Not to be confused with the regular peas we eat, Sweet peas are not edible to humans, their seeds are poisonous, but many other creatures find them tasty.
Zinnia (Zinnia elegans)
Nectar-rich zinnia flowers are magnets for bees and other pollinators. Pale and pastel varieties seem attractive to Japanese beetles and can be used as a trap plant. On the other hand, unless you have a problem you are trying to solve, you may not want to plant something that attracts Japanese beetles.
