- ►In this video I show you how you can make real rubies at home using only arc welder!
►These are real rubies, but very poor quality, so they are not valuable. They also dont have the optical clarity to make laser rods.

I've been trying this for the past couple days after watching the other guys video and not getting any luck, watching your video I realise I made the same mistakes and more, wish I'd seen this first, thanks man hope you're well!
I was waiting for another video.Great vid. Question. Will you be making weopons any time soon?
I can't speak English well, but I was drawn to the title. The video is so fun🥰
Please can you make the remington 700 sniper with templates
This is quite fascinating. I may try it myself in the future. Are brighter rubies objectively better, or is that just your personal preference? I think I'd like darker ones more, myself.
Brighter ones usually fluoresce a bit more, but other than that it just comes down to personal taste.
I see. Thanks for answering.
If you were to enclosed the powder in a box so that the powder doesn't fly everywhere and make a big one with minimal bubbles, would you be able to polish it to where it's clear?
No, unfortunately not, the polycrystalline structure is inherent to the process..
Thanks for making this video. My son and I tried today at home but we did not get sphere rubies as you did. Just random shapes and mostly full of white :( Any advice you can give us?
Sounds like it is not completely melting properly. Are you sure that you have pure ingredients? If molten, the powder will bead up into these round shapes. Maybe try using more power..
I am eager to see how these rubies looked after cutting. Do you have any images of them?
Yes! I actually looked at them under a microscope a few months ago. Here's what I found:

@@WoodenWeaponry Hey I know it's 7 months after you commented this and 2 years after you posted but thanks so much for sharing the microscopy pics :)
You could make ruby bench stone sharpening plates , and other stuff like that just like Diamond bench stones are made, could kill it and make a decent profit

Todos acham que a alumina é óxido de
Alumínio como o usado nesta experiência, mas não é, existem outros atributos a alumina que a tornam própria para a cristalização e o cromo também,sem isto não é possível se fazer um rubi cristalino.
❤❤❤❤❤
How about a big wooden axe
Formula is Cr2O3 😬
Actually, it is Cr:Al2O3 :)
The formula of the green Chromium(3)oxid is Cr2O3. 🙂
