Magnificent music and lyrics! All praise to the great God Who is honored by this musical tribute.

Romsey Choral Society did this in Romsey Abbey : I was glad to be part of it.

I am deeply in love with Mendelssohn... First is his 5th, then his 2nd symphony! Thanks, David!
A good performance, the only English spea, king version I could find on line. Looking forward to singing it in the Royal Albert Hall July 8th
Glorious
W O N D E R F U L !!! Can't wait to sing this masterpiece in May. Amazing conduction and interpretation on this one and kind of rare in English!
24:30 "I Waited for the Lord" for soloists and chorus is often done separately as a church anthem.
A Wonderful Symphony ,Beautiful Performance with the Choir and immense Talent .🎶🎶✨🎼💥🥰✨🌹
Perfect
You sing this song is so cool I like it
12:25 All man, All things (Alles was odem hat)
주를 기다릴 때 Duet and Chorus 24:30
Happy to hear it in English. Loved the soloists. Orchestra was a little disappointing in spots, but overall great interpretation of this lovely piece.
The English lyrics completely destroy the piece. It's a shame.
17:07 favourite part
The performance is magnificent - but I still prefer the original version. Compare "The Night is Departing" with "Die Nacht ist vergangen!"
Mendelssohn's "Lobgesang" in German - and Handel's Messiah in English!
Rehearsal D 49:00
주께 간구할지어다. Chorus 22:31
A very good performance, however, it is a shorter version, usually, the chorus doesn't come in until around 23 minutes, in this version it was at least 10 minutes earlier, nevertheless, I liked this performance, the first time I have heard it in English
Hi Alan - yes, we only did the first and the last movements - which connected very well.
@@DavidChinMusic NO NO, I am not complaining about an excellent performance by the students, I think only 10 minutes were missed, I go to concerts a lot performed my students, this performance was excellent, 5 stars.
@@alanmorr3635 Thank you for your encouragements, and they weren't being taken the wrong way! :-) Really appreciate you took time to watch and share your comments with me!
24:30 Here's the beginning of "I Waited for the Lord" for soloists and chorus, often done as a church anthem.
Why are the second and third movements of the sinfonia missing?
Thank you for watching! There was a time limit for my doctoral recital, and therefore we have decided to leave out the second and the third movements.
A good effort, but lacking pace & energy, especially towards the end.
True really on the night is departing that's were they started slowing down the time but am sure they know what they did that for ... All in a good performance
@John Lang Thank you for your comment, and will keep this in mind when I get a chance to conduct this again next time.
Beautiful performance, but ... the conductor should have given when/where the orchestra should have picked up their instruments just before playing. Maybe 10 seconds? Maybe 15 seconds? It was very awkward to see them doing it differently.
Every orchestra I've ever watched picks up their instruments at different times. What orchestra have you seen which synchronizes that?
In English.
