As we finish up our study of 1 and 2 Kings, we'll read what at first glance will seem like some rather somber narrative. These two chapters recount the fall of Jerusalem, the destruction of the Temple, and the deportation of the people of Judah to exile in Babylon. We can only imagine the questions that plagued their hearts and minds through those dark and violent moments and as many of them were dragged hundreds of miles from home and country. And yet, as we look a bit closer and consider the context of Redemption History, we can also see glimmers of hope on the horizon and the comfort and presence of God in and through it all.
Join Pastor Jim as he walks us through the fall of the southern kingdom of Judah and the reasons we can still trust the faithful promises of the sovereign God of the Bible.
