    There are only a few iconic football stars being constantly admired across the globe for their art of handling a ball and controlling a game, winning basically all the relevant titles. There are a hand full of players in each generation and Toni Kroos is one of them.
    The feature documentary KROOS produced by Emmy Award winning Producer Leopold Hoesch follows Toni’s path from small town Greifswald in eastern Germany to the Capital of world Football Real Madrid. The film provides unseen images of the life of this exceptional athlete and very special individual. It shows him and his teams winning basically every possible Football title several times, including four times the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA World Cup, LaLiga, La Copa and Die Bundesliga.
    For KROOS, the award winning director Manfred Oldenburg was granted unprecedented behind the scene access to the closed-off world of international football, featuring exclusive footage and interviews with sports icons like Zinédine Zidane, Pep Guardiola, Luka Modrić and Sergio Ramos. Long serving Club presidents Florentino Pérez and Uli Hoeneß open the doors of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, celebrity fan Robbie Williams gives his explanations of the “incredible Kroos”, as do publicist and philosopher Wolfram Eilenberger and famous German football expert Marcel Reif.
    KROOS provides an intimate and highly entertaining insight into the extraordinary life of a professional football player, creator of a charity foundation and, above all, family man. The combination of all three topics is the parenthesis of Toni Kroos’ life of sharing and winning.

    Kroos won UCL with Bayern in 2013, won the WC with Germany in 2014 then he joined Real Madrid and won 3 in a row. And now his 4th with Madrid but 5 on his count. What a great player. Too bad he is not a striker like Messi or CR7 or else he would've taken a few Ballon d'or himself.

    Unfortunately he played right next to one of the best midfielders in the world, Luka Modric has been playing just a hair little better than kross when it comes to play defense, he is why leo Messi hasn't score against Real Madrid in a while but Kross is the best when it comes to ball passing, Honestly they team up very good with Casemiro and on my opinion they have been the best Midfielders on history since they won 3 champions in arrow... Iniesta, Xavy and Busquets were good as well but only when they had the possession of the ball, they were not versatile as Real Madrid s Midfielders

      @doggerlander Před 2 lety +3

      " Iniesta, Xavy and Busquets were good as well but only when they had the possession of the ball"
      In Guardiola's barça, possession was not a luxury, it was a key part of the strategy, their defense is based around having the ball, hence they would often have over 70% of possession each match. And they fulfilled it excelently, Xavi had vision for days, Iniesta would hold the ball like no one else, and Busquets was absolutely cold blooded, and his defense was nothing to scoff at. Kroos, Modric and Casemiro function perfectly in the Madrid system, but wouldn't be able to keep the ball and play it around the same way the Barça trio did, specially Casemiro who kinda sucks with the ball. They're mostly meant to look for chances to send the ball forward in a more direct or counter-attacking strategy, while in Barça, they looked to contain the ball.

      it's the one thing I disagree with what Pep said here (yeah, I know, how dare I). Because the players you mentioned are the ones that actually define the game, it's not the attackers. Messi, Christiano, Neymar, those fantastic players wins games, but it's the team around them that makes them win Championships. One just has to take a look at the competitions this year: Leverkusen, Real, Inter, by far the best defense in their respective leagues, in England it's the same with Arsenal, City and Liverpool.
      Of course, it helps to have those offensive superstars in your team, but Bayern is a prime example how tons of goal don't really help you if your defense isn't there

      Te lo traduzco:
      A ver, yo creo que es un animal competitivo, Toni, emmm si cierto que es una persona tranquila, una persona de familia, de estar en casa con sus hijos, no sale en los medios de comunicación, no tiene ni Instagram, ni muchas cosas de este tipo, pero lo que más me ha impresionado de Toni como futbolista, como jugador, es que siempre está. Siempre. En este sentido es muy amateur. A él le gusta jugar a fútbol y no importa dónde: la final de la champions league o el partido de la primera eliminatoria de la Copa. En Alemania o en España. Le gusta jugar siempre. Es un jugador con una efectividad impresionante. Es decir, tu puedes contar con él 60 partidos en una temporada. Estos son los físicamente fuertes. Muchos pensamos que los físicamente fuertes son los que corren más o saltan más, o loa que van hacia atràs más deprisa. Pero igual juegan 20 partidos y están tres meses lesionados. Él no se lesiona nunca. Juega con calor, con frío, con lluvia, con viento, en todas las circunstancias siempre está disponible. Creo que el factor más importante de Toni, el que lo diferencia de muchos otros jugadores conocidos es que le encanta jugar al fútbol, ama jugar al fútbol, se lo pasa bien jugando al fútbol. Se entrena, juega, siempre está. Muchas veces recuerdo una vez que el doctor le dijo que tenía que estar tres semanas parado, lesionado y él dijo: no, no, no, yo en dos semanas juego. Y en dos semanas estaba jugando. Por eso es un jugador de los más competitivos que he encontrado, y sobre todo, sobre todo...de los que nunca se echa para atrás, nunca te deja solo. Es un jugador de clase mundial porque lleva ocho, diez años, a un nivel top. Cuando un jugador está ocho, diez años, siempre a un nivel top, jugando 50 o 60 partidos es un jugador de clase mundial. Evidentemente, no es un jugador del nivel de Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo o Neymar, OK, básicamente porque su papel es diferente. Ellos son atacantes, goleadores, que definen partidos, y él es de otro perfil, pero como todo buen jugador alemán, se adapta bien en todas partes, salió de Alemania, se fue al Madrid, que noes un equipo fàcil, porque hay mucha presión, pero desde el primer momento parecía que jugaba con el Real Madrid desde hacía 20 años
