This calculations are OK....but when you going to buy a particular tonnage of steel for slab or any concrete structures , it won't be applicable.....You should have to calculate the wastage , moreover you have to consider the standard length of steel which available in market.
You can find out the self weight of slab as per this method of quantity calculations
