Oh sweetie, I had to keep a full things from you, otherwise things would've gotten too out of hands.
Amaya: (Embraces her husband) Oh it's all right. Now where were you? Oh yes (evilly chuckles).... I remember. (Creates magical guards with magic shared by Magnifico.) Kill her.
That was amazing!!! I wish this was in the actual movie. Why does Disney waste such good potential nowadays I would love to do a wish rewrite! With my sister-in-law and where including the evil king and queen, in my rewrite, and all of the lost concepts.

Tist villains work best when they make sense rather than just for shock value. Amaya standing by Magnifico makes sense, especially if we got better fleshed out backstories for them.

I think Wish should get a Broadway musical adaptation, except they don’t redo the story from the movie but bring this original concept to life. Just like how Hunchback of Notre Dame was played in musical adaptation which mixes the Disney film with the book. Wish could get the same treatment if it turns into a Broadway musical. You know what I mean?

I am very happy to hear that, but I kinda see the "Magnifico villain song" animatic by krimanga (The one where he sings Good to be king) as more or less a (loose) continuation of this. If you didn't saw it, you should check that animatic out, it's peak.

Yes. But this is based on the original concept of Wish, which had Amaya be a villain, which would’ve made her and Magnifico be Disney’s first evil power couple.
I love the concept of Starboy and Asha having a love interest but the idea of Queen Amaya being evil like King Magnifico just doesn't fit in well with me
I’d like it better if one of them (Magnifico or Amaya) was the true mastermind behind the entire thing while the other is the accomplice who wants to be supportive towards their spouse, even if it meant harming others. I’m fine with either one taking either role, honestly.
