The earlier the race starts, the better chance there is to best the weather. If it’s dry all day and it rains at 3:00, you’re potentially screwed. If it rains at noon, you have a better chance of getting it in, as proven. In my opinion, it was better when it started at 11:00, and it was even on Central time then, and I’m in California. Loved getting up early to the Indy 500.
Re: Alex's mentioning running third very late in the race when everyone's flat out and still just being a 'spectator'...is Alex saying the wash from two flat running cars is simply too much for the front of these tractors to hold? (and, obviously, adding enough wing to correct that will kill your speed making it a moot point anyway?) That is indeed a drag (pun not intended but I'll take it...) and is anticompetitive in a very real sense. As he says, P3 after all those miles should be worth at least a fighting chance for the win (beyond 1 &2 crashing each other out.) Is there a realistic aero or power solution to consider? There really needs to be. Maybe 20-30 secs of p2p on the straights and/or a DRS system of some type? As thrilling as the last two years have been, P1 and P2 swapping around would be a lot more interesting if P3 and even a charging P4 had a shot. Thanks for always sharing such insights so honestly, truly adds a lot to my (already immense) enjoyment of this series. Cheers guys. EDIT: I just realized not one word, literally, was said about Pato in his teammate's pod's recap of the race that--even in defeat--solidified his global superstardom. Interesting? Meaningful? Maybe....
Data shows that only ~20% of Americans go to church every Sunday. It’s insane to me that we’re still making time slot decisions around such a small percentage of the population.

Alex seems very over talking to people after the month of may. Not ‘people people’ just normal ‘people’. He needs some alone time. Maybe in Detroit.
