As always, an interesting and informative video. Thanks for being transparent and for the support you provide to the reseller community 😊
Very nice sales again! If you ever plan to go to a Colorado show, let me know! Maybe we can meet up.
Best youtube videos to listen to while stuck in traffic :-) Couldn't make it to DeLand Florida show so I flew to California and will be at the Buena Park postcard show tomorrow 😀
Nice. Pick some winners!
This video is on the default CZcams home page right now. Congrats.
Great call "parting out" that old map! 100x your investment and still more on the way.
Thanks. Gotta look beyond the whole and slice and dice away to get the pieces parts.
@@PopeyesPostcards that's been my philosophy with my print ads for years now and the ROI is through the roof.
Great find on that old atlas John. What’s the term for those old divided back cards that have peoples faces making up the letters? I’ve seen them as greetings from towns and also names. Thanks
I still call them Large Letter Greetings From "Name" Women In Letters
So proud of you for listing and the reward great $$$ Do you have Oklahoma Oregon Indiana cards for Saturday? Keep up the listing work while you do everything else Lol
I don't have these state sorted out. I'll do my best to pull some together for future auctions. Thank you!!!
Is there a book or website out there to research DPO cancels?
The USPS has a list about.usps.com/who/profile/history/postmaster-finder/post-offices-by-disc-date.htm But the best set of books on the subject are the ones from Richard Helbock. They can be found used on Amazon & ebay. www.amazon.com/United-States-Post-Offices-Vol/dp/0971260869/ref=sr_1_6?crid=TWRMR13OC1GM&keywords=richard+helbock&qid=1674414110&sprefix=richard+helbock%2Caps%2C64&sr=8-6 there are several books in the series covering different regions in the US.
Hi, I've been binge-watching your videos because I'm trying to learn more about selling postcards. I have 3 postcards that are what I finally figured out are aluminum. These are still in a vellum covering. Do you know anything about these? I watched all your beginner guide videos, and now I'm working on your other videos. And I've watched other videos on types of postcards, but no one mentions aluminum. Any help would be great.
I've run into aluminum postcards before. They fall under the novelty category like squeaker cards, wood cards, etc. They aren’t very common and depending on the scene printed on the front, such as a desirable location/town, they can be valuable, $100+. Thank you for watching.
@@PopeyesPostcards one is written on, it's a souvenir 1905 Bridge of all Nations Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition Portland, OR
One is a picture of the Foreign Exibit Building, with same L&C Portland
The third one is a forestry building souvenir L&Clark Portland.
The backs are undivided, "this side exclusively for the address" a stamp area, and says Post Card.
Would you recommend listing together? and for how much? Thank you
@@Alritythen If I had them I would list them separately at an auction ending on a Sunday evening, with a starting price in the $39.99 to $49.99 area. If you're not an auction person, $99.99ea with best offer.
I am going to my first postcard show this week. Do most vendors take cards or cash based upon your experience?
Mostly cash, some will take personal checks, only a few will be set up to do credit cards. Some dealers with have posted discounts if you buy X amount. If you don't see anything posted and you have $100 worth of cards in your hands, ask if they can do any discount. Good luck, have fun. Just remember you won't be able to see every single card so don't get overwhelmed.
@@PopeyesPostcards Thank you for answering my question and for the tips.
